War on Iran – 9
It is a good time to refresh this post. We are a time that may or may not be a watershed moment. We wait for Iran at this stage. There is nothing certain. The latest Iranian notification that we’ve received is that there is a Memorandum of Understanding on the cards, but there is also disagreement. And in the background bloodsoaked Bibi has a big say.
Please make a point to listen to Prof Hudson and Wolff today on Nima’s show and we have an early transcript. In reality, nothing has changed on the side of empire excepting perhaps a timeline.

Baghaei: No final agreement reached yet
🔹Foreign ministry spokesman Baghaei stated: “Qatar and Pakistan remain active as mediators, but the diplomatic process has been impacted by US actions.”
🔹”The negotiation status was clear to us from the beginning. The majority of the text had been finalized, but the Americans kept changing their positions. Iran has proven it will not be lenient on its defined red lines.”
🔹”Claims about an agreement are mere speculation—nothing has been finalized. Iran has not reached a final conclusion on any deal.”
🔹He added that the Strait of Hormuz has become more insecure due to US actions, and the diplomatic process has been negatively affected by Washington’s illegal aggression against Iran.
🔹”Mediators remain active, and we have communicated our positions to them with complete transparency.”

“The Sinners”: A cinematic dissection of Trumpism
Beyond its horror surface, the film “The Sinners” offers a powerful allegory of enduring US ills: racism, wealth manipulation, and historical amnesia. A vampire dripping with gold merges with an armed, racist couple—evoking Trump’s fortune fused with bigoted nationalism. Their target: a Black community whose only weapons are tradition, faith, and cultural memory.
The film subverts classic tropes—even holy scripture fails against evil, showing how religion can be weaponized. Ultimately, “The Sinners” portrays Trumpism not as an anomaly but as the latest face of a deep, predatory American tradition. Resistance is costly, but dignity demands it.

Gharibabadi: Military aggression cannot be legitimized by word games in international law
🔹Iran’s deputy foreign minister stated: “The new US attacks against targets on Iranian soil are further proof of blatant aggression against Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and national security—as well as a massive violation and nullification of the ceasefire.”
🔹”Describing these attacks as ‘self-defense,’ as claimed by the terrorist CENTCOM entity, has no legal effect. In international law, an aggressor cannot escape the consequences of its actions by changing the label. Military aggression cannot be legitimized by word games.”
🔹”Our brave armed forces will stand against any aggression and defend every inch of our land with a decisive, authoritative, and regretful response. The consequences will be borne by the US and any party that participates, facilitates, or assists.”

Consistency among solid commentators is as follows:
About the so-called agreement, there are two things that seem most realistic. First, it may be nothing more than a deception for the markets, and the U.S. will launch aggression once again. Second, the destruction of the Jordanian base has somehow altered their calculations. We must wait for reality to unfold, but the first possibility remains the more likely one, as usual.
