⏰ Buying Time
The major theme of this report is that the US is supposedly delaying its Iran strikes until it can send more air defense systems to the region. But, from what I have seen, they have already delivered pretty much all they’ve got. Short of denuding Guam of its two THAAD batteries, the cupboard is bare.
Most of the US/NATO Patriot batteries have been burned in Ukraine, and besides, the Patriot has proven to be woefully ineffective in terms of ballistic missile defense.
If they delay much longer, it’s not because they are trying to deliver more AD, it’s because they’re trying to figure out how to back out of this mess with minimal humiliation.

🤔 I'm curious if anyone out there is aware of existing countermeasures to these newer model American EW pods. I wonder if the Russians, Chinese, or even the Iranians are known to have been working on the problem. https://t.co/wQ1cJK9qYh

KeymasterTime will tell I guess, but I’m old enough to remember when winter was a thing, not a lingering fall with an occasional cold snap. I also noticed the extreme temperature spike when factories and ships stopped putting up a soot blanket to block the sun.
The rabbit hole I go WAY down is that the increased CO2 is going to force physical human evolution. We already know what more CO2 does to the brain and body. I think rumors of different kinds of advanced technology from the very ancient past are probably real and also no longer possible because they were from a different climate with a different air composition.

KeymasterAppreciate the kind words!
FWIW I do think the earth’s climate is changing at a pace far beyond the natural variability of normal or even outsized earth cycles. And I think the fault for this is the absolutely human emissions. Any lingering doubts I had about this were swept away when COVID lockdowns cleared the skies and stopped some factories and we saw verified impacts to the climate.
I don’t think climate change is the end of humanity. I think the climate has changed drastically before, and so have humans.
That said, I think the research into climate change is pretty clear that the impacts of what we are experiencing will be felt most strongly in the Global South. At least the heat will be there. Europe will freeze when the AMOC stops. But I think the people in the not-yet-released Epstein files don’t care about the mass suffering that will be found in the Global South. They just want to win.
The US military has been openly preparing for climate change and associated resource wars since the 1990s. In my opinion, little bush invading Iraq and Afghanistan was kicked off the climate change resource wars. We’ll see if future historians agree with me.
I think climate change is a social justice issue. The wealthy west has brought changes that will make certain areas of the planet uninhabitable, and cause untold misery and suffering on countless billions who live in those areas. Of course TPTB funded a massive climate change denial campaign, so they can pretend what’s happening isn’t the desired outcome.
