Israel / Iran war update (Russia and China – Victor Gao – view)
Information, or differently stated, correct information, is difficult to obtain after the Israeli censorship dictates came down. One has to read and mine for information with great caution. Let me show an example:
From Israeli media: The photographer working for Al-Jazeera has finally been arrested by Israeli police!! From the start, we wondered how Al-Jazeera was broadcasting footage from Tel Aviv, given that Israel banned the Qatari network. Worse, they were constantly broadcasting the exact locations where the Iranian missiles hit, which was forbidden by censorship for security reasons.
And even in that Israeli report, we get information. “… they were constantly broadcasting the exact locations where Iranian missiles hit … ”
Right there, reading through the censorship, we know Iranian missiles are hitting.

Under the censorship regime, we get information as follows: IDF: Iran deliberately targeted Soroka Hospital to cause mass casualties.
Right after that, the world starts writing:
ISRAEL BOMBED 36 HOSPITALS in GAZA.
ISRAEL BOMBED 40 HOSPITALS in LEBANON.

Be very sure, the world stands on the side of Iran and understands clearly that Israel attacked Iran.
Iran, however, is sending a somewhat mixed message. If you listened to Mr.Putin’s Q&A with international journalists yesterday, he explained the Russian agreement with Iran. Let’s take a look at Smoothie, who chose this part of Putin’s address to highlight:
This Is For Those People …
… and there are plenty of them here who for some reason always think that Russia owes everything to everyone. Here is a confirmation of my long-standing thesis about Iran being a not easy partner. Obviously, Iran is an ancient culture and very proud people, but they are also extremely sensitive (understandably) about own sovereignty and entering any kind of alliances. Sometimes to own detriment.
Putin emphasized that Russia firmly opposes any further escalation between Iran and Israel. When asked what would Moscow do in the event of a targeted assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Putin refused to even entertain the premise, calling it a “scenario I won’t even discuss.” Putin added that Moscow has not been asked to intervene militarily in the conflict and sees no reason to alter its current stance. While Russia has previously delivered air defense systems to Iran, Putin claimed Tehran showed “little interest” in broader cooperation. Instead, Putin advocated for mutual security guarantees that would protect both Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology and Israel’s right to security. He said Moscow has put forward several compromise frameworks to all stakeholders – including the US, Israel, and Iran – and held out hope that diplomacy could prevail.
I repeat again–you cannot impose yourself on people. If they decide that they can go it alone, it is their decision and it must be respected. Russia is ready to do her part if asked, she wasn’t. That’s your answer to why “Russia doesn’t give S-400 to Iran”. Because Iran doesn’t need them, in their opinion. Stay tuned.
In contrast, this is the statement from the Office of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani (H):
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Supreme Religious Authority in the holy city of Najaf reaffirms its strong condemnation of the ongoing military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as any threat to its highest religious and political leadership.
Such criminal acts in addition to violating religious and moral principles represent a clear breach of international norms and laws. The pursuit of such dangerous actions poses serious and far-reaching risks to the stability of the entire region. If continued, they could trigger uncontrollable chaos, deepen the suffering of the region’s peoples, and inflict severe damage to the collective interests of all nations involved.
The office of His Eminence, therefore, calls upon all influential global actors and nations especially those from the Islamic world to exert every possible effort to halt this unjust war and pursue a just, peaceful resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue, based on the principles of international law.
Iran should ask for help, not only in general, but also in specific. Pride comes before a fall, and before the US enters this war (they’ve entered but not very formally), Iran should set up formal assistance channels with both Russia and China. It is there for the asking!
About the US? Oh boy, their Orange Taco Manchild is losing it, and he is in a corner. It is depressing to take too much interest, as one cannot partake of dementia for too long. Read Larry Johnson titled: Donald Trump Has a Major Political Problem Over Iran.
Iran is as far as what we can see in a tit for tat war.
Tit – Israel shoots the Iranian Red Crescent building
Tat – Iran shoots the Israeli spy shop (command and information center of the Zionist army) right next to their Soroko Hospital.
Tit – Trump blunders that ‘we’ own the Iranian airspace.
Tat – Iran lets fly with two new missiles that make the Israeli Missile Defense start shooting itself and then fall in on itself chaotically shooting interceptor missiles in irrelevant directions, without the ability to take down Iranian missiles. Iran then announces that Iran owns the Israeli Airspace with threats to the Gulf countries and the US. There is a segue here in that the wild use of interceptor missiles shooting Iranian missiles that cannot be caught has led Israel to reduce and ration the use of its interceptors.
Israel, in the past few hours, claimed strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites in Bushehr, Isfahan, and Natanz.
Bushehr is home to a major civilian nuclear power plant, constructed and operated with Russian assistance. The Bushehr-1 reactor, built by Rosatom, has been operational since 2013 and is under IAEA oversight. Additional reactors at the site are also being developed by Rosatom. Russia (Mr.Putin) announced that they spoke to Israel and received a ‘promise’ that Israel will not target the two new nuclear facilities that Russia is building for Iran.
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev issued a stark warning earlier today: “If the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran is struck, the resulting disaster would be comparable to Chernobyl — this must not be allowed.”
Segue: Israel lies again: Tass reports that an Israeli military source told TASS that the army spokesman “mistakenly” listed Bushehr as one of the sites hit by Israeli strikes.
Since then, Russia gave a further stark warning to the U.S. against intervening in Iran, and Maria Zakahrova stated that the United States getting involved in military action against Iran could lead to uncontrollable consequences.
This is where we stand in terms of the big picture. Israel is hated across the world. In another atrocity, Gaza: multiple casualties, including children, were reported in the Israeli occupation massacre that was committed in Gaza City after Israeli occupation forces bombed a group of Palestinians. This slaughter continues.
Victor Gao expresses the Chinese view and he does not mince words. A note that I received with this video, is: Dr Gao repeats over and over and over again how “Israel” is the outrageous aggressor! These repetitions veil a great deal of anger… transmitted “diplomatically”
In this exclusive interview, Dr. Victor Gao, Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization, condemns Israel’s military strikes on Iran, calling it a “war of aggression.” He says China deplores the attacks and urges both Israel and the US to stop escalation. Gao defends China’s relationship with Iran, rejects US sanctions, and warns that any further aggression could destabilize the entire region.
Gao: Nobody should allow Netanyahu to save his skin both internally in Israel and outside and escape justice, both internally as well as in the Hague
I don’t believe that Russia and China are standing by watching Iran getting attacked. Iran did some precision strikes in the last two days that aren’t possible without ISR, something that Iran doesn’t have. The ‘silence’ of R and C has enraged Global South supporters, but it also is making… Read more »

NB. Grand Ayatollah Sayyid al-Sistani above speaks from Najaf, Iraq, the second Shia seminary in the world. A traditional rival of Iran, but now on precipice of declaring holy war for all. Pakistan similarly works to marshal the comatose Sunnis. Momentous days Russia and China can complain all they want… Read more »
My thinking is a little different. We have to cherish the places where we do not have war. This does not cancel anything else that you said but we have to converse about a more sound world.
