Seyed M. Marandi: Iran’s Supreme Leader Orders Military to Strike W/O Geographic Limits
Nima Alkorshid and Professor Marandi discusses the strategic guidance given by Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, after his meeting with his senior military commanders. Prof. Marandi describes very clearly the so-called negotiators and the Iranian view which certainly is not what is generally advertised.
Here is the full statement from Al Mayadeen. What is really important is the comment on a new West Asia political order
Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s Leader and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, has ordered the country’s military forces to respond immediately and effectively to threats of any kind, without geographic restrictions.
During a meeting with senior military commanders, Sayyed Khamenei said maintaining informed combat readiness to confront threats with strength and capability was necessary to achieve the highest level of deterrence. He instructed the Armed Forces to respond to every level of threat, regardless of its nature, with an immediate and effective response.
Sayyed Khamenei also stated that if military or terrorist attacks were resumed, Iran’s Armed Forces and people would determine when and under what circumstances those attacks would end.
Sayyed Khamenei calls for intensified defense advancements
He called for strengthening military intelligence structures, developing an independent national defense doctrine and tactics, and upgrading defense and security capabilities in line with new developments through the use of modern technologies. He also stressed strengthening morale and what he termed the “jihad spirit,” while continuing efforts to meet the livelihood needs of Armed Forces personnel and provide them with necessary support.
As part of his directives, Sayyed Khamenei ordered an update to the target bank to place various material and non-material assets belonging to the “American-Zionist enemy” within the range of the Armed Forces’ fire.
Sayyed Khamenei also said public support for the Armed Forces was a pillar of deterrence against foreign powers hostile to Iran and their domestic agents.
He said the continued presence of the Iranian people in public squares and other venues over the past eight months was an extension of the eight-year “Sacred Defense,” which, alongside the resistance of the military, security and Basij forces, protected Iran’s territorial integrity and Islamic system and would continue to do so.
Unity of front decisive factor for new West Asia political order
He praised the conscious resilience and steadfastness of the Resistance Front across different countries, saying that the “unity of fronts” was a decisive factor with strategic implications for shaping a new political and security order in West Asia.
Furthermore, Sayyed Khamenei expressed hope that the emerging order would help strengthen unity among the peoples and governments of Islamic countries and pave the way for the establishment of a new Islamic civilization.
During the meeting, Major General Abdollahi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces; Major General Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Army; and Major General Vahidi, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, presented reports on the readiness of forces stationed along the Gulf coast, in operational areas around the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman, and along Iran’s northwestern and southeastern borders.
The commanders also reported a several-fold increase in the production of various types of ammunition and weapons for reconnaissance, support and combat operations.
Sayyed Khamenei expressed satisfaction with the activities and efforts undertaken and asked senior commanders to convey his greetings, thanks and appreciation to military, security and Basij personnel, employees of the institutions and the Defense Ministry, as well as their families.
Very powerful. And much needed clarity.
