The #US is very upset following Prime Minister @netanyahu ‘s recent declaration that Israel will not withdraw its military forces from the Philadelphi Corridor, which borders Rafah in southern Gaza. Georgia Tech is ending its research and teaching partnerships in the Chinese cities of Tianjin and Shenzhen, the university said Friday, following congressional scrutiny of its collaboration with entities allegedly linked to the Chinese military.

In May, the US House of Representatives Select Committee on China wrote to Georgia Tech asking for details about its research with the university in Tianjin, in northeastern China, on cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.

The Chinese school and its subsidiaries were added to the US Commerce Department’s Export Restrictions List in 2020 for actions contrary to US national security, including stealing trade secrets and collaborating on research to advance China’s military.
