๐Ÿ”ธThe discussion focused on current issues relating to the further growth of the Russian-Brazilian strategic partnership. The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual interest in building up political dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, agriculture, energy and industrial cooperation.

๐Ÿ”ธThey also touched upon several international issues. Vladimir Putin thanked our Brazilian partners for supporting the priorities of Russiaโ€™s BRICS chairmanship and briefed the other party on preparations for the BRICS summit in Kazan scheduled for October 22โ€“24. Both sides underscored their commitment to continuing joint work in key areas of cooperation within BRICS, including in the financial sector. They also emphasised readiness to deepen coordination both in the G20, which Brazil chairs this year, and on other multilateral platforms.

๐Ÿ”ธLuiz Inacio Lula da Silva reaffirmed Brazilโ€™s interest in helping find solutions to resolve the Ukraine conflict, and Vladimir Putin laid out Russiaโ€™s principled assessments on this matter.

๐Ÿ”ธThe leaders discussed bilateral contact schedule and agreed to meet during the Kazan BRICS summit.
