  I guess you could call it a slow news day. Not much “hard” news, lots of talk and speculation and anger and bravado everywhere. The proverbial calm before the proverbial storm. I also take this as a signal that the mysterious something or other that happened new Isfahan was meant to be a “Big Deal” that was sniffed out and extinguished by Iran. That was meant to be the big deal everyone talked about, rather than just another small footnote in this war. Seems to me USrael is still trying to prove they have escalation dominance so these next few days and weeks are dangerous. Iran wants a war of attrition, IMHO. We aren’t there yet.

    This poster is pretty funny, in the typical “rah rah India” sense. Every time I see the word “indigenous” and “Indian” together, I pretty much laugh- it is almost 100% a lie, especially if it comes from Modi.
    
    Russia is way ahead in SMR implementation, and China has been running it’s active Thorium test reactor going on 2 years now and is building out more reactors than the world combined. Also note the phrasing- “building toward”, India is NOT using thorium at all. I’d be hard pressed to believe the engineering and tech to extract thorium is indigenous at all- India finally relented after 3 years of blocking payments for a German company/Chinese built tunnel boring machine, thinking they could service and install the machine themselves, but getting nowhere and now allowing Chinese technicians to come in. India’s tech is so service sector/middle management based that it cannot shift to any form of large scale engineering/manufacturing base without outside help and investment (which then gets scammed- see samsung, apple, all the chinese companies)- and so many other problems that many economists/analysts have pointed out in detail (fake gdp numbers, caste system, colonial mindset etc).
    
    IF, and I really stress IF, the claims that it is indigenous are true, hey- good for the planet, etc, India maybe having some sense of energy sovereignty- but I’m not holding my breath. Functionally distributing that power system in terms of infrastructure is a whole separate matter- India has increased solar panel mini-grid systems for electric limited communities…made by China.

      I don’t have time at the moment to comment on everything when I post, but I couldn’t but think this news was at least somewhat related to Modi’s trip to Israel a few weeks back. Indigenous? I doubt it.

        my thoughts are the same- it is totally in line with the slavish, dalit behavior of Modi, fulfilling the role for palestinian workers in the occupied territories as slave labor. I actually chuckle a bit with because I imagine some of those terrorist nuclear scientists already got got at the dimona shelters- so they may need those “indigenous” scientists to go back to the occupied lands, or be sent off to argentina to build their next “promised” land energy sources inside patagonia.

    For real, the lego videos are BANGERS, like host a block party, blast it out on the speakers level bangers. Imagine if they played these on things like a Chinese megamall public square 3d screen, the agitprop influence that would have- like the modern version of those WW2 newsreels- better than going to theaters at all =D
