Iran’s Medium Range Two-Stage Ballistic Missile targeting (not strike) on Diego Garcia
This is shocking and it is from the Iranian Hoopoe Channel.
Weeks ago there were rumors that Iran had tested a long range ballistic missile. Today (still take with salt), Iran targeted Diego Garcia.

Iran is now capable of striking Paris, London, and Berlin.
Iran launched two medium-range ballistic missiles (~4,000 km) at the US-British base on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
Why is this event catastrophic and historic?
Launching two missiles with a range of ~4,000 km means that the actual capability is far greater than what Tehran has announced.
This is Iran’s first known attempt to strike a target outside the Middle East with ballistic missiles.
Warfare is no longer confined to the Middle East – Iran is demonstrating the ability to target US-British targets thousands of kilometers away.
Diego Garcia is no ordinary base:
A major hub for B-2 and B-52 strategic nuclear bombers
A base for nuclear submarines
A crucial logistics center for US operations in the Indian Ocean and the Middle East
Targeting it would mean attempting to cripple long-range US air and naval capabilities
Even if the strike fails, the message is clear:
Iran has the capability (or is very close to) striking US and UK strategic targets outside the region
The geographic scope of the war has expanded dramatically
Any US/UK base in the Indian Ocean or further afield is now vulnerable
This means, theoretically, that the distance from Iran to Western European capitals is very short:
Iran – Paris ≈ 4200–4400 km
Iran – London ≈ 4300–4500 km
Iran – Berlin ≈ 3800–4000 km
If it can reach Diego Garcia (3800–4000 km), then theoretically it can reach the capitals of Western Europe, especially with reduced load or improved propulsion.
