Daily Chronicles

The Daily Chronicles are snippets of the most important news across the world (and a joke or two) for this and each day as it rolls in – as such, this thread is non-structured with the latest news on top.

Please note, our site is being hammered very hard, from a different vector today than the two that we closed down in the previous two days.  Patience, we usually get through this within two hours or so. Update, it took a little longer but we are stronger.

Maria Zakharova:  “French police unions Alliance Police Nationale and Unsa Police: “In the face of these wild hordes, it is no longer enough to ask for calm, we must seek it by force. Our colleagues, like most citizens, are fed up with suffering under the dictates of these aggressive minorities.”

That’s all. Imaginary tolerance is crumbling before our eyes. Liberalism demonstrates contradictions incompatible with life. The French Foreign Ministry is simply obliged to take all its past memes addressed to Russia, China, Iran and read to itself. Bon chance!

Jul 2 – One may think that the Global Majority is getting very serious!

The Center for Geostrategic Studies, on the initiative of our colleague from Austria Patrick Popel, is preparing to celebrate the First International Day of Independence from the influence of the United States of America.

From the Russian MoD:  The AFU continued to attempt offensive actions in Donetsk, Krasny Liman and South Donetsk directions.  https://t.me/mod_russia_en/8191

I count the bill somewhat well North of 600+.  Ukraine has been told to produce something, some success, before the NATO Vilnius meeting in a little more than a week.  So, we can expect more and more food for the meat grinder and most probably less and less success.  It is also again prime false flag territory.

I find it greatly satisfactory that Iran told Macron to “end the violent treatment of its population”.  Of course there are a number of advisory columns for Macron in the internet space.  The other one that I enjoy, is the advice to Macron to stop the violence and immediately sit down for peace negotiations and a peace treaty.  So the worm turns, even if only tongue-in-cheek.

The other one is this!   Russians are trolling back the French:  Russian Senator Fears For Safety Of French Nuclear Arsenal Amid Riots.  The ongoing violence on the streets of French cities gives grounds for concern over the safety of the country’s nuclear arsenal, Russian senator Andrey Klishas suggested.

Arnaud Bertrand is usually reliable in reporting.

Wow!  Those Chinese.  They don’t usually publically express their loss of patience.  From the bullhorn, Global Times

“China’s military power is primarily used for strategic deterrence against the US, making it so that although the US has military advantages, it dares not resort to military blackmail against China. In addition, our military power is used to defend core interests, especially when it comes to the resolution of the Taiwan question, we must have the final say. We adopt a defensive military strategy, but in the Taiwan Straits region, we have gradually formed a local absolute military advantage. We will not engage in military confrontation with the US in regions far away from China’s core interests. However, if the US military comes to China’s nearby waters, especially if it intervenes militarily in the Taiwan Straits and assists the “Taiwanese military” in a possible future Taiwan Straits war, the People’s Liberation Army will not hesitate to “beat the crap out of” those US troops. We will always make our determination clear to the US.”

Max Blumenthal addressing the UN Security Council:

Jun 30

By Dmitry Medvedev

In recent days, I have been reading with interest the news from the capitals of the rotting Anglo-Saxon world. The fact that they are supposedly watching the events in our country and will discuss them with some partners. Some figures even spoke about the cracks that appeared on the facade of Russia.

It looks like they forgot, damn observers, that just recently we were admiring the collapse of the entire US political machine and the capture of the Capitol.

And now we are watching with interest who and how the long-suffering American people will choose – a shuffling old man with acute dementia or a young overage playboy with the habits of a provincial dictator.

With no less interest, we are also watching the events in France, the pandemonium, and riots in the streets. And, of course, we will also discuss them with our partners.
Especially in the context of many years of “successful” migration policy of the once enlightened Europe. Who are these people, and why are they?

In general, there is no one to look at. And even more so there is no one to do business with. How is it with the great St. Petersburg writer Nikolai Gogol: “There is only one decent person there: the prosecutor; and even that one, to tell the truth, is a pig.” However, if you recall another quote from Nikolai Vasilyevich, it becomes completely sad: “I don’t see anything. I see some pig snouts instead of faces, but nothing else.

A curtain.

Get your countries to remove themselves from the IMF.  It is our moment!

WASHINGTON, June 29 (Reuters) – The International Monetary Fund’s executive board on Thursday completed its first review of Ukraine’s $15.6 billion loan program, allowing Kyiv to immediately withdraw $890 million for budget support as it mounts a major offensive against Russia’s invasion.

The board’s approval brings Ukraine’s withdrawals under the program launched on March 31 to around $3.6 billion so far.

The IMF said Ukrainian authorities have made “strong progress” toward meeting reform commitments under “challenging conditions,” meeting quantitative performance criteria through April and structural benchmarks through June.

Pope Envoy’s Moscow Visit Gave No Concrete Results – Peskov

There are no specific agreements following the meeting between Putin’s foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov and the Pope’s envoy, and the dialogue can continue if necessary, Kremlin spokesperon Dmitry Peskov said.  Ushakov and the special envoy exchanged views on humanitarian issues in the context of the situation in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of yesterday’s powerful missile attack on Kramatorsk, the stationing point of the commanders of the 56th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.

Pro-Ukraine commentators stated that it was a restaurant and not a military base, totally ignoring:  9 years of artillery and missile strikes on Donbass.  Guided artillery strike on restaurant where Rogozin was wounded in December 2022 and others killed.

UPDATE:  The Ministry of Defense of Russia has provided updated information stating that the strike on the temporary deployment point of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kramatorsk on June 27 resulted in the destruction of two generals who were present at the meeting, up to 50 officers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, up to 20 foreign mercenaries, and military advisors

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation

▫️ Russian Aerospace Forces have carried out high-precision strikes on oil refinery and fuel storage facilities that support the AFU troops in Donbas. All the assigned targets have been neutralised. The goal of the attack has been reached.

▫️ The AFU continued unsuccessful attempts at offensive actions in South Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions.

KIA numbers are being reported in the 100’s and 300’s.

As a reminder, I draw your attention to one of Larchmonter445’s comments:

A thousand km front, defense in depth, will decide the fate of the world, not just Russia and Europe.

I think most folks do not understand what the SMO has to achieve. The non-nuclear, kinetic destruction of the West, the Hegemon, the Dollar and Russophobic nazism and Liberal fascism.

The Ukies and NATO seem up for their part in the war. They will continue to finance Kiev, supply more weapons and ammunition, dragoon more cannon fodder and die at the front or where Surovikin sees that dying is what they must do.

Russians mostly understand this for their own civilization!  What they are short in understanding, is how we, the RoW, deeply depend on, and hope for their success!   We need a new conversation.

The West is not helpless and are hitting back.  Take a look at the sanctions machine.

Sanctions – Building a machine

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Russian Mission to the EU Kirill Logvinov Answers a Question by TASS News Agency regarding New EU Anti-Russian Sanctions

🔹With the adoption of the 11th sanctions “package”, the economic war unleashed by the European Union and its Member States against Russia has, as expected, reached a whole new level.

🔹Having developed a so-called “sanctions anti-circumvention tool”, Brussels now intends to drag the widest possible part of the world into its war. This marks a shift from a failed blitzkrieg, aimed at inflicting irreparable damage on Russia, to a multi-pronged game with a view to imposing a kind of economic blockade against our country. Hardly anyone expects Brussels to make every diplomatic effort to persuade third countries to comply with the sanctions regime within the “tool” announced.

🔹The EU has traditionally favoured blackmail and coercion. As the EU remains the largest economic partner, investor and financial donor for many countries, Brussels certainly still has plenty of leverage. Therefore, the EU’s “fight against sanctions circumvention” promises to be protracted and uncompromising.

From Vanessa Beely

The Syrian armed forces together with the Russian Air Force destroyed multiple headquarters, ammunition depots and drone launching sites used by extremist groups in Idlib countryside.

According to the Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, sixty five militants were eliminated, and four command posts as well as multiple warehouses with weapons were destroyed.

Gurinov also revealed that eight shelling attacks had been detected in the provinces of Idlib and Latakia a day prior.

‘US-led so-called international anti-terrorist coalition continues to violate deconfliction protocols in a systematic and premeditated manner. In the past 24 hours, seven incidents related to the coalition’s unmanned aerial vehicles have been recorded,’ he said.  https://t.me/VanessaBeeley/15694
