Brian Berletic: Why Facing Ugly Realities is Essential for Winning, Not “Defeatism”

Brian Berletic is under pressure.  I believe this is part of the underlying pressure against South Asia as a whole.  In Europe we see commentators being brutally repressed with sanctions and lawfare.  The latest here is Glen Diessen.

I did not post Brian’s work on the Serbian Student List movement only because we were busy with other, more serious work at the time.  If you have a special interest, it is all on his YouTube channel.

Over to Brian:   

▪️Each day I receive dozens of comments accusing me of “defeatism” for simply pointing out uncomfortable facts with no specific explanation about what I’m “wrong” about let alone any evidence to support their claim;

▪️Each day I receive 100s of comments accusing me of being “wrong,” again, without any specific explanation of what I’m wrong about let alone evidence to support their claim;

▪️By necessity I must block and clear both of these comments from my feed to make room for people who are engaging in mature, fact-based, civilized discourse;

▪️Pointing out facts, no matter how uncomfortable or unwelcome they are, is essential in understanding the world and formulating a rational solution to specific problems, not “defeatism;”

▪️Refusing to face reality because it makes you uncomfortable is ironically the fasted path to actual defeat;

▪️It is essential to follow the truth no matter how unpleasant, and no matter where it takes you, and no matter how desperately you wish it wasn’t true;
