My journey through music

My journey through music

I like to share my experiences with others, so also my musical experience with you. Please feel free to comment with your experiences and share what may connect nicely with what I write and share in terms of music.

Part 1: Personal life phases

Part 2: Unexpected Wonders

Part 3: Enthusiasm is Contagious

Music is wonderful to listen to and regularly you see musicians or their audiences enjoying and enthusiastic to the point where it becomes even more fun. Sometimes I don’t even think the music is that beautiful or well presented, but it is enjoyable to watch nonetheless.

School of Rock

Youth is the future. Actually, every child should get in touch with music and preferably learn to play an instrument. Just to have the experience and to understand the wonder of music. That drummer …

How appropriate is the following song “The Final Countdown” for this time. Pay special attention to the young lady on the keyboard. Wonderful energy radiating from her. Doesn’t matter how good it is, it is children and young people who create the world.

Music you don’t have to understand

I can’t understand anything in the following video, but not only is the song delivered and sounds good to my ears, the interaction of the girl with the judges and the presenter with the girl’s mother is heartwarming to see.

Emma is from my country and she sings a French song, a language that few people here can understand. The audience is beautifully portrayed and you can see how they sympathize. People are capable of so much beauty.

Versatility

I love almost all genres and easily listen to everything mixed together. So it’s pretty hard to choose what to share here. Besides, tastes differ and I don’t know anyone who only likes half of what I listen to.

Then a very beautiful lady who always has a fantastic smile. She has a sound all her own, maybe takes some getting used to. I am so enjoying listening to this as I write this third part. Consequently, I cannot sit still.

Healing sounds

Our bodies literally respond directly to sounds. Music does something to us and it can have a healing effect. Headaches can disappear like snow in the sun. We can be calmed by music and we can be energized by it.

An absolute favorite in my playlist is Kitaro. I hope you can enjoy the music I have shared in this third section. Try it out. Search further. Discover. It’s a good distraction from all the hassle in the world. What energy do you (want to) bring into the world?

The encore

Give yourself a moment to listen and watch this concert. Look at those faces and see how happy they are and how they are doing their best. Their parents, of course, are incredibly proud. The conductor is proud. I am proud.

Have fun watching and especially listening. Try to feel the music in your body. Get into the music. Allow yourself to be carried away on the waves that connect human beings to the divine world around us. Surrender and be one.

Thank you so much for this, Nico – you just made my day! One of these healing/calming standouts for me is when ‘Van the Man’ celebrated his 70th birthday, live from Cyprus Avenue in Belfast – just a few blocks away from the Harland and Wolff Shipyard where the Titanic… Read more »
