We are doing quite a sensitive site update and our absolute jewel tech tells me that we might go down for a while. But our jewel has promised he will do his best to remain up. It is a must-do update and then we move into a few changes on the home page and on the site design. It is time.

This makes me think of the major pushback when Russian Prof Karaganov, as well as others, wrote articles on how Russia must use its nuclear deterrent as a deterrent, i.e., talk about it, write about it, make sure that it is not forgotten.ย  Rage deployment of nuclear weapons based on Medvedev’s sharp and accurate trolling tells us we’re working with the idiots.

Old news from yesterday:ย  Our commenting system was down.
Thank you for the patience.ย  ย It was not an error, it was the server that closed down the commenting to protect itself and us.ย  More I cannot say.ย  ย  On top of this we had a 24 hour power interruption and my day only starts now. Love, Amarynthย ย

Tariffs Mexico:ย  ย Trump extends Mexicoโ€™s 25% tariffs for 90 days as talks continue.ย ย President Donald Trump on Thursday said he would not raise U.S. tariffs on Mexican goods beyond their current levels for 90 days, in order to give the neighboring countries time to strike a trade deal.

Trump recently threatened to raise the blanket tariff rate on Mexican imports to 30%, up from the 25% duty he had previously imposed to address alleged cross-border crime and drug trafficking.ย ย But Trump said Thursday morning that he would postpone any tariff changes, as a result of his โ€œvery successfulโ€ call with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

I wonder why it is still presented as if the exporting country is paying for it?ย  The US pays but we all know,if the cost is too high, people won’t buy.

Burkina Faso to receive a mobile microbiology lab from Russia by December โ€” capable of 800 daily tests.ย ย Local teams will be trained on-site, boosting public health capacity.ย ย The move follows high-level talks between Presidents Traorรฉ and Putin, signaling deepening health & energy ties.

Traorรฉ style!ย ย Burkina Fasoโ€™s Captain Ibrahim Traorรฉ greets Russiaโ€™s delegation with his signature high five โ€” all smiles as diplomacy meets swagger.ย ย https://t.me/rtnews/104853

It is good to hear good news from the Sahel States:

On July 28, Russia and Niger signed a memorandum in Niamey to expand cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.ย ย The agreement includes plans for training specialists, sharing technologies, and exploring potential infrastructure projects. It was signed during an official visit by the Russian delegation led by Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev.

The Sahel states are still at war against Muslim extremists.ย  Development, though, continues.ย  Nico posted a video on what is happening in Burkina Faso:ย  https://sovereignista.com/globalsouthforum/topic/africa-v/#post-62337

South Africa though, does not look good.ย  They were fully warned but did nothing and now want to cry “We don’t understand”:ย  ย Trade Talks Deadlocked as South Africa Clashes with U.S.

Trade relations between South Africa and the U.S. are at a breaking point. According to Trade Minister Ebrahim Patel, negotiations have stalled despite Pretoriaโ€™s efforts. โ€œWeโ€™ve done everything to avoid a trade war. Now we need clear answers,โ€ he stated.

New U.S. tariffs โ€” 30% on South African goods and 25% on autos and parts โ€” threaten key industries like citrus exports and vehicle manufacturing. Thousands of jobs are at risk.ย ย While gold and platinum remain exempt, South Africa argues this is not enough. In response, it offered major concessions: increased U.S. LNG imports, agricultural market access, and $3.3 billion in South African investments in U.S. mining and metallurgy.

Geopolitical frictions and internal challenges continue to hinder progress. The AGOA trade benefits remain in place until end-2025, but renewal is uncertain. Meanwhile, South Africa is pivoting (trying to pivot) to new partners in Asia, Europe, and Africa. A proposed trade framework sent in May still awaits a reply from Washington.ย  Of course they did not respond to the two requirements from Washington.ย  One was to get rid of the racism laws, and the other to get rid of the new law that allows for any good and any land to be expropriated without compensation.ย  There is no inward investment with these laws on the books.

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

Unfortunately today we have to refer to Trump. His Truth Social post and Medvedev’s post tells the main story:

Medvedev’s comment re the fabled ‘Dead Hand”

Tariffs are failing.ย  Trump is failing.ย  He should have been in Israel yesterday because he needed to beat his head against the Wailing Wall.ย  What more do we need to say?ย  Yet, some US Americans discuss that locally on the ground, he is doing well.ย  I don’t understand this, as the Big Beautiful Bill is going to affect social payments seriously.

On August 1, most of the world will be tariffed.ย  The 10 percenters could not care as they don’t pay for this.ย  Trump blinked on Brazil in the tiff with Lula. After talking smack against him and the nation of Brazil, Trump turned around and gave tariff exemptions to Brazilian airplane parts, orange juice, and oil. Basically, most of Brazilian exports to the USA.

What will Mexico do?ย  Tariffs are set at points that will upend trade.ย  ย I suggest up North in the Big Babylon, you buy a case or two of tomatoes and freeze them if tomatoes are important in your life.ย  (They are in my life ๐Ÿ™‚

China is going down a perfect diplomatic path:

Chinese FM Wang Yi, during the meeting with a delegation from the US-China Business Council.

China is willing to enhance communication with the US, avoid misjudgments, manage differences, explore cooperation, and implement the consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Trump, to promote the stable, sound, and sustainable development of China-US relations.

Both sides should respect each otherโ€™s core and major interests and avoid escalating confrontation and conflict. It is important to uphold the principles of mutual respect, equality, and reciprocity, refrain from unilateral hegemony, and do more meaningful, practical, and beneficial things that serve the interests of both countries and the world.

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

Talking about the perfect diplomatic path, Mr Lavrov’s meeting with Syria followed such a perfect diplomatic path.

Statements by Sergey Lavrov at the meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister:

โ–ช๏ธThe Syrian delegation has planned “several rounds of negotiations at various levels in Moscow”;

โ–ช๏ธRussia and Syria have agreed to conduct an inventory of all existing agreements;

โ–ช๏ธMoscow is grateful to Damascus for ensuring the security of Russian facilities in Syria;

โ–ช๏ธDamascus is a good friend to Moscow, Russia is ready to assist Syria in post-conflict reconstruction;

โ–ช๏ธIt is necessary to cancel sanctions against Syria once and for all, as they harm the people of the country;

โ–ช๏ธSyria will expedite the appointment of a co-chair in the bilateral commission with Russia on trade and economic cooperation;

โ–ช๏ธRussia expects that the acting president of Syria will participate in the first Russian-Arab summit in October.

Russia continues with its attrition:

Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a group strike by long-range precision weaponry and attack unmanned aerial vehicles at Ukrainian defence industry enterprises, infrastructure of a military airfield, one ammunition depot, one missile weaponry depot, and one UAV components depot.

โœ… The goal of the strike was achieved, all the assigned objects were engaged.

Russia took the city of Chasov Yar in the DPR, the Defense Ministry reported. Smoothie says: Chasov Yar is of great operational and strategic importance. It is a commanding height that opens the way to the largest agglomeration in the DPR that remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces โ€” Slavyansko-Kramatorsk, as well as to Konstantinovka. In turn, the liberation of Konstantinovka will cut off the route to Ugledar, along which supplies have been supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces group that has been defending there for many months. It will also be possible to outflank this group and encircle the city. As you may have guessed now, the next cities which will “lose strategic significance” after Chasov Yar and Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) for 404 are Konstantinovka and Kramatorsk.

In Pokrovsk, Russian assault groups continue to infiltrate the city and occupy new streets, causing chaos and disorganizing the defenders. At the same time, Mirnograd and Pokrovsk continue to be encircled from the north, where Ukrainian father-commanders are setting up new “meat shields” near Rodinskoe under FAB with UMPC. How long they will hold out remains to be seen.

Key statements of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov:

๐Ÿ”นAll warning systems worked in timely manner during the earthquake in Russiaโ€™s Kamchatka, the seismic resistance of buildings proved itself;

๐Ÿ”นThe Kremlin records new statements by US leader Donald Trump regarding the settlement of the situation in Ukraine and possible restrictions;

๐Ÿ”นRussia has developed immunity to sanctions, and its economy has been functioning for quite a long time under a huge number of restrictions;

๐Ÿ”นMaintaining a dialogue between Russia and the US on space is extremely important, but its impact on the entire complex of relations should not be exaggerated;

๐Ÿ”นSpace cooperation between Russia and the US โ€œstands apart,โ€ this is a positive factor;

๐Ÿ”นMoldovans’ electoral rights should be ensured wherever they are, but now it is not seen;

๐Ÿ”นPresident Sanduโ€™s statements about Russia’s alleged plans to interfere in Moldova’s parliamentary elections are not true;

๐Ÿ”นMoscow states that Moldovans’ electoral rights are being violated, no matter what Chisinau says;

๐Ÿ”นRussia does not interfere in internal affairs of other countries, including of Moldova;

I’m not kidding.ย  This is real:

So far in 2025, under President Trump’s leadership in his second term, the United States has bombed four countries, sent troops to Panama for military exercises, threatened military action to seize Greenland, and supplied Israel and Ukraine with various weapons.

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

On a lighter note:ย  Lavrov

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

Medvedev about Trump’s further threats.ย  I do not understand and feel that either Trump is dumb and does not realize what he is saying, or he is deliberately provocative.ย  Anyone who has been involved in international relations for even a short time understands what rhetoric like this means.ย  Now Medvedev has said it:

And let us repeat from Pepe’s article this morning:ย  ย The Chinese Foreign Ministry, unfailingly polite, has at least summarized the pulse of the Global South: โ€œThe United States has lost its legitimacy to lead the world in the eyes of nations. It is no longer morally qualified to speak of values or peace while supporting genocide in Gaza.โ€

The Asian press is increasingly writing that the conflict that broke out between Thailand and Cambodia is an attempt by collective forces to interfere with the Chinese “Belt and Road”.

The Pan-Asian railway with a length of more than 6,000 km should transform Southeast Asia. Next year, a line was expected to be implemented in Cambodia, linking Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City with Bangkok and eventually with China. Previously, the Chinese railway in Myanmar was frozen. Also because of conflict.

It is also noted that Cambodia is an ally of China, and Thailand is a partner of the United States under an agreement with joint military exercises and arms contracts.ย  ย By the way, there is a PLA base in Cambodia.

We may even conclude that the India – Pakistan short war was an exercise.ย  Early conclusion is that these skirmishes. Cambodia – Thailand are the first visible actions against the regions and actions of the Global South, such as the Belt and Road, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Eurasian Economic Union, African Union, ASEAN, League of Arab States, CELAC, and others.

Yesterday it was reported that US has ‘feet on the ground’.

Dmitry Medvedev: Trump Wipes the Floor with Europe

Say what you will about Trump โ€” for all his contradictions and bombastic statements, heโ€™s remarkably consistent in one thing: ruthlessly pushing Americaโ€™s economic interests.

This latest โ€œdealโ€ with the European Union?

Itโ€™s utterly humiliating for the Europeans โ€” the only winner here is the U.S. It strips away protective tariffs and opens the European market to American goods on American terms.

It slaps massive additional costs on EU industries and farmers, who now have to pay for overpriced American energy.

It redirects a flood of European investments straight into the U.S. economy.

And, of course, the deal comes with the mandatory anti-Russian clause: no buying Russian oil or gas. For Trump, itโ€™s just business. For Europeโ€™s senile leadership โ€” itโ€™s a neo-Nazi ideology dressed up as policy, one thatโ€™s driving their own citizens into poverty.

Ordinary Europeans deserve sympathy. At this point, theyโ€™d be justified in storming Brussels and hoisting every last Eurocrat โ€” especially mad granny Ursula โ€” up their national flagpoles.
It wonโ€™t fix anything.
But hey โ€” at least itโ€™d be entertaining.

Jul 27

What Trump just did to Ursula van der Leyden and the EU is brutal. (Is it bad to watch with delight when the empire destroy one another?).

1. EU goods imported into the US will be subject to a 15% tariff (with some exceptions)
2. The EU will commit to purchasing US energy resources worth \$750 billion.
3. The EU will commit to investing \$600 billion in the US economy.
4. The EU will commit to increasing its purchases of US weapons.

The White House statement boldly claimed the deal โ€œclarifies the rules of the gameโ€ for European companiesโ€”an implicit message that the EU must now operate under American-defined trade terms.

Malaysian FM confirms that Thailand, Cambodia will meet in Malaysia on Wednesday and both parties prefer no US mediation.ย ย ‘Iโ€™m awaiting a call from Rubio, as they want to know how to assist’ โ€” Malaysian FM Mohamed Hasan.ย ย ‘But Malaysia should mediate first โ€” this is an ASEAN matter, and as chair, we should lead’.

I’ve seen confirmation from Thailand.

Aid convoys have started entering Gaza via Rafah crossing.ย  ย Dozens of Egyptian & UAF aid trucks have entered so far.ย  As far as can be determined, it is administered by the Red Cross/Crescent and UNRWA.

The Israeli army announced โ€œtactical pausesโ€ in fighting for โ€œhumanitarian purposesโ€ from 10am to 8pm in only three areas of the Gaza Strip including Al-Mawasi, Deir Al-Balah and Gaza City, starting on Sunday.

The decision was coordinated with the UN and international organizations following discussions on the matter, the Israeli army said. Simultaneously, Israeli forces killed at least 15 Palestinians in separate attacks on Gaza since the early hours of Sunday, a day after killing at least 71 people, including 42 aid seekers, as five more Palestinians starved to death.

Hamas made a press statement:

The urgent arrival of food, medicine, and the flow of humanitarian aid to our people in the Gaza Strip is a natural right to stop the humanitarian disaster imposed by the Nazi occupation.

We affirm that the only way to end the brutal starvation crime in the Gaza Strip is to stop the aggression, break the criminal siege imposed on it, fully and permanently open the land crossings for humanitarian aid, and ensure its flow and delivery to the citizens according to the mechanisms adopted by the United Nations.ย  https://t.me/TPOnow/23420

Anger is being expressed in the Israeli press, while the propaganda that there is no starvation in Gaza and Hamas confiscates the aid continues.

Taiwan may be slowly emerging from its quagmire. The first round of Taiwan’s so-called โ€œmass recallโ€ campaign aimed at suppressing opposition forces was held on July 26, and the results have now been determined: all 24 Kuomintang (KMT) โ€œlegislatorsโ€ targeted for recall retained their seats, while Lai Ching-te suffered a crushing and utter defeat. KMT โ€œlegislatorโ€ Wang Hung-wei stated that this was โ€œthe people’s choice.โ€ The 24-0 outcome reflects how Taiwan compatriots, through mainstream public opinion, delivered a resounding slap to Lai, whose โ€œconfront the mainland and seek Taiwan independenceโ€ agenda has been overwhelmingly rejected by the island’s mainstream public opinion.

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

Thai-Cambodian fighting for the third day reads like a replay from India-Pakistan.ย  Cambodia has now requested a ceasefire and closed its airspace near the Thai border.

On July 26, clashes erupted in a new flashpoint more than 60 miles (100 km) from earlier conflict zones.

Cambodian forces launched attacks in a new area near the coast in the south but were pushed back, Thailand’s military said.

Thailand also reported fighting in its Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, and Srisaket provinces, along the border with Cambodia.

19 people – 13 civilians and six soldiers – have been killed in Thailand since clashes started on July 24, according to Thai officials.

Cambodia’s defense ministry reported 13 Cambodians killed โ€“ eight civilians and five soldiers.

Thailand’s ambassador to the UN, Cherdchai Chaivaivid, urged Cambodia to โ€œimmediately cease all hostilities and acts of aggression and resume dialogue in good faith.โ€

Cambodia’s defense ministry accused Thailand of mobilizing more troops and military equipment on the border.

-Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel says his country is open to recognizing the State of Palestine, after France announced that it will recognize Palestine in the coming months.

-221 MPs from nine British parties signed a letter urging the Foreign Secretary to recognize the State of Palestine at a UN conference next week in New York.

This sounds very good and is happening all over Europe, but in reality these announcements are still buying time for the zionist entity. The style is: make an announcement and sit back, hoping that one’s own support for genocide is whitewashed. The ones that cut all trade relationships, boycott, divest and sanction are the only ones that make a material difference.

There is much whitewashing going on as we see the state of siege and starving people to death reaching a level that very few can tolerate.ย  At last, souls and hearts are being touched as it cannot be otherwise.ย  Burning people alive in tents was not the human tipping point.ย  Bombing and droning 2 million did not do it.ย  Siege and starvation are the last dominoes.ย  Siege and starvation are not acceptable for most humans.ย  This is a state that the Palestinians probably cannot return from, as the whole of Gaza is starving.

Egypt is trying to whitewash itself, but it is Egypt that refuses and stops aid trucks from storming the crossing.ย  They also halted a freedom march from all over the world that was attempting to reach the crossing.ย  The aid does not belong to them, and the assistance does not belong to Israel.ย  It is aid that is donated by the world community and must reach the Gazans.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry: We have never closed the Rafah crossing at all. The crossing was taken over by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Palestinian side, and they are the ones responsible for closing it and preventing aid from entering Gaza.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has to deal with his own businessmen and parts of his government to carry out his instructions: โ€˜Not a single tonโ€™: Colombiaโ€™s president orders halt to coal shipments to Israel.

South Koreaโ€™s new Unification Minister, Chung Dong-young, said restoring dialogue with North Korea is a top priority, calling the six-year communication freeze โ€œtoo long,โ€ the Yonhap news agency reports.

He has acknowledged recent halts in military propaganda as a first step toward trust, but stressed that resuming talks is urgent. While responding to speculation about a North Korea-US summit at APEC, the minister has called the timeline tight and emphasized dialogue over summits.

Russian MoD:ย

From 19 to 25 July, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out ten group strikes, including three with high-precision air-, ground-, sea-based, air-ballistic Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, and attack drones, to hit the following targets: Ukrainian defence industry enterprises, military airfields, UAV assembly and storage areas, fuel, missile and artillery weapons and ammunition depots, territorial centres of recruitment of the AFU, temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed groups, nationalists, and foreign mercenaries.

๐ŸŽฏ In addition, four Patriot anti-aircraft missile launchers and one U.S.-made AN/MPQ-65 multi-role radar have been neutralised during the week.

We know now what to do to get LULA activated.ย  Threaten Tariffs and he has not been quiet on anything yet! That’s our LULA but he needed a kick. (Do you think that we can now accept Venezuela in BRICS Mr Lula? It is high time.)

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

EU and China did not resolve a single problematic issue at the summit in Beijing

โ–ช๏ธRelations between the EU and China are becoming increasingly cold. So much so that China shortened the program of the summit with the Europeans in Beijing from two days to one, which was received with relief in Brussels.

โ–ช๏ธPresident of the European Council Antรณnio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen arrived for the meeting with Xi Jinping. Despite the protocol smiles, it was obvious that the parties were in a state of conflict. Europe tried in vain to convince China to use its influence to end the conflict in Ukraine, with copious references to the ‘rules based order’.

โ–ช๏ธRecently, Beijing has not even hidden its position: peace is not in China’s interests, since the conflict in Ukraine distracts US President Donald Trump from the Pacific region. (Note, this is the latest propaganda).

โ–ช๏ธThere are other โ€œelephants in the roomโ€ in EU-China relations: increased competition from the Chinese auto industry, opaque export controls on rare earth metals, threats against Taiwan, and human rights violations against the Uyghurs. (Note: Von Der Leyen tried her best to throw the kitchen sink at China with old debunked memes.)

โ–ช๏ธUrsula von der Leyen tried to start by complimenting Chinaโ€™s technological development, but then stated: โ€œWe have reached a turning point,โ€ โ€œA reorientation of our bilateral relations is necessary.โ€ This turning point is the EUโ€™s record-high trade deficit, which reached 305.8 billion euros last year.

โ–ช๏ธIn response, Xi Jinping gave a speech without specifics, as specifics would have been wasted on the tone-deaf. โ€œEuropeโ€™s current challenges do not come from China.โ€

โ–ช๏ธThe only consensus reached at the meeting was the commitment not to retreat from the Paris Agreement on climate change.

The video is not very good but you will immediately see the tension if you have an interest. It can easily be skipped at this stage. Best to skip all the screen prompts and take a look at Xi Jinping’s address, Van der Leyden’s address and the President of the European Council Antรณnio Costa. My best piece was when Van der Leyden’s challenged China to change the ‘relationship’.

Plenary sessions of the G20 Development Ministerial Conference have opened in Skukuza (G20 SouthAfrica).

A Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin, is participating in the event.

The conference agenda includes discussions on illicit financial flows, social protection, and the implementation of the SDGs, including in the context of reforming global institutions, development financing, and strengthening multilateral cooperation.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russia will deliver statements on all thematic discussion points.

Source: Marat Berdyev, Ambassador-at-Large, Russian Foreign Ministry

Note: This will be an interesting G20 compared to the last one, where BRICS amazingly took the lead.ย  ย We will see if that trend continues.

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

Some Egyptians half-filled plastic bottles with rice and tossed them into the ocean, hoping they would float to Gaza. It was NOT appreciated and immediately amplified across the region:

From Marwa Osman: “Take your plastic bottles stuffed with rice and shove them where the sun never shines you shameless spineless rats.
Gaza doesnโ€™t need your theatrics. If you truly wanted to break the siege, youโ€™d open the Rafah border. But no, better to stage a photo op than to show an ounce of courage or conscience.
Tfeh.”

๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿ”น

The Gaza weaponized peace talks fell apart again, or did not. My congratulations to Hamas for persevering in a civilized manner while those on the other side of the negotiating table behave atrociously, like the barbarians they are.

Trump spoke to the press before his departure to Scotland and he says Hamas does not want to negotiate and the killings on Gazan’s will continue. Of course, everyone calls this ‘Hamas’ to hide the reality of their massacre. Here is the gaslighting little clip: https://t.me/rtnews/104209. There is more but let’s end with this one: Trump: It doesn’t matter what Macron says. There won’t be a Palestinian state (in the near future).

Mamood has a 20-minute overview that is accurate, but what is interesting โ€” and we’ve seen glimpses of this โ€”is that the Yemenis seem to be preparing for boots on the ground. Mamood also refers to the massive propaganda campaign that ‘Gaza is not starving’, and if we think there is starvation in Gaza, we’re just mistaken. Don’t believe your lying eyes.ย  “Hamas steals the aid provisions”.ย  ย The principled speech from Abu Obeida to Arab-Muslim Leaders and Peoples needs to be read and understood. The founding of Hamas initially led to a perception, especially among Western supporters of Global South issues, of untrustworthiness. As issues change, this has changed, and we’re dealing with a different Hamas that is no longer enthralled and controlled in Zionist hands.

As such, we are now getting reports of ongoing and daily security incidents in southern Gaza.ย  (That is zionist code for:ย  They killed our soldiers).ย  The Hamas fighters have new techniques, and an unmatched bravery.ย  Ambushes of IDF soldiers are now multifold, where IDF rescue forces do not get away as is customary.
