Russian MoD:

In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, based on humanitarian considerations, during the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, since 0:00 of 8 May, the Russian Groups of Forces deployed in the special military operation zone have been strictly observing the ceasefire regime remaining in previously taken positions.

❗️ The AFU formations did not stop fighting the Russian troops despite the announcement of a ceasefire regime. They made four attempts to break through the State border of the Russian Federation in Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as to launch 15 attacks and one reconnaissance-in-force near Novoyegorovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Lipovoye, Redkodoub, Dzerzhinsk, Romanovka, Novoolenovka, Mirolyubovka, Ulyanovka, Yelizavetovka, Troitskoye, Alekseyevka, Novoaleksandrovka, and Veseloye (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Along the line of contact, Ukrainian units carried out 1,455 shelling attacks by tube artillery, tanks, and mortars against Russian positions, as well as 23 attacks with the use of multiple-launch rocket systems. Moreover, 3,502 drone strikes and munitions drops were carried out. A total of 5,026 ceasefire violations were recorded.

In these circumstances, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation respond to the violations of the ceasefire by the AFU in an equal manner and will continue to act according to the situation in response to all criminal violations of the Kiev regime.

Great! Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico successfully flew out to Moscow to celebrate Victory Day. The day before, Fico announced that Estonia had banned his plane from flying through its airspace. The prime minister’s plane, which passes through the airspace of Hungary, Romania and Georgia, is scheduled to land in the Russian capital at around 9:30 pm Moscow time.

Pakistan – India: Yes, there are shootings. Yes, there are victims of the shootings. In reality though and this is early days, it looks like a media war. There are reports that India is using Israeli drones. The situation is still explosive.

– 12x indian drones shot down in all over Pakistan, resulting in multiple injuries;
– 1 drone shot down in Gujranwala;
– 1 drone shot down in Walton,
Lahore;
– 1 drone shot down in Rawalpindi;
– 1 drone shot down in Chakwal;
– 1 drone shot down in Sialkot;
– 1 drone shot down in Gotki Sindh;
– 1 drone shot down in malir karachi.

An interesting fact is that the Chinese commentators say that so far, Pakistan has won. There still is space for hope for a realistic approach from both these countries as this is not yet a raging war. It is raging skirmish.

India just placed a $7.5B order for 26 Rafales on April 28.

From the Russian MoD: In accordance with the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, due to humanitarian reasons, during the holidays on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, all the Groups of Forces deployed in the special military operation zone have disengaged from all combat operations since 00:00 of 8 May remaining in previously taken positions.

🔹 The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation strictly observe the ceasefire regime. Aviation, Missile Troops, Artillery, and unmanned aerial vehicles ceased all attacks.

❗️ Despite the announcement of the ceasefire, the AFU formations continued to engage in combat actions against Russian troops. The AFU made two attempts to penetrate the State Border of the Russian Federation in Kursk region and attacked Dzerzhinsk (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▪️ Along the line of contact, Ukrainian units attacked positions of Russian troops 173 times by tube artillery, tanks, and mortars as well as delivered 4 strikes by MLRS projectiles. In addition, 300 UAV strikes and munition drops from drones were attempted by the AFU.

▪️ In total, 488 violations of the ceasefire have been recorded.

🔹 Deliberate destructive actions of the Ukrainian side towards Russia confirm the commitment of the Kiev regime to undermine the efforts to peacefully settle the conflict in Ukraine.

❗️ In these circumstances, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation respond to the violations of the ceasefire by the AFU in an equal manner and will continue to act according to the situation by addressing all criminal assaults of the Kiev regime.

📍Volunteers from Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, and Kelowna filmed short clips symbolically “handing off” the flowers across cities — all the way to monuments in Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.

While the India – Pakistan caper is being reported on by everyone with a channel eiyh a short short attention span that they forget about Gaza, Israel is using this shift of media attention to increase brutal killings on Gaza and the Palestinians.  Israel keeps killing. Today alone, 100 martyrs rose in Gaza. That is what can be counted. A young boy who I followed, around 12 years old, who made and sold coffee on some corner to support his family, was killed in this latest massacre.

It is difficult to ascertain whether India – Pakistan are only threatening and shooting down jets,  or if any of the two want to continue.  China is talking loudly and consistently to both parties.  The FM of Iran is in India today and was in Pakistan yesterday, to mediate.  Talking about taking media attention, it is noticeable that India started their action against Pakistan just at the time of Russia commemorating the end of the 2nd WW. Coincidence?  Russian Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov: “The West failed to escalate Ukraine, now they’re pivoting to Asia.”

Lithuania and Latvia ban Serbian President Vučić and Slovak PM Fico’s planes from flying through their airspace on May 9.  Lithuania cites ‘technical and diplomatic considerations’ for the decision.   Serbian President’s plane force landed in Azerbaijan due to Baltic states’ airspace ban.    Apparently Vučić is somehow still on his way.  In Moscow there is a plane jam.    Flights are not departing Moscow airports due to threat of drones and something like 60,000 passengers are reportedly impacted.

People watch on as Russia thwarts the largest drone attack in history — hours before proposed ceasefire period.  524 Ukrainian drones & foreign supplied Neptune missiles, 6 JDAM bombs & 2 HIMARS rockets were intercepted over the last 24 hours.

China warns US against ‘coercion’ as top officials prepare for trade talks AT US REQUEST.

Beijing has warned Washington not to use dialogue as a tactic for coercion as senior US and Chinese officials prepare to hold talks this weekend in Switzerland, in the first face-to-face discussions since the start of the latest trade war. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will meet with China’s top economic official, Vice-Premier He Lifeng later this week in Switzerland.

AnsarAllah stays with its core message. Israel must stop its carnage against the Palestinians before the Houthi’s will stop supporting the Palestinians. No messaging from Oman can change that. Trump gaslighted to no effect. It was not the Houthis who cried … it was the United States who cried and declared victory. It is easy for the Houthis to promise to stop shooting missiles at US vessels because there will no longer be any US vessels in the Red Sea says Larry Johnson.

There is much wailing in the Israeli media. Apparently Trump did not let them know that he is pulling the US operation in the Red Sea. Three jets down now, two of them fell in the drink and one of them was shot down by friendly fire.

‼️ Indian army conducted precision strike on “terrorist camps” in Pakistan. India carried out missile attacks on 9 locations, hit “terrorist” infrastructure in Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Army’s official page on X posts “Justice is Served” referring to New Delhi’s attacks on Pakistan; calling it Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan closes its airspace to all incoming flights for 48 hours following India missile strike. Pakistan military preparing “immediate, swift” response to Indian missile strike. Pakistani missiles have been launched toward India in response to its missile strike. Pakistani media: 2 Indian aircrafts downed by Pakistan – over Kashmir airspace (take with salt).

The strikes are aimed at “terrorist camps” and not at the Pakistani armed forces, New Delhi has said. Indian army has just downed a Pakistanian JF-17 fighter jet above airspace of Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir region.

Fighting has erupted along at least 2 points of the Line of Contact in Kashmir, according to local police (take with salt). Whether this is initiated by Pakistan, India, or non-government forces is not yet clear. Islamabad says two mosques were destroyed in Indian missile strikes on Pakistan.

There are Drone Strikes and plenty of them every night into Russia as the preparation to May 9th, Victory Day in Russia, continues. I do hope Russia’s security forces are in top form!

Russian air defenses destroyed 105 Ukrainian drones overnight.  32 drones intercepted over Bryansk Oblast, 22 over Voronezh Oblast, 19 over the Moscow region, 10 over Penza Oblast, 9 over Kaluga Oblast, 6 over Belgorod Oblast.  2 drones each downed over Lipetsk and Samara Oblasts, and one each over Vladimir, Kursk, and Rostov Oblasts.

▪️Over 140 Russian civilians injured and 15 killed in Ukrainian attacks over the past week, making it “the bloodiest week of the year,” said Rodion Miroshnik.

That’s gotta sting for Friedrich Merz.  Merz, leading the CDU/CSU, didn’t secure enough votes to become Germany’s Chancellor in the initial ballot. Israel? Israel is bombing south Lebanon NOW.  There is absolutely NO WAY Israel is doing this alone. NATO and the US and possibly some Arab states are covering targets for Israel.

On the one hand, Marwa says this is World War III.  On the other, she says, this isn’t war.
It’s a U.S.-backed regional extermination project with Tel Aviv as its launchpad.
And yes, the world is watching… and doing nothing.

About half an hour ago local time (around 3pm), the Israeli army issued a warning to all those present in the Sana’a International Airport area to evacuate IMMEDIATELY. More bombing incoming.

UPDATE: Initial reports indicate that Israel has bombed the departures and arrivals terminal, and several civilian airliners on the runways.
