The program for the first day of the visit will be dedicated to the 30th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, during which Mishustin will meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Hangzhou.
The second day of the visit will take place in Beijing, where Mishustin will hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

This will not make the other members of the US-led club, the G7, happy.But they can take comfort from the fact that the term “forever”, when uttered by the US leader, tends to mean “one to two weeks”, but has sometimes been less than 48 hours.

🇷🇺🇩🇿 The Soviet Army in 1962-1964 cleared significant territories of the newly independent Republic of Algeria from mines. These events have now become undeservedly forgotten.
France left behind an unpleasant legacy in the form of explosive devices. The most heavily mined areas were along the borders with Morocco and Tunisia (the “Challe” and “Morris” lines). The most important sections of these territories were already blocked in 1959 by minefields, post systems, and electrified wire barriers. (Why France did not clear up after itself is another question).
Lacking specialists, Algeria first sought help from European countries (Italy, Sweden, West Germany) but was refused. Contracts with private companies also did not lead to success. For example, a group of Italians led by retired General Ipolito Armando began work but soon stopped due to several people being blown up by mines.
The Soviet leadership agreed to carry out this work free of charge. An agreement was signed on July 27, 1963. In total, from 1962 to 1965, two groups of specialists from the USSR arrived in Algeria. During this time, they defused about 1.5 million mines, cleared more than 800 km of mine-explosive belts, and cleaned 120,000 hectares of land. Each sapper accounted for 10-15 thousand cleared shells. Some did not return home, many remained disabled… After returning, most sappers were awarded Soviet government honors. |media|
