Russia backs Bangladesh for BRICS once pause on new members ends.

“Among the 10 BRICS countries that make up this grouping, we have reached an understanding that for some time we have suspended new applications,” Lavrov said in response to a Sputnik correspondent’s question.

Bangladesh has had their appliction on the waiting list since 2023. It was noticeable in the commenting during and after Spief that Africa as a whole considers BRICS as part and parcel of their road forward. Besides the partner countries, there are still a number of countries on waiting.

There are indications that BRICS is beginning to show signs of life.  At least on the India BRICS website, we are now finding the activities as well as an effort at alternative dispute resolution.

‘Solving the Ukraine war’.  We had this event that is called ‘Spirit of Alaska’.  In Russia they still refer to it (and that is both Lavrov and Putin) where they say consistently that the US must do what it undertook to do at the summit at Alaska.  So clearly, there were some undertakings from the US.  I’ve said for a long time now that this Spirit has turned into a Ghost.  Marco Rubio said it clearly:

Russia hopeful for resumption of Ukraine talks despite present pause

Russia hopes the current timeout in contacts on Ukraine will be bridged and that negotiations will resume, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

It is a major step forward to have as president-elect of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman.  George Galloway at Spief mocked Baerbock when she had to announce Germany’s loss of a seat.  He said Baerbock’s expression was ‘much more entertaining than Eurovision, I can assure you of that’  😂

The UN voted for five new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council today.  Germany (thanks) lost as no-one believed that they would ‘follow international law’.  The contest between the Philippines and ⁠Kyrgyzstan for the seat for the Asia-Pacific Group went to ​four rounds of voting, with Kyrgyzstan eventually achieving the necessary two-thirds majority ​and securing its first-ever Security Council seat by 142 votes to 49.

The groups voted for today were:

• One for the African Group
• One for the Asia-Pacific Group
• One for the Latin American and Caribbean Group
• Two for the Western European and Others Group

Dmitry Peskov stated again that Russia has embarked on systematic retaliation against Ukrainian attacks.  My understanding is that this will be regular major strikes until 404 is flattened.  It cannot come soon enough!

Both serious kinetic wars explode on the same day.

Both serious wars are against the West and as a result of Western attacks because they want war and will agitate, propagandize, create pretexts and shoot children and nuclear power plants one way or the other, until they get it.  They want a global war as they have nothing else left.  They have burnt through their own collateral and now they want the collateral of the rest of the world, even if they have to burn it down first.

Russia, China and Iran changed tactics and major war strategy on the same day.

They realize that the current world shift cannot be done any longer via a process of evolutionary change, but only with revolutionary change.  Revolutions as change agents are fickle instruments.

For China the main weapons is still economic pressure on the US.   “Chinese envoy to the UNSC calls for immediate cease-fire, Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon at UN Security Council meeting.”  These words are a matter of form these days, as China is preparing for war from three fronts: Japan, some form of the rest of the Quad in local waters and overall pressure on the first island chain at least, as well as the brutal war to denude South Asia of oil, oil products and hydrocarbons by controlling supply chain choke-points.

For the LAC, the attempt with what is called “Our Hemisphere” is to create new lands of serfs, with the equivalent of emperors, to feed and pamper the US.  This is not neo-colonialism but very old raw serfdom.  The move of Peter Thiel to Argentina is not innocent – Meet the first new Emperor-King.  It has nothing to do with Countries and States as we know them.  It is now a take-over by the super-rich conglomerates, richer than most small countries, for Emperor-Kingships.

My friends, we are at war accompanied by global economic travail.  Rough estimate and open to debate and reconsideration, 5 years.  Countries will burn down and change.  Borders will change.  Leaders will change.  The nuclear weapons threat might not remain a threat only.  Allies will change in a dog-eat-dog world.

This will not be the last strike of this nature.  Russia uses the word ‘systemic’ – i.e., their change in SMO tactics is now the new system.  Yesterday President Putin stated that the Kyiv regime had given the conflict a “new quality” with attacks on a college in Starobilsk and residential buildings in Henichesk. “Well, that’s their choice,” the president noted.

Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin at a meeting on June 1 stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using Western-made drones and components from NATO countries. In particular, a Starlink antenna was found at the site of one of the attacks.

We will have real numbers on how many strikes Russia made.  According to preliminary data, a total of 99 missiles were launched, including 37 Iskander-M/S-400s, 24 Kh-101s, 16 Kalibrs, 12 Iskander-Ks and 10 Zircons.

With Hezbollah refusing yet another peace that is not a peace, the strikes in Southern Lebanon, the Northern Occupied territories and Gaza continue. Hezbollah announced that they are interested in a complete cessation of the war only.

The US has nothing left.  They are back to old tactics and are threatening, pressurizing and coercing Oman to break its relationship with Iran.

Yesterday we were all skeptical when Trump announced that he spoke with Hezabollah.  A message was handed to the Hezbollah contact person and Hezbollah refused a peace that is not a peace via messaging.

In Venezuela, the US has taken control of all incoming oil revenues.  Fuel payments must now be transferred to the US treasury.  Venezuela’s state oil company (PDVSA) in an official notice to its clients, including airlines and shipping companies, ordered that fuel payments be transferred not to the Venezuelan government’s accounts, but directly to the US Treasury.

In essence, this decision transfers control over Venezuela’s energy revenues to the US government.

So, we have Netanyahu’s response.  Netanyahu: “I spoke this evening with President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not stop attacking our cities and our citizens, Israel will strike terrorist targets in Beirut. There will be ‘no troops going to Beirut’ (he probably means no strikes) and claims that ‘all shooting between Israel and Hezbollah will stop’.  (Trump talked with Hezbollah?  Yeah right, sure.)  Any troops that were on their way have already turned back.

He then announced that talks with Iran is now on again.  Israeli media reported that “Israel” has postponed its aggression on Beirut’s Southern Suburb after a last-minute intervention by the United States,” despite earlier reports of the US greenlighting the attack.

Iran cuts to the chase and directly to the bone! Local time in Iran.

Following Israel’s escalation in Lebanon, Iran suspends all negotiations with the United States, according to Tasnim.

Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran has paused the exchange of messages with the US via mediators in protest against the Israeli crimes in Lebanon.

Tasnim added that “Iranian officials and negotiators emphasized the immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations by the occupation army in Gaza and Lebanon,” as well as “the necessity of ‘Israel’s’ complete withdrawal from the occupied territories in Lebanon.”

“There will be no talks unless Iran’s and the Resistance’s stances regarding a ceasefire on all fronts are met,” the agency added.

In response, “the Resistance Front and Iran have enlisted in their agenda the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the activation of other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait,” Tasnim further reported.

The UN could face a funding shortfall by mid-August amid the largest financial crisis in recent years – WSJ

The main issues are related to delayed contributions from the United States and China – the two largest donors of the organization, which account for about 42% of its base budget.

Ollie Vargas says that the entire election was marked by massive interference operation funded by the US and the narco-regime in Ecuador, including threats of a US military attack if people voted the ‘wrong’ way. Cepeda will fight these interests in the 2nd round. Not over yet.
