Senior Russian diplomat Andrey Rudenko said Russia is to give military help to North Korea if it comes under attack. Clauses to that effect are contained in the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and North Korea.

Apparently North Korea is closing the border and breaking down roads leading to the border.

North Korea has issued a high alert to its artillery units near the border, directing them to be ready to launch fire at a moment’s notice. According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), preliminary instructions were given to the units on Saturday, with eight artillery brigades ordered to achieve fire readiness status by 8 PM Sunday. This move is reportedly in response to South Korean drones crossing the border.

Serbia is considering joining the BRICS group of emerging economies as an alternative to European Union membership, Vice Premier Aleksandar Vulin revealed in an interview with Berliner Zeitung.  Serbia will definitely attend the BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan this month, Vulin said, adding that it would be irresponsible not to explore all possibilities, including BRICS membership.

If BRICS is attractive to other countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia or Turkey, why should Serbia’s situation be any different, he asked, stressing that there was no doubt that BRICS had become a real alternative to the EU.

This is the first time in the Ukrainian conflict, that I can see the end.  It was never really in doubt that Russia would win, but now the end is near.  How this is going to end is at question.  Nobody really wants to speak with Zelenski, (even Scholz from Germany – Germany will no longer send heavy military equipment to Ukraine, according to sources in the German Defense Ministry. “The transfer is complete,” an internal document reads. Berlin believes that Ukraine will not be able to launch a counteroffensive in the near future).  Nobody really knows if Zelenski is the leader of Ukraine or not.  There is nobody to talk to, except the US and I don’t see Russia at all keen to talk.  Russia says according to the Ukrainian constitution the whole Ukrainian governmental structure is now illegal.  The so-called 2nd peace summit was canceled – ‘postponed indefinitely’.  Ukraine does still receive money and weapons, but only those that suit the military-industrial complex.

It is a very dangerous phase after the abject failure (although with damage to Russian civilians) of Ukraine’s attempt to invade Russia in the border areas, commonly referred to as Kursk.  There are still battles and clean-up going on there.

Desperation from the west to win at all costs may now include conversations on flying the nukes.

However, I don’t think Russia has met all its objectives fully.  Rather than denazify, we had an experience of Nazis crawling out everywhere all over Europe – so the problem in reality is much bigger than what I thought initially.  (They don’t call themselves that).  Demilitarization can only happen completely if Ukraine does not receive weapons from the West and there still are weapons being supplied.   NATO is trying its best to be relevant and is attempting to reconfigure itself in the Far East.  Those three objectives are not fully met and we still do not know what Russia is going to do, to meet these in full.  In the meantime, they are walking all over Ukraine, taking village after village, and as far as the war is concerned, it has not only changed into a war of terrorism but also into a longer war of attrition.  But in my view, the end is in sight militarily, unless Russia decides to move on further West.

48 countries and Netanyahu now believes he can instruct the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to withdraw peacekeepers from the war zone in southern Lebanon ‘for their own safety’. The only threat to these peacekeepers is Netanyahu himself.

“Mr Secretary General, get the UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon) forces out of harm’s way. It should be done right now, immediately,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted in a video message released by his office. (Hitler redux and that tells a story in itself).

The UN force in Lebanon has nearly 11,000 soldiers and civilian staff from 48 countries. They are deployed under the UN Security Council resolution of March 1978.

Mr Putin’s comment on Gaza and I quote from memory:  ‘… looking at the photos of bloodied children, you clench your fists as tears well in your eyes. There is no other way to put it.’

There are two actions of Putin that speak volumes.  He will not speak with Benjamin Netanyahu.  Years ago, we heard that Russia would speak to anyone and that may have been accurate at the time.  Putin will also not speak with Olaf Scholz on brokering peace in Ukraine.  So is this meaningful that Mr Putin won’t speak to these two?  Yes, it is.   It tells them and the world that they are irrelevant and possibly have only a short time left to play their role.   Given Russia’s careful relations with Israel in the past because of the Russian Jews that live there, this message carries huge relevance.   Tie this up with the next watch list item.

Serious Watch List Item:  Iran’s President upon arrival back home in Tehran said:

“My meeting with Russia’s President lasted an hour. We discussed the bilateral agreements and expediting implementation of projects. We also discussed more active role by Russia on regional developments and serious reaction to Israeli crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.”

This is beginning to look like a further takeover, or alternatively, a takedown of the United Nations. This is not israel alone, but the US and so-called allies as well, with many signs of alphabet agencies being very active. This has worked from them before as their media weapon is still very powerful. There is a massive effort of the western media to try and whitewash israel again, against word opinion and action.   Israel has been mocking the UN since Netanyahu’s speech at the General Assembly. Perhaps the UN gets disassembled for us as part of the world divergence, and this is a watchlist item.

⚡️ On October 10, a Merkava tank shelled a watchtower of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, located near the town of Naqoura, not far from the Blue Line that separates Israel and Lebanon. Two peacekeepers were injured as a result.

Israeli forces also shelled several other UN positions. In a public statement, a spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force condemned these attacks as deliberate, emphasising that they constitute a gross violation of international humanitarian law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resignation of Anatoly Antonov from the post of Russian Ambassador to the United States. I am quite sad as he did his job in a pragmatic way. Smoothie says his expectation is that he will not be replaced in the US. There will only be the functional tasks of a consultate carried out in the US. If one starts removing your ambassadors and envoys, times are scary.

Trump, and I’m going to make a prediction and state a preference. Trump is acting as if he is the president of the US. He has stepped into the role. We will see what happens with the election and there I do not want to speculate. Trump is running a massive campaign, and it is clear in the campaign strategy that he is visiting all kinds and types of groupings in the US, trying to get them all to love him. It is good strategy, yet, it is made up of lies. Currently he is doing his rounds at the Gays for Trump grouping. My prediction is that he will also stump at the Arabs for Trump, at the Palestinians for Trump, and whatever else he can gin up.

They have even brought out the son of the deposed Shah of Iran to make speeches, who is now supposedly so ready to take over Iran and make it a democracy. The US is losing West Asia.

We cannot take Trump seriously as he will say anything to bring in the votes.

I have a preference and this is that the US must fall in some way or another (economically, socially) and Canada should follow. This is in no way grounded in a sense of payback, or schadenfreude. This empire must fall, because it is unwilling to let go of empire and will kill you and me for its inherent self-taught superiority, supremacy and exceptionalism. It is simply a preference for self-protection and for the rest of the world to be able to continue with productively building our world.

The information about seven phone calls between Putin and Trump after the latter left the US presidency is false, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated in a comment for Russia’s RBC channel.

Bob Woodward, US journalist, claimed it in his new book, “War”, now advertised aggressively by the mainstream US media.

Trump’s statements that under his administration, Russia, China and the United States were close to concluding a deal on complete denuclearization, do not correspond to reality, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

“It is well known that the attempts of the Trump administration to put the Chinese delegation, Chinese representatives, at the same negotiating table with us were not successful,” he stressed.

Earlier, Trump said that the three countries “were close to a deal on getting rid of nuclear weapons.” The planned deal envisaged further expansion to other countries.

BRICS – it is around the corner – October 22 to 24 – a week and a half to go. The stated objective is that the BRICS Summit in Kazan will focus on strengthening political, security, economic, cultural, and humanitarian partnerships while promoting collective actions to address global challenges.

Tomorrow, the 11th, the Russian Finance Minister, Anton Siluanov, will present the results of the Russia’s BRICS Chairship on the financial track at the final Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors.

BRICS now comprises ten nations: Brazil🇧🇷, Russia🇷🇺, India🇮🇳, China🇨🇳, South Africa🇿🇦, Egypt🇪🇬, Iran🇮🇷, the United Arab Emirates🇦🇪, Saudi Arabia🇸🇦, and Ethiopia🇪🇹.

Invitations to the summit were sent to 38 states, and 32 of them have already confirmed they will be participating, with 24 to be represented by their top officials. The number of attendees might grow further.

The motto of Russia’s BRICS chairmanship is Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security.

BRICS is gradually — brick by brick, as it were — building a bridge to a more democratic and just world order, Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said. BRICS is an entity that cannot be ignored.

Combined, the ten member states of BRICS encompass over 30% of the Earth’s land surface, 45% of the world’s population, over 40% global oil production, and about 25% of global goods exports. By 2028, the GDP of BRICS will account for 37% of the global total. BRICS is the epitome of multipolarity.

The activity plan of Russia’s BRICS chairmanship is aimed at integrating new member states into the existing layered cooperation structure of BRICS and its established culture as smoothly as possible. The plan includes 250 meetings, forums, and other thematic events. As of mid-October, it has been implemented by 80 percent.

A special focus is given to financial cooperation. Russia’s Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Russia are in discussion with BRICS partners to create a pan-BRICS financial platform, special clearing infrastructure, as well as a BRICS reinsurance company. When launched, those will help to expand trade in national currencies and reduce costs incurred in international trade.
