Saudi Arabia .gov spox

This is a video and tweet from the Saudi Arabia Government spokesperson, since tweeted out widely.  Sovereignista does not have a translator from Arabic to English, but we do have a translator in the region that understands some of it.    If there is an Arabic translator, we would appeciate a direct translation into English.  The person who checked this for me said that there are similar words that are also used in other local languages. The mention of Eilat is clear.  The bad English subtitles state that the “‘Houthis’ are a threat to Bab-al-Mandeb, xxx, xxx, and Eilat” — so this tweet seems to be accurate by the very fact that Eilat is included.

It is now being reposted and I received it as a repost from Professor Marandi, which gives us some certainty that there is something in here.

Of course it is easy to refute a spox, so let us do some more work and look at one surrounding event to seek context.

Baghaei: ‘We do not approve of war between two Islamic countries’

Iran’s FM spox says Tehran is ready to help mediate tensions between KSA and Yemen, warning that continued conflict would benefit Israel while defending Yemenis’ right to live free from sanctions and blockades

I have seen more commentary as follows:

Here is what the alignment actually looks like in practice. Saudi Arabia, the custodian of Islam’s holiest sites, coordinating with Israel. The UAE, self-styled hub of the Arab future, normalizing with the state that controls Gaza. Bahrain, a majority Shia country, hosting the U.S. Fifth Fleet while its own Sunni-led government suppresses its own Shia population. These are not small ironies on the margins of the story. These are the story. A regional order in which some Arab states have decided that their own survival requires alignment against other Arabs, other Muslims, other poor people trying to determine their own future. That is the political order they have chosen. And they chose it because the alternative, genuine independence, genuine sovereignty, genuine regional solidarity, would require confronting not just Iran but the system that keeps them in place.

After that long intro going through what is quite a normal confirmation process for us, what did this spox say that calls us to attention:

Depending how much truth is in there, many events are just simply overturned. Why is Saudi Arabia refusing up to this moment to end the siege on Yemen and to stop fighting? Why is Pakistan there (outside of the nonsense being reported)? I have not seen Turkiye in, but there are Greek and Italian influences. And we do know that the US has upwards of 200 training support staff on Saudi Arabia’s side. I saw this morning that US troops from San Diago received their quick marching papers to get into the theater but cannot confirm. It cannot only be Eilat, it has to be broader.

So my question is if this whole region excepting Yemen and Iran and a few more are fighting as Israeli or Collective West Proxies? What do you think?
