The presentation is mostly vanilla but still worthwhile to review.

Russian Sherpa Sergey Ryabkov announced yesterday that the situation around Iran is the most pressing political issue for BRICS.
In terms of relevance of BRICS, Ryabkov said that in Russia, the bloc has already become part of the public discourse and an element of everyday life.
Taking a look at the membership, one can immediately see where the political problems come from. And then, other countries, perhaps politically aligned are now deep into the struggle to make up for the goods that used to flow through the Strait of Hormuz. We’re not expecting a joint declaration and if there is a declaration by the Chair, India, it will be a nothing burger. The best to hope for (and we may even be surprised), is that BRICS continue with integration of payment systems and use of their own currencies in trade.

And Oh Dear! We have to see the funnies. The Indian moderator’s accent translates Peskov into Piskov.
