Russia says three drones hit a café and a hotel in Khorly, in the Russia’s Kherson, right as civilians were gathered for New Year celebrations, with officials reporting at least 24 killed and over 50 wounded, including children, and describing incendiary effects that turned a countdown into a fire scene.
And then came the second event, predictably quieter, cleaner, more revealing than the smoke, Western silence.
Moscow’s UN mission in Geneva put it bluntly: if international human-rights officials can’t condemn this publicly and immediately, “silence” starts to look like complicity, not because Russia says so, but because that is what selective morality is: a political instrument, not a principle.
Let’s be very clear about the strategic anatomy here.
