The US privately put aside its tough public stance by accepting indirect talks, limited to sanctions and nuclear issues.
The US also accepted the indirect negotiations to be held in Oman, Iran’s preferred location.
Still there’s a very long road ahead.
The Iranian comments are: Iran-US negotiations in Omani capital Muscat has ended for today and will continue next week. The Iran Foreign Ministry announced that talks were held in a positive, constructive atmosphere and based on mutual respect. The U.S. delegation did not repeat its earlier demands about Iran’s missile program and ending its support for regional groups, and the discussions were limited only to the ‘nuclear file’.
