A Russian delegation led by the country’s deputy navy commander Vladimir Kasatonov has arrived at the Eritrean port city of Massawa for bilateral talks.

It was welcomed on Monday by senior Eritrean military officials led by army chief Philipos Woldeyohannes and Culture and Sports Commission Commissioner Zemede Tekle.

The visit is part of the events marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, local media report.

⭕ 🚨 Occupation forces are withdrawing from the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in #Gaza City in the northern Strip, towards the southwest of the city amidst heavy cover fire and artillery shelling.

This comes after 14 days of siege, execution of hundreds, and the kidnapping of nearly 1,000 among the patients and displaced Gazans in the hospital, and the destruction of homes in its vicinity.

Eyewitnesses report the withdrawing vehicles are indiscriminately firing at buildings and people during their withdrawal. The Emergency Committees in the area called on citizens not to rush to inspect the conditions around Al-Shifa Hospital for fear of the presence of ambushes and IOF snipers.
⭕ 🚨 Field sources reported that the bodies of at least 50 martyrs were recovered inside and around Al-Shifa Medical Complex near Gaza City following the IOF’s withdrawal tonight after a two-week-long siege that saw the hospital turn into a military barracks.

Until the final moments before their withdrawal, the occupation army continued to commit crimes, including burning homes in the vicinity of the Complex (media 5).

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirmed that the fascist zionist occupation forces have committed one of the bloodiest massacres in Al-Shifa hospital in the past few days since the beginning of the aggression against unarmed civilians and displaced people.

The Front added that what was discovered in the hospital after the zionist withdrawal from scenes of death, destruction, and complete destruction of Al-Shifa hospital and its exit from service, committing atrocities and field executions against a large number of prisoners, besieging, starving, and terrorizing those besieged and detained in the hospital, violating the sanctities of the martyrs’ bodies scattered around, and burning dozens of buildings surrounding the compound constitutes a war crime and a complex genocide that humanity has not known even in the times of the Tartars and Nazism.

⭕ Dr. Amira Al-Safadi explains what patients and the medical staff were subjected to after the occupation stormed Al-Shifa Complex. Throughout the siege, the occupation made them evacuate the patients from building to building four times:

“We have been besieged on the night of 18th March. They shouted on microphones that Al-Shifa Hospital is besieged from all directions and no one is allowed to leave. The next day, they made us evacuate all the patients to the reception room. There were more than 100 patients but many were martyred. About 16 of those who were in the ICU were martyred and we couldn’t do anything to save them.”

“3 days ago, they sent us these signs. The red were for people who cannot walk at all and the yellow for the ones who can. They told us that it is connected to the snipers, anyone who comes out of the building not wearing these signs will be shot.”
⭕ The IOF abducted Sabah Haniyeh, the sister of Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh, from her home near Bir Al-Sabi’ in southern occupied Palestine, where she has lived with her husband for years.

Zionist forces stormed her home, stole her belongings, and accused her of “serious security offenses.”
⭕ New stories continue to come out of Al-Shifa Hospital following the IOF’s withdrawal this morning.

In the attached clip, journalist Anas Al-Sharif greets Abdullah Al-Hajj, previously reported to be martyred, who was stuck in the hospital for two weeks after losing his legs.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Ismail Al-Ghoul, who was abducted and tortured from Al-Shifa Hospital at the beginning of the siege speaks in the attached clip how his brother Khaled was one of the hundreds of martyrs found among the remains of the hospital. He took a moment to bury and pray for his brother before returning to the field to continue reporting.

12 hours after the withdrawal, families continue to search for their martyred and missing loved ones.

⭕ The search for martyrs continues following the IOF’s withdrawal from Al-Shifa Medical Complex after a two-week-long siege. Hundreds of bodies were found in and around the Complex in between the burned and destroyed buildings, in addition to a “temporary graveyard” created because of the IOF, who bulldozed the bodies of the martyrs on top of the courtyard of the hospital. Over the last hours, several bodies were transferred to Al-Maamadani Hospital.

Since the ground invasion began, the hospital, which is the largest in the Gaza Strip and older than the zionist entity itself, has been besieged three times, having housed thousands of displaced people and staff.

400 martyrs have been recovered from the rubble, with an untold number burned, buried, or crushed by bulldozers and tanks, now unrecognizable. The hospital itself is completely non-functional, as all wards were destroyed. Martyrs were found handcuffed and with gunshots to the head.

Journalist Yousef Fares added: “The locals talk about burying the injured people alive under the dirt, about shackling the victims and drowning them in mud and water, then burying them.”

The massacre that took place here will not be forgotten, immortalized in the criminal record of the fading zionist entity, remembered for generations alongside the massacres of the Nakba and the camps for its sheer brutality. I received this message from a colleague in northern Gaza:
It’s day 14 of the siege imposed on Al-Shifa Medical complex. Based on testimonies from the medical staff inside, the situation as follows;

107 patients ,most of them are severe cases that had been in the ICU, and 60 of the medical staff have been incarcerated in an old building in the hospital that does not have the capacity to host such number of patients nor the equipments.

The situation as reported by many of the staff is horrific and inhumane; no ventilation, cleaning conditions, water, nor minimum medication has been provided leading to septic wounds with white flies out of them.

Doctors mentioned that they ran out of gloves so they started using plastic bags when changing on wounds which ran out as well. In addition they reported the lack of elderly diapers, especially that 30 patients are bed ridden and use diapers and in intensive need of medical care and nursing that the limited number of staff is incapable of providing. Furthermore, patients’ companions are either executed, arrested or displaced to the south by the military which add another burden on the staff.

Moreover, the military is starving the besieged patients and staff with no food or drinkable water provided for days. The staff representative tried multiple times to convey their needs to the military leadership, however; he was met by violation and mistreatment.

⭕ Last night, the Holy Family Latin Church in Gaza City held a mass on the eve of Easter Sunday, holding the ceremony in darkness due to the lack of power.

Father Youssef As’ad presided over the mass, joined by Christian Gazans who have been displaced to the church since the beginning of zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.

It is noteworthy that in December 2023, a mother and her daughter were martyred, and 7 others were wounded, by the bullets of IOF snipers outside the courtyard of the church. Others have been martyred by bullets or lack of medicine and the siege.

Mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and freedom for the prisoners

O our people, our Arab and Islamic nation, and free people of the world, in light of the continued direct targeting by the “israeli” occupation army of the popular and tribal committees while they were securing aid trucks on Salah al-Din Road, Kuwait Roundabout, and over several days, the occupation targeted the popular and tribal committees resulting in more than 70 of our people martyred and dozens injured.

After consultations among the families, we affirm the following:

1. It has become unbearable to witness children, women, the elderly, and the sick dying due to the famine caused by the occupation.

2. The initiative of the families to secure the arrival of aid to its rightful recipients came in the absence of UN institutions, especially the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the World Food Programme, exclusively.

3. The initiative of the families to secure aid was based on meetings with UN institutions and international organizations and the calls of our people for modest help.

4. The initiative came after several massacres conducted by the occupation on the Sea Road and Salah Al-Din Road against citizens waiting for aid.

5. The occupation caused chaos and famine due to its refusal to allow international institutions, especially the Red Cross, UNRWA, and the World Food Programme, to operate in the Gaza and North Gaza Governorates.

Therefore, the families, mukhtars, and notables have decided the following:

1. To stop the popular and tribal committees from securing aid due to the ongoing aggression by the occupation against them.

2. To demand the United Nations to work on reinstating UNRWA and enabling refugees, the World Food Programme, and the Red Cross to operate in the Gaza and North Gaza Governorates.

3. We call upon the United Nations for a comprehensive relief program that covers the needs of families in terms of quantity and quality.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor documents new testimonies regarding looting and plundering operations carried out by the “israeli” occupation army in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

We documented looting operations of money and properties including valuable items from the Palestinians and their homes when they were forcibly displaced from them or when their homes were burned and destroyed by the occupation forces.

The occupation army overlooks, and sometimes encourages, its soldiers to loot valuable items and money from the Palestinians and their homes without holding them accountable, often without official documentation.

Many homes that were subjected to looting and theft were burned by the soldiers or were bombed and destroyed as part of a policy based on collective revenge and the dehumanization and denationalization of Palestinians.

⭕ 🚨 After the resistance’s declaration of civil obedience in Nour Shams camp, #Tulkarem last night, gunfire targeted the headquarters of the Palestinian Intelligence Service in Tulkarem moments ago.

The resistance has locked the camp down with earth mounds and explosives. Tension remains high after PA Forces wounded and attempted to kidnap the head of Saraya Al-Quds – Tulkarem Brigade, Abu Shujaa.

Local sources report that undercover PA Forces and vehicles are deployed around the camp in preparation to invade, ahead of the mass march set to take place in the camp’s Al-Katiba Square tonight in support of the resistance and in protest of the PA’s pursuit of fighters.
