🔻 WS: First of all, there is no doubt the Iranians suffered substantial damage over the course of the 12 days of battle.They also knew the US was going to get directly involved, which would necessarily expose them to additional damaging strikes, even if they were able to inflict severe damage in return.
In choosing to accept the American deal for a ceasefire, the Iranians were able to set in stone the reality of their strategic victory over Israel, and to also continue to root out Israeli operatives in Iran.
Additionally, they would be afforded time and opportunity to reorganize their command structure, and better prepare themselves for the almost certain resumption of hostilities when it comes.
And, perhaps most importantly, they were given to understand that both Russia and China are willing to more directly involve themselves; to strengthen Iranian air defense capabilities, and to establish long-term logistical support mechanisms to enable them to more effectively defend against direct American involvement in the war.

Dachnoe is the first settlement liberated by the Russian army in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The settlement of Dachnoe is located on the border between the Dnepropetrovsk region and the Donetsk People’s Republic. The neighboring settlements of Novoukrainka, Yalta and Zaporozhye in the DPR have also been liberated, according to the ministry.
In turn, the liberation of Bessalovka further develops the Russian army’s offensive in the Sumy region.

The move reportedly comes as Beijing seeks alternatives to US soybean supplies. The US was China’s second-largest soybean supplier in 2023.
China accounts for over 60% of global soybean imports. In 2023, it imported 87.39 million tonnes, including 59.67 million from Brazil, 22.43 million from the US, and 1.99 million from Argentina, according to the World Integrated Trade Solution.

⭕ Russia Remains Open to Diplomatic Settlement of Ukrainian Conflict, Lavrov Says“However, it must bring durable peace, not a mere ceasefire,” Russian FM Sergey Lavrov told a Hungarian newspaper.
Russia doesn’t need a pause that Kiev and its foreign handlers will use to regroup forces, continue mobilization, and rebuild their military capability, the top diplomat emphasized.

- Sustainable resolution of the conflict is impossible without addressing its root causes, primarily by eliminating the threats to Russia’s security, caused by NATO expansion;
- Russia also demands “demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, lifting sanctions on Russia, rescinding all lawsuits against Russia and returning the illegally seized Western-based assets;”
- Russia’s new regions (Crimea, DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions) must be internationally recognized;
- It is also crucial to ensure human rights protection in the territories that remain under control of Kiev, which since 2014 “has been destroying everything that is related to Russia;”
- Kiev brought Russophobia to the level of state policy: people who identify as Russians “have been told in no uncertain terms that they are second-class citizens — outliers — in Ukraine;”
- The peace settlement agreement should include all the mentioned provisions.
- Kiev can’t claim the principle of territorial integrity under international law, as it does not represent the people of the regions that joined Russia;
- It is “unwarranted” to use the term “annexation” in relation to Crimea and four other regions that joined Russia after referendums were held there in accordance with international law.
