Forwarded from Older than the Edda:
“The IDF strategy in the Gaza Strip at the moment almost completely copies the actions of the 6th Army of the Wehrmacht in the first phase of the Battle of Stalingrad. On August 23, 1942, German aircraft practically wiped out Stalingrad from the face of the earth, and Paulus hoped that the completely destroyed city and tank and motorized infantry units of the German army would occupy it without any problems. We know what happened next from history books and stories from veterans.”

How the Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip is going: analysis of the Military Chronicle :
The activity of hostilities is gradually increasing, but there is no talk of street fighting yet.

Where are the Israeli troops now?
The bulk of the Israeli infantry and armored forces advanced only 1.5-2 km from the Erez checkpoint and were concentrated approximately 1.5 km from the eastern areas of Beit Lahiya and Atatra in the Gaza Strip. There is no active advance deep into the Palestinian areas at the moment: tanks and other armored vehicles are focused on suppressing Hamas firing points, from where the Palestinians are trying to attack Israeli tanks with anti-tank systems. The Israeli army has not yet suffered serious losses; this can mainly be achieved by refusing to use secondary roads. Merkava Mk.4 tanks and other equipment operate according to the American combat scenario – as soon as a convoy with equipment comes under fire, attack drones or F-16 fighters arrive at the site. While air supremacy has allowed the Israeli army to slowly advance, IDF commanders are clearly cautious, avoiding winding roads where ambushes may occur. The first problems with ambushes have already begun: an Israeli army raid in the Al-Maghazi area using light vehicles failed due to an ambush set up by Palestinians. The light equipment was partially destroyed, after which the Palestinians reported several Israeli prisoners. The IDF’s attempted amphibious landing on the beach near the city of Rafah also ended in failure. After landing, Israeli special forces were ambushed and were hastily evacuated.

    How does Hamas operate?
There are no major changes in Palestinian tactics: mobile groups with anti-tank systems move around the heights of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, using underground tunnels and passages dug into the folds of the terrain to quickly deploy anti-tank systems and leave the position after firing. The most intense fighting is recorded in the area of Al-Auda, a commanding height near the city of Beit Hanoun. Apparently, Hamas forces are trying to prevent the advance of the Israeli army along the Nur ad-Din al-Zenki highway. If the IDF launches a massive offensive along this road, troops will be able to traverse the entire Gaza Strip from north to south, as a direct 50 km long route extends from Beit Hanoun to the strip’s former airport complex. In addition to Beit Hanoun, much of the Palestinian (and by extension IDF) activity also centers around the city of Jebaliya, under which underground tunnels may previously have been installed with exits in close proximity to the separation barrier between the Gaza Strip and Israel. On the afternoon of October 28, the Palestinian Al-Qassam Brigades said they fired rockets at the Israeli Zikim military base, 4 km north of the Gaza Strip. From a military and tactical point of view, the value of the strike is practically zero, but until recently there were Israeli reserves there, the status of which is currently unknown.

How do neighboring countries and groups react?
Gradually, the Lebanese Hezbollah begins to become involved in the fighting between Israel and Hamas. In addition to destroying Israeli tanks with anti-tank systems, the group is gradually using rockets and ballistic missiles. At the same time, the Yemeni Houthis began probing air defense forces of US ships in the Red Sea. The rebels are actively using Quds missiles, as well as Samad-3 UAVs. While their number is critically small for carrying out massive strikes, however, apparently, the Yemeni security forces are just feeling out the optimal route for their use.

THE GODS ARE GOING AGAINST THE CHOSEN PEOPLE — MAMMON AGAINST ISRAEL, MARS AGAINST THE PENTAGON

“The Palestinian strategy against Israel is aimed at destroying Israel’s capacity to survive in its present state in a long war.

This means attacking the invincibility of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and their so-called Iron Dome defence; this began with the cross-border offensive on October 7, and continues with daily drone and artillery attacks on targets inside Israel, as well as resistance to IDF incursions in Gaza.

The plan also means exposing the weakness of the state’s infrastructure and economy; extending the battlefield across all of Israel’s territory – the ports, power plants and electricity grid, communications, and financial markets — making the cost of occupation of the Arab territories unendurable. In a long war, two of Israel’s leading exports earning more than 40% of the state’s trade — diamonds and tourism — face ruin.”

Israel announces expansion of ground operation in Gaza :
    https://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/19138365
“Israel is “expanding the scale” of its ground military operation in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by the official representative of the Israel Defense Forces Daniel Hagari.”

Looks like the Jewish-Israeli army will have a very busy Shabbat. Can they even have a day for ‘rest’ or ‘cessation’ and try to contempate a ceasefire as demanded by the ROW on their Shabbat. Has it now become an overwhelming religious duty for them to cause death and destruction of all Palestinians apart from other people from different cultures and religious denominations?

    “Hiroshima Child”
    by Nazim Hikmet:

I come and stand at every door
But none can hear my silent tread
I knock and yet remain unseen
For I am dead for I am dead

I’m only seven though I died
    In Hiroshima long ago
I’m seven now as I was then
When children die they do not grow

My hair was scorched by swirling flame
My eyes grew dim my eyes grew blind
Death came and turned my bones to dust
And that was scattered by the wind

I need no fruit I need no rice
I need no sweets nor even bread
I ask for nothing for myself
For I am dead for I am dead

All that I need is that for peace
You fight today you fight today
So that the children of this world
Can live and grow and laugh and play

( this poignant poem does well portray the plight of the dear children in Gaza, as all our hearts weep for those little ones facing the wrath of the little-big hegemon )

“An independent, impartial, international investigation is urgently needed, one that has access to information from all sides involved in the conflict. Neither the Israelis nor the Americans will agree to this, which itself suggests that Tel Aviv has much to conceal.

In the meantime, Palestinian civilians in Gaza endure ongoing, indiscriminate attacks with the most sophisticated heavy weapons in existence, living under the persistent threat of forced and potentially irreversible displacement. This Israeli air blitz was made possible only by the flood of unsubstantiated ‘Hamas atrocities’ stories that media began to circulate on and after 7 October.”

    “Lion In An Iron Cage”
    by Nazim Hikmet:

Look at the lion in the iron cage,
    look deep into his eyes:
    like two naked steel daggers
    they sparkle with anger.
But he never loses his dignity
    although his anger
    comes and goes
    goes and comes.

You couldn’t find a place for a collar
    round his thick, furry mane.
Although the scars of a whip
still burn on his yellow back
    his long legs
    stretch and end
in the shape of two copper claws.
The hairs on his mane rise one by one
    around his proud head.
    His hatred
    comes and goes
    goes and comes…

The shadow of my brother on the wall of the dungeon
    moves
    up and down
    up and down.

    i’ve come again
    like a new year
    to crash the gate
    of this old prison

    i’ve come again
to break the teeth and claws
    of this man-eating
    monster we call life

    i’ve come again
    to puncture the
    glory of the cosmos
    who mercilessly
    destroys humans

    i am the falcon
    hunting down the birds
    of black omen
    before their flights

    i gave my word
    at the outset to
    give my life
    with no qualms
    i pray to the Lord
    to break my back
    before i break my word

    how do you dare to
    let someone like me
    intoxicated with love
    enter your house

    you must know better
    if i enter
    i’ll break all this and
    destroy all that

    if the sheriff arrives
    i’ll throw the wine
    in his face
    if your gatekeeper
    pulls my hand
    i’ll break his arm

if the heavens don’t go round
    to my heart’s desire
    i’ll crush its wheels and
    pull out its roots

    you have set up
    a colourful table
    calling it life and
    asked me to your feast
    but punish me if
    i enjoy myself

“Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region. It’s the best $3 billion investment we make.”
    — Senator Joe Biden, June 5, 1986
(It’s ever about investments and returns for him)
All such imperialists perceive themselves to be the second coming of Winston Churchill, who they try to ape. They fervently promote a Jewish expansionist state while pushing back the ancient community of Palestinians to make way for Western settler colonialists.

The Gazans have no way out. Their choice is to die quick or die slow. The first option gives the best chance of survival. The people of Gaza should not be expected to denounce Hamas because all that they had seen so far is deceit and destruction by the Israelis.

These are the points the Hamas leaders considered when they decided to launch operation ‘Al Aqsa flood’. It might on its surface look like suicide, but the Gazan population is being set up for elimination anyway. They cannot leave Gaza and they cannot go on living there as it is.

    Very interesting article:
    https://www.countere.com/home/a-red-heifer-is-the-secret-to-understanding-the-israel-hamas-war
“That this conflict has the character of a holy war is necessary to understand it. It cannot be solved through military means—piecemeal destruction of Hamas is possible, but will annihilate so many Palestinian civilians that it will drag Israel into the abyss.”

Israel has no future. It is the most dangerous place on earth to be a Jew. Its behavior stirs up disgust and antisemitism all over the world, thus creating danger for the world’s Jewish community.

    Palestinian genocide:
Nur Alsalibi, a resident of Gaza, about the situation in the city and the Israeli Air Force strikes – especially for the Voenkor Kitten channel @voenkorKotenok :

The situation in the city is very difficult. The intensity of the impacts is growing every day. Rockets can fly anywhere at any time. Even if they hit not your house, but the neighboring one, fragments will fly into your house. Basically, they bomb the north and the “center” (“Rimal”). The Karama residential area has been completely destroyed. In Al-Zahraa, 24 residential buildings were destroyed.

Israel says Hamas was there, but that’s a lie – they weren’t there. Hamas fighters have gone into the tunnels under the city; Israeli missiles cannot even reach them. More than 90% of the dead were civilians. The figure of 4,385 dead is only those who could be found under the rubble. The real death toll is many times higher. A lot of children are dying who don’t know what Hamas and the IDF are.

The humanitarian situation is also getting worse. There has been no electricity for about two weeks. My family uses solar panels, so we have internet and at least some electricity. Most don’t have this. People charge their phones in hospitals where there are diesel generators, but there is less and less diesel for them. Pharmacies are closed, medicines are only available in hospitals, but they are also running out.

The water in the taps is provided for two hours a day – it is dirty, but you have to drink it, there is no other water. No food. Large supermarkets closed in the first days of the war, because… people swept away everything that was there, but there are no new products. We mainly eat bread and canned food. Even animals suffer. I have three kittens in my house, so come and give them just a little food, because there’s nowhere else to get a new one.

The fact that the population is allegedly leaving Gaza is an Israeli lie. Most remained in their homes. People don’t leave even under the threat of death. At the same time, phones are constantly receiving threatening messages from Israeli numbers. You may also receive a notification that “your house will be bombed” so that people feel in danger every minute.

We know that Russia opposes the West and does not support Israeli crimes. In Gaza they love Russia and the Russian people very much. Among the Arab countries, there is a very good attitude towards Qatar, Algeria, and Yemen. From non-Arab ones – to Iran. We believe that Iran and Hezbollah will intervene and prevent the genocide of Gaza.

But the attitude towards the governments of Egypt, the UAE and Jordan is very bad. Here they are considered traitors who caved in to the USA and Israel. The final straw was the Jordanian king’s announcement to provide airports to the American Air Force. And in general, the Jordanian government’s attitude towards the Palestinians has always been bad. If you have a Palestinian passport, the Jordanian security forces treated you like “shit” – they could detain you at the airport, or on the street, and raid you with a search.

As for the ground operation, I do not believe that Israel will launch it. The last time they carried out a limited ground operation was in 2014, when Hamas did not have the weapons it has today. And even then, Israel suffered great losses. Now they will be hundreds of times higher. If they enter Gaza, they will all remain here. People believe that Hamas will win. Support for the movement has only grown. Israel will achieve nothing by bombing.

    Forwarded from Military Chronicle:

Hezbollah’s activity and the IDF’s readiness for a ground operation: How the situation in Israel changed by October 21
Judging by the current events, the conflict is not subsiding, and the warring parties continue to prepare for the worst outcome of events.

    How does Hamas operate?
The Palestinian group is gradually moving away from the tactics of fire raids on targets deep inside Israel in favor of sabotage warfare. To a large extent, loitering ammunition and quadcopters with drops are used against Israeli Merkava Mk.4 tanks and Namer armored personnel carriers concentrated near the Gaza Strip. The IDF cannot yet counteract this tactic with anything: some armored vehicles are urgently equipped with special visors, the design of which is similar to the visors used in the air defense system, but full-fledged serial use of electronic warfare has not yet been observed. At the same time, Hamas rocket attacks are concentrated on cities in central Israel – Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva, Jerusalem and Ashdod. The long-range weapons that Military Chronicle talked about earlier are not used.

    How does the IDF operate?
After a short pause following an explosion in the parking lot of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital, Israeli aircraft resumed airstrikes. Their nature and geography suggest that the Israeli Air Force is using targeted strikes to clear a route for ground units. The final decision on the ground operation has not yet been made, but formal preparations for it are almost complete – the IDF has concentrated its forces on the northern and eastern borders of the Gaza Strip and introduced a water and energy blockade of the Palestinian settlement. The Internet is also turned off. It is noteworthy that after repeated attacks by IDF combat helicopters, Israeli AH-64 Apaches practically stopped performing combat missions, giving way to Hermes 900 drones. Despite the fact that the Israeli army has not yet officially entered the ground phase of the operation in the Gaza Strip, IDF armored forces have already suffered significant losses. There is information about the destruction of 15-20 Merkava Mk.4 tanks by Hamas units. Over the past seven to ten days, the same number of tanks were destroyed by Lebanese ATGM operators from Hezbollah. In total, about 350 Merkava Mk.1 tanks (1979-1983 production), 350 Merkava Mk.2 (1983-1989), 350 Merkava Mk.3 (1990-2002, including h. 150 1990-1995 and 200 1995-2000), as well as about 400 Merkava Mk.4.

    How does the conflict develop?
The Lebanese Hezbollah is increasingly taking the side of Hamas. The Lebanese are actively using artillery and launching fire raids on border fortified areas and IDF outposts, knocking out the surveillance system and making it difficult to track their own movements in every possible way. In response, Israel carries out air and artillery strikes on Lebanese territory, destroying Hezbollah’s military and infrastructure facilities, regardless of their real value and degree of influence on the fighting. A full-scale Hezbollah invasion, however, depends on Israel keeping its promise to launch a ground operation.
Yemen is gradually becoming another important player in this story. Houthi rebels demonstrated the use of long-range weapons and launched several Quds-3 cruise missiles towards Israel. All missiles and drones were intercepted by the American destroyer USS Carney in the northern part of the Red Sea, however, apparently, this was the plan.

“Zelensky & Netanyahu Fight Over Who Gets American Defense Money!”

“The recent outbreak of violence between Israel and the Palestinians has led to another battle as well – the fight for precious U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund different allied countries’ war machines. Both Volodymyr Zelensky and Benjamin Netanyahu called in to The Jimmy Dore Show to plead their cases to President Joe Biden who reassures them that as long as there’s war, there will be plenty of money from the U.S. treasury to fund it.
