June is donations month for us and I have to urge that if you can, kindly donate to sovereignista.com. Thanks for the regular monthly donations and I love it to see your names every month, and I literally send a little blessing or a prayer as I work through the list. But overall donations are down. So it will be NAG MONTH.
It is time and the kitty is a little dusty at the bottom. Don’t let Sovereignista go the way of the UN – and stare the word ‘broke’ in the face.

Russia backs Bangladesh for BRICS once pause on new members ends.
“Among the 10 BRICS countries that make up this grouping, we have reached an understanding that for some time we have suspended new applications,” Lavrov said in response to a Sputnik correspondent’s question.
Bangladesh has had their appliction on the waiting list since 2023. It was noticeable in the commenting during and after Spief that Africa as a whole considers BRICS as part and parcel of their road forward. Besides the partner countries, there are still a number of countries on waiting.
There are indications that BRICS is beginning to show signs of life. At least on the India BRICS website, we are now finding the activities as well as an effort at alternative dispute resolution.

On a sleepy Sunday morning ….
Bolivia looks like a civil war.
Mexico is beginning to fear the same treatment as Nicholás Maduro for its Presidente Claudia, who shouted out this last week: Sheinbaum to US Ambassador: “Mind Your Own Business.”
Cuba is distributing weapons to civilians.
Chile is in uproar.
Brazil is being destabilized with a Bolsonaro Baby – it must have been decided to keep the Bolsonaro name, and not appoint a Guidó running up to the elections.
We can continue to Peru, to Argentina and basically to the whole of Latin America – and this is before we start with West Asia. But we talk about West Asia on a daily basis, and the shock of last week was to see the return of the Oligarchs in Russia – a very clear internal destabilization. My joke is that I get the US news on the Russian English media. And we have not touched the pressure against China, where ALL of the neighbors are being destabilized specifically now the Philippines.
At the Armenia election today, many Armenian expats flew in to go and vote in person. So, it is easy to deal with .. just arrest some of them and their leaders and organizers.
The more or less global economic crash is taking root.
We have a soccer world cup, completely politicized and weaponized starting this week. Some are still trying to make this a happy time.
Mexico City attempts to set Guinness World RECORD for largest human wave, ahead of FIFA World Cup. Also known as ‘Mexican wave’, its true origin is debated, but it is believed to be popularized among football fans 40 years ago, during 1986 World Cup held in Mexico.
They did it: CDMX Enters the Record Books. Mexico City has achieved the Guinness World Record for the largest human wave in the world, which started at the Angel of Independence and traveled the entire length of Paseo de la Reforma. At 10:19 a.m., the arms went up, and the wave didn’t break until it reached the Caballito, at 10:24.
Happy Sleepy Sunday! Let me know what part of the world is not chaos-ified and being prepared for tribute to the US at this time. That is all they are doing and their complete industry is focused on taking the world while Israel sings .. First we take Manhattan and then we take Berlin. We’ve not touched Africa in this top of the head listing. South Africa is violently removing other Africans and sending them back home to more northern climes. The South African ICE is alive and well and beating up people. Africa as a whole is horrified. This is another incredible mistake. It is not what you do, it is how you do it.
The idea that the Global South can avoid conflict and wait it out til the West “decline” is delusional. It is the moment to decide between a change process made up of revolution or evolution.

‘Solving the Ukraine war’. We had this event that is called ‘Spirit of Alaska’. In Russia they still refer to it (and that is both Lavrov and Putin) where they say consistently that the US must do what it undertook to do at the summit at Alaska. So clearly, there were some undertakings from the US. I’ve said for a long time now that this Spirit has turned into a Ghost. Marco Rubio said it clearly:
Marco Rubio: “We are not, frankly speaking, impartial mediators in this war. We do not supply weapons to Russia. We supply weapons only to Ukraine. We do not impose sanctions on Ukraine, we impose sanctions only on Russia. So we have clearly chosen a side.”
I wonder when Russia will stop upholding undertakings from the non-agreement capable which is clearly their enemy?

Russia hopeful for resumption of Ukraine talks despite present pause
Russia hopes the current timeout in contacts on Ukraine will be bridged and that negotiations will resume, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Key statements:
🔶 President Vladimir Putin has received and reviewed the written version of Vladimir Zelensky’s open letter
🔶 The subject of Zelensky’s letter is expected to be addressed during Putin’s plenary session at SPIEF
🔶 No plans currently exist for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump
🔶 Substantial preparatory work would be necessary before any meeting between President Putin and President Trump could take place — most notably to advance a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict
🔶 Russia continues communication with the US through existing channels
🔶 Commenting on remarks by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Peskov noted that Washington continues to consistently support Kiev and supply it with weapons
🔶 Interest from Western businesses in Russia has never vanished
🔶 Even companies absent from SPIEF are closely following Putin’s upcoming speech
🔶Russia remains committed to attracting foreign investment and is determined to prove its reliability as a destination for international capital
🔶 Moscow considers the current lack of dialogue between Russia and Europe to be a dead end

In a statement to Al Mayadeen, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova issued an urgent call for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, noting with concern that the current truce is not being respected due to systematic violations by the Israeli side.
Zakharova explicitly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory and urged a comprehensive political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, emphasizing that any resolution must be firmly rooted in the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Hezbollah rejects fictitious ceasefire in Israel’s interest. According to Hezbollah, the agreement threatens Lebanon’s very existence
BEIRUT, June 4. /TASS/. Lebanon’s sovereignty can only be restored by ending Israeli aggression and withdrawing troops from occupied territory, the Shia group Hezbollah said on its Telegram.
“The Islamic Resistance rejects a fictitious ceasefire in Israel’s interests, which threatens Lebanon’s very existence,” the statement noted. “We consider the continuation of direct talks in Washington, which sow discord among the Lebanese, to be absurd, humiliating, and shameful,” Hezbollah emphasized.
On June 3, the third round of US-brokered Lebanese-Israeli talks concluded. The parties agreed to terms for a truce, which include a complete ceasefire by Hezbollah and the withdrawal of all its fighters from the area south of the Litani River.

The United States announced a new round of sanctions on Thursday targeting Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, members of his immediate family, and relatives of former Cuban leader Raul Castro, marking the latest escalation in Washington’s pressure campaign against the island’s leadership.
Among those sanctioned were Diaz-Canel, his wife Lis Cuesta Peraza, and his stepson Manuel Anido Cuesta. The measures also targeted relatives of Raul Castro, including his son and grandson, despite the former president no longer holding an official government position.
The sanctions, imposed by the US Treasury Department, include asset freezes and restrictions on dealings with US entities. Several Cuban institutions, including the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, were also targeted under the latest measures.

Updates will follow later in our day. Life is busy and there is a new word to announce.
Do take a look at Pepe and Nima – and soon to come a video from Radhika Desai and others, discussing the Russian zeitgeist in terms of economics.
Spief is where it is at today and tomorrow. Mr Putin’s speech as usual is awaited with bated breath. Russia has lost their traditional patience.
China is also losing patience fast, as there is a new destabilization program running on the two old tropes – forced labor in Xinjiang and Tibet must be able to ‘choose for itself’.
Then we are watching the spectacular flight of Iran to world leadership. Iran wants VISA-FREE regime with Russia — Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem – ‘Iran is FULLY PREPARED to open the country to Russian citizens’
At least we have a little break UN side with the elections of new UNSC members (reported below). Germany is just about in mourning with tears, because they lost their non-permanent member seat, which they thought was a sure bet. It is a major step forward to have as president-elect of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman. George Galloway at Spief mocked Baerbock when she had to announce Germany’s loss of a seat. He said Baerbock’s expression was ‘much more entertaining than Eurovision, I can assure you of that’ 😂

The UN voted for five new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council today. Germany (thanks) lost as no-one believed that they would ‘follow international law’. The contest between the Philippines and Kyrgyzstan for the seat for the Asia-Pacific Group went to four rounds of voting, with Kyrgyzstan eventually achieving the necessary two-thirds majority and securing its first-ever Security Council seat by 142 votes to 49.
The groups voted for today were:
- One for the African Group
- One for the Asia-Pacific Group
- One for the Latin American and Caribbean Group
- Two for the Western European and Others Group
These are the new members
African Group
Zimbabwe (182)
Asia-Pacific Group
Kyrgyzstan (142)¹
Latin American and Caribbean Group
Trinidad and Tobago (181)
Western European and Others Group
Baerbock is also gone … soon.
MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. The president-elect of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, will visit Russia on June 7-9, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“Moscow welcomes the intention of the president-elect to give priority to defending the interests of the Global South and East, to promote the rapid achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, to enhance the effectiveness of the General Assembly, and, more broadly, to help restore the UN’s central coordinating role in world affairs. The Russian side is committed to constructive and fruitful cooperation with Rahman, including during his official visit to Russia on June 7-9, 2026,” the ministry noted.

I’m not inclined to tell Russia what to do, but what can be said at this stage is that if Russia does not act more seriously, the attempt to destroy the Russian civilization collective consciousness will revolt against their own. The cognitive war is in full swing. Russia’s mass strikes is not changing this.
Ukrainian drones launched an attack, reportedly coming in from the Baltics, penetrating the airspace over St. Petersburg – more than 800 kilometers from Ukrainian territory and striking a major oil terminal in the city, igniting massive fires and sending plumes of thick black smoke into the distance, visible to all those attending the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Wednesday,
NATO just KILLED 7 Russian civilians in a bus in Donetsk https://t.co/JbYb7Q7FVC
— George Galloway (@georgegalloway) June 3, 2026
Russia carried out a major attack last night:
Last night, in response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive strike with long-range air-, ground-, and sea-based high-precision weapons, including hypersonic aerial ballistic missiles, attack drones at defence industry enterprises in Kiev, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, and Dnepropetrovsk, as well as in Poltava, Khmelnitsky, and Sumy regions, fuel and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military airfields.
Dmitry Peskov stated again that Russia has embarked on systematic retaliation against Ukrainian attacks. My understanding is that this will be regular major strikes until 404 is flattened. It cannot come soon enough!

Both serious kinetic wars explode on the same day.
Both serious wars are against the West and as a result of Western attacks because they want war and will agitate, propagandize, create pretexts and shoot children and nuclear power plants one way or the other, until they get it. They want a global war as they have nothing else left. They have burnt through their own collateral and now they want the collateral of the rest of the world, even if they have to burn it down first.
Russia, China and Iran changed tactics and major war strategy on the same day.
They realize that the current world shift cannot be done any longer via a process of evolutionary change, but only with revolutionary change. Revolutions as change agents are fickle instruments.
For China the main weapons is still economic pressure on the US. “Chinese envoy to the UNSC calls for immediate cease-fire, Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon at UN Security Council meeting.” These words are a matter of form these days, as China is preparing for war from three fronts: Japan, some form of the rest of the Quad in local waters and overall pressure on the first island chain at least, as well as the brutal war to denude South Asia of oil, oil products and hydrocarbons by controlling supply chain choke-points.
For the LAC, the attempt with what is called “Our Hemisphere” is to create new lands of serfs, with the equivalent of emperors, to feed and pamper the US. This is not neo-colonialism but very old raw serfdom. The move of Peter Thiel to Argentina is not innocent – Meet the first new Emperor-King. It has nothing to do with Countries and States as we know them. It is now a take-over by the super-rich conglomerates, richer than most small countries, for Emperor-Kingships.
My friends, we are at war accompanied by global economic travail. Rough estimate and open to debate and reconsideration, 5 years. Countries will burn down and change. Borders will change. Leaders will change. The nuclear weapons threat might not remain a threat only. Allies will change in a dog-eat-dog world.
🔹🔹🔹🔹
This will not be the last strike of this nature. Russia uses the word ‘systemic’ – i.e., their change in SMO tactics is now the new system. Yesterday President Putin stated that the Kyiv regime had given the conflict a “new quality” with attacks on a college in Starobilsk and residential buildings in Henichesk. “Well, that’s their choice,” the president noted.
Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin at a meeting on June 1 stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using Western-made drones and components from NATO countries. In particular, a Starlink antenna was found at the site of one of the attacks.
Statement by the Russian Defense Ministry on a massive strike on Ukraine
– Tonight, in response to the terrorist acts of the Kiev regime, the Russian army launched a massive strike with high-precision long-range air, ground, and sea-based weapons, including hypersonic aero-ballistic missiles, and strike UAVs against defense-industrial complex enterprises in Kiev, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, and Dnepr, as well as in the Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, and Sumy regions, fuel and transport infrastructure facilities of Ukraine used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military airfields.
– The strike objectives have been achieved, all designated targets have been hit.
We will have real numbers on how many strikes Russia made. According to preliminary data, a total of 99 missiles were launched, including 37 Iskander-M/S-400s, 24 Kh-101s, 16 Kalibrs, 12 Iskander-Ks and 10 Zircons.
🔹🔹🔹🔹
Despite all of that, SPIEF will continue. New Global Development Model at Heart of 30th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026
🔹Over 130 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
🔹Heads of government, representatives of international organizations, business leaders and high-level experts will gather for this major event.
“The broad international representation at SPIEF 2026 confirms that the Forum retains its significance as a key global space for building partnerships, sharing experience, and shaping new directions for cooperation,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
🔹Under the theme “Pragmatic Dialogue: The Path to a Stable Future,” the 30th SPIEF will focus entirely on developing a new global development model amid profound transformation of the global economy.
🔹Saudi Arabia will be the guest of honor of this edition.
👉Vladimir Putin will address the plenary session on June 5.
📍The event will take place in Saint Petersburg from June 3 to 6.
🔹🔹🔹🔹
With Hezbollah refusing yet another peace that is not a peace, the strikes in Southern Lebanon, the Northern Occupied territories and Gaza continue. Hezbollah announced that they are interested in a complete cessation of the war only.
The US has nothing left. They are back to old tactics and are threatening, pressurizing and coercing Oman to break its relationship with Iran.
Yesterday we were all skeptical when Trump announced that he spoke with Hezabollah. A message was handed to the Hezbollah contact person and Hezbollah refused a peace that is not a peace via messaging.
🔹🔹🔹🔹
In Venezuela, the US has taken control of all incoming oil revenues. Fuel payments must now be transferred to the US treasury. Venezuela’s state oil company (PDVSA) in an official notice to its clients, including airlines and shipping companies, ordered that fuel payments be transferred not to the Venezuelan government’s accounts, but directly to the US Treasury.
In essence, this decision transfers control over Venezuela’s energy revenues to the US government.
Jun 1
So, we have Netanyahu’s response. Netanyahu: “I spoke this evening with President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not stop attacking our cities and our citizens, Israel will strike terrorist targets in Beirut. Our position on this remains unchanged. At the same time, the IDF will continue to operate as planned in southern Lebanon.”
How long before Iran takes aim? 12 hours? 24? Iran announced earlier that the inhabitants of the Northern Occupied Territories should evacuate and get out.
Marwa Osman just now:
There you go👇🏻
Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc, Hassan Fadlallah, revealed that Hezbollah rejected a proposal for a partial truce that would have spared Beirut from Israeli attacks in exchange for halting operations against northern occupied Palestine.
The message conveyed to all parties remains unchanged: a comprehensive ceasefire must come first, followed by the withdrawal of the occupying forces. There will be no return to the reality that existed before March 2.
POINT.
In other words, the resistance refused to trade strategic gains for temporary relief, insisting that any settlement must address the root cause of the conflict rather than merely manage its consequences.
🔹🔹🔹🔹
🔹”Iranian officials and negotiators emphasized the immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations by the occupation army in Gaza and Lebanon,” as well as “the necessity of ‘Israel’s’ complete withdrawal from the occupied territories in Lebanon.” The language was close to threatening to intervene.
🔹Prof Marandi stated: The Western media has a full presence in Beirut, yet they try to justify the slaughter of civilians by calling these Hezbollah targets — Seyed Mohammed Marandi, political analyst, Tehran University professor to RT
‘Iranians are saying slaughter in Gaza, in Lebanon must end’
🔹Trump then says he has leashed Netanyahu in Lebanon. We will see.
There will be ‘no troops going to Beirut’ (he probably means no strikes) and claims that ‘all shooting between Israel and Hezbollah will stop’. (Trump talked with Hezbollah? Yeah right, sure.) Any troops that were on their way have already turned back.

He then announced that talks with Iran is now on again. Israeli media reported that “Israel” has postponed its aggression on Beirut’s Southern Suburb after a last-minute intervention by the United States,” despite earlier reports of the US greenlighting the attack.
🔹Now we wait. Note, this reporting is all Trump, and he is talking about troops only. We have to wait for Iran.

Following Israel’s escalation in Lebanon, Iran suspends all negotiations with the United States, according to Tasnim.
Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran has paused the exchange of messages with the US via mediators in protest against the Israeli crimes in Lebanon.
Tasnim added that “Iranian officials and negotiators emphasized the immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations by the occupation army in Gaza and Lebanon,” as well as “the necessity of ‘Israel’s’ complete withdrawal from the occupied territories in Lebanon.”
“There will be no talks unless Iran’s and the Resistance’s stances regarding a ceasefire on all fronts are met,” the agency added.
In response, “the Resistance Front and Iran have enlisted in their agenda the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the activation of other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait,” Tasnim further reported.
Early days – lets wait for the fallout and there will be fallout!
Tasnim keeps reporting: (Glad to see Gaza mentioned as I have not seen Gaza in previous talks or exchanges of so-called MoU notes):
Urgent/ Iran stops exchanging messages with the US in protest of Zionist crimes
The determination of the Iranian armed forces and all the axes of the resistance front to react to Zionist crimes and open new fronts
▪️ Tasnim’s information indicates that due to the continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Lebanon and considering that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the ceasefire and now this ceasefire has been violated on all fronts including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating team will stop “talks and exchange of texts through mediation”.
[▪️] The immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations of the Zionist regime army in Gaza and Lebanon and the necessity of the regime’s complete withdrawal from the occupied areas in Lebanon have been emphasized by Iranian officials and negotiators, and until the opinion of Iran and the resistance in this regard, there will be no dialogue.
▪️ Also, the Resistance Front and Iran have put their determination to completely block the Strait of Hormuz, and activate other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, in order to punish the Zionists and their supporters.

The UN could face a funding shortfall by mid-August amid the largest financial crisis in recent years – WSJ
The main issues are related to delayed contributions from the United States and China – the two largest donors of the organization, which account for about 42% of its base budget.
Washington’s debt exceeds $4 billion, and Beijing, after a recent payment of $850 million, still owes about $455 million.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the UN cannot take out loans, and a significant portion of its expenses goes to personnel. Additional pressure on the budget is also exerted by reductions in contributions from a number of other countries, including Germany, the UK, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Each of us, every day must write about the Victims of Gaza. Please read the Sony Thang Truth posted this morning and understand why Mike Pompeo wants to leave the Victims of Gaza out of the story. This part he wants to forget. These Victims of Gaza are not real. And this is exactly part of the reason that we can call the Gaza story a ongoing genocide. Part of the definition of genocide is exactly this, where people are denied life and reality of their peoplehood. Hence, they must be written out of the story according to the Axis of Barbarism. Good catch Periol, at today’s Chronicles of the Apocalypse! The barbarians are writing historical revisionism yet again.
