Soon after the start of the war, Iran announced — as it had previously warned — the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world’s oil trade passes.  As a result, traditional oil supplies have been disrupted, pushing prices over $100 per barrel.  To contain the domino effect, the US decided to release as much as 172 million barrels of oil from its strategic reserve, Reuters reports.  In a desperate attempt to keep prices low, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced on X that “temporary” purchases of Russian oil are to be allowed for Russian oil, already on the water, and there are a few other requirements.  As of today, these countries want Russian oil immediately if not sooner.  I am sure this list will grow sharply.

In my view, the current war and wars, is literally the pigeons kicking over the chessboard with zero regard for the planet, hoping that something will remain that they can loot and again come out on top.  They would rule over a dustbowl before they give up their hopes to be the only ruler, hegemon and king of the world.  I cannot stress enough the sheer size of the Global change that we find ourselves in or watching.  Some of our people are in, literally and some are in extreme economic danger and others are in mortal danger.  We have to discuss over the weekend the stitching together of all the wars into one great conflageration.

But there is a world left.  Yesterday in China was a farming day, and Xi Jinping went planting with kids.

The permanent mission of China to the United Nations made a clear statement yesterday.  “Israel must withdraw from Lebanon.”

Let me ask a question.  Would you prefer China keeping a Zone of Peace and Stability where kids can plant trees, or would you prefer China to fall in and fight war as well?

Israel is indeed trying to pivot to attacking Lebanon mainly, but Hezbollah and Iran are carrying out joint defense actions with help from the factions in Iraq.  The destruction in Israel is widespread and will continue.  The northern settlers are living in basements and shelters, and fleeing.  The Hebrew papers state this:  The Hebrew newspaper “Israel Today” – Yoav Lemor: Hezbollah will not be militarily destroyed, just as Hamas was not militarily destroyed and Iran will not be militarily destroyed. Anyone who promises this is a liar or a charlatan.

Trump’s visit to China limited by Beijing — SCMP

US President Donald Trump will only visit Beijing during his visit to China from March 31 to April 2. A trip to other cities, including previously discussed Shanghai, will not take place, South China Morning Post reported, citing sources.

The decision is due to the US leader’s busy schedule and heightened security measures amid the escalating situation in the Middle East. They also note that Trump will have a chance to visit Shenzhen (Guangdong Province) during the APEC summit in November.

The sources claim that US officials arrived in the Chinese capital for preparations in early March, and the organization of the visit has entered the final stage.

The current US president will visit China for the first time since 2017, when Trump also only visited Beijing.

The UN Security Council adopts a resolution condemning Iran’s attacks on Gulf countries and Jordan, and considers them a violation of the law and a threat to international peace.

The UN Security Council condemns the attacks by Iran on residential areas and civilian infrastructure in the Gulf and Jordan, and the casualties and damage they have caused.

The Security Council adopts a Gulf-Jordanian draft resolution on Iranian attacks with a majority of 13 votes, while Russia and China abstained.

The adopted document does not mention or condemn the actions of the USA and Israel.

It is worse now than a bad security council or a UN that has lost its way.  It is now individual countries that are disappointing the world.  The voting members today:  The Council is composed of 15 Members:

Cargo Ships in the Straight of Hormuz do not move, and if they do, the ending for them is drone, seize and detain, but no transit. A commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy commented saying vessels that want to cross the Strait of Hormuz must coordinate with Iran. He noted that the ships Express Rome and Mayuree Naree ignored warnings and relied on what he described as empty guarantees before attempting to transit the strait.  Iran twists the knife:  IRGC Navy Commander:

We will wait for serious economists to unravel the economic mess.  In the meantime, CNBC reports:   The International Energy Agency’s 32 member states agreed to release 400 million barrels of oil from emergency reserves to offset supply disruptions caused by the US/Israeli war on Iran.  It marks the largest coordinated release of strategic oil stockpiles in the IEA’s history.

There are countries in serious trouble.  Bear in mind this is not only oil, but a vast array of commodities.

Thailand orders bureaucrats to use stairs and work from home in energy saving drive.  Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has ordered civil servants to conserve energy amid an energy squeeze brought on by the conflict ​in the Middle East, a government spokesperson said, ‌with measures including suspending overseas trips and using stairs instead of elevators.  “The prime minister ordered that starting from today civil servants will work from home,” spokesperson Lalida ​Periswiwatana told reporters, adding that exceptions would be made for officials ​who must serve the public.  Southeast Asia’s second-largest economy has around 95 ⁠days of energy reserves left, and it has been seeking additional sources ​of liquefied natural gas from the United States, Australia and South Africa.

Japan not ruling out option of releasing oil reserve on its own.  The Japanese government “is not ruling out” the option of releasing its national oil reserves unilaterally rather than as part of a coordinated move, industry minister Ryosei Akazawa said, as the US-Israeli war with Iran spurs concerns about supplies to the resource-scarce Asian country.  Japan has also expressed support for a possible coordinated release of oil reserves by members of the International Energy Agency to slow down the rise in crude oil prices.  As of the end of December, Japan had oil reserves totaling 254 days of domestic consumption, of which 146 days’ worth were government-owned, 101 days held by the private sector, and the remainder jointly stored with oil-producing countries.

I don’t think they have any realistic endgame in mind, because we are seeing some sort of chaos in their sayings and in their actions. They have just started to attack us blindly.

Today, they attacked residential areas, they attacked hospitals, they attacked schools, and they entered into attacking our infrastructure, which is a very dangerous move.

And as a result, you can see the oil prices everywhere in the world.

I don’t see any reasonable goal that they are following. They failed to achieve their goals at the beginning, and now after 10 days, I think they are aimless.

Future event:  Trump and Bibi are going to blame one another for the failure of the war.

The US Senate rejected a resolution demanding that the US administration be prohibited from using military force against Iran without congressional permission, according to the voting broadcast by C-SPAN.

During the procedural vote, 47 senators voted in favor of the document, while 52 voted against it. ▪️The US decided to start not a war, but a “large-scale military operation” (LSMO), according to a press release from the White House.
▪️It’s obvious to the naked eye that Trump is once again copying Putin.
▪️The White House also named the goals of the operation:
— Demilitarization of Iran;
— Protection of the US from threats from Iran, including in the future;
— Elimination of the terrorist regime of the ayatollahs;
— Guarantees that Iran will not have nuclear weapons.

This is all paper thin because Russia, sometimes to our frustration, did all the legal homework.  Trump of course has not done any of it.  Calling a thing so, does not make it so.  (And stealing the Russian text shows the level of desperation but more than that, the level of idiocy).

— Demilitarization of Iran;  (Iran did not threaten the US with a military attack.  In Russia’s case, the Ukraine had been fighting against Russians for years .)
— Protection of the US from threats from Iran, including in the future;  (There is no threat, so Trump is trying to get out of the fact that he is making war without approval as the US consitution call for.  This is so lame — Protect me from Iran calling me names!)
— Elimination of the terrorist regime of the ayatollahs;  (Where is the terrorism?  Who did Iran do terrorism against?  What did those Ayatollahs actually do?)
— Guarantees that Iran will not have nuclear weapons.  (The US already have that guarantee and moreover, it has proven out to be so over years).

These are children with nuclear codes.  This level of idiocy should scare everyone.
