Visceral Toxic Miasma: A Morning Briefing from the Circus
Dear Readers,
Do not—under any circumstances—get your hopes up. The longer-term struggle begins precisely now, on schedule, as advertised.
What’s unfolding is elegant in its brutality: the US will “shave” Iran’s 10 points (or attempt to, with the precision of a blunt axe). If you pray, now is the time to pray for wisdom for Iran. Or perhaps for the rest of us, who must watch this unfold with eyes wide open.
It is a full toxic circus in the US this morning. They are spraying rhetoric across us as if we are a field of crops—susceptible, pliable, already blighted. We are not the farmers. We are the harvest but we cannot remain simply the harvest.
And let us not pretend Israel’s renewed shelling into Lebanon is spontaneous. It is choreography. There is not a modicum of willingness from the US to make peace with anyone on this earth. We need to feel this. Over 300 killed and injured across Lebanon overnight. Please, spare me the script that this is “Israel alone.” It is so planned. From the beginning, Israel declined the 2-week ceasefire; the Trump administration knew this. They pass the blame like a hot potato wrapped in a flag. One to the other. A perfect handoff.
“We will continue striking the Hezbollah terror organization and will utilize every operational opportunity. We will not compromise the security of the residents of northern Israel. We will continue to strike with determination.” IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir
(Translation: The circus has no intermission.)
This USRael strategy has been visible for years. Remember the Gaza Peace Plan? Ah, yes. Circus announcement. Bridal Confetti. Then the killing resumed, right on cue.
And now—a plot twist!—a third contender has won the war. Did you miss the memo? It’s the UAE. They won. Apparently, victory is now awarded by press release.

Meanwhile, an oil refinery on Iran’s Lavan Island and Siri Island docks were bombed. The sites, located off Iran’s southern coast, were struck just hours into the fragile US-Iran ceasefire. Fragile, like a promise made in bad faith.
In retaliation, Iran launched rocket attacks on the UAE and Kuwait, per Iranian media. The cycle spins. The miasma thickens.
Here is the difficult truth, if we are to remain rational: THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND. There is no negotiating with the demonically insane. There is only the choice to witness, or to look away.
And the toxicity from the US pours down like a tropical deluge. With Trump, we are back to tariffs—I kid you not. Back to his “15 points” that have “already been agreed.” See what I mean by “shaving Iran’s 10 points”? There is no recognition of Iran as a sovereign entity, only as a force to be controlled. A country supplying weapons to Iran will be “hit with 50% tariffs.” And suddenly—poof!—yesterday’s rhetoric evaporates: Iran will not be allowed to enrich uranium.
And then, the pièce de résistance. When ABC News asked Trump about Iran imposing tolls on the Strait of Hormuz, he replied: “We’re thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It’s a way of securing it. It’s a beautiful thing.” A beautiful joint venture in maritime coercion. Shakespeare couldn’t have written it sharper.
Assassinations are back in vogue. Ceasefires are theatrical pauses. And Pete Hegseth (Dollar Store Templar) informs us that Iran BEGGED for this ceasefire. “Together with our Israeli partners America’s military achieved every single objective, on plan, on schedule, exactly as laid out from day one.”
He then reads aloud a list of people they killed in Iran. A roll call of the departed, delivered with the cheer of a sports announcer.
“God deserves all the glory. Tens of thousands of sorties, refuelings, and strikes, carried out under the protection of divine providence. A massive effort with miraculous protection.”
Miraculous, indeed. Hegseth then asks markets and the world to ignore reality and declare commerce through the Strait of Hormuz is “flowing”—as if the war never happened. As if the dead never were. Look for the clip. A Daily Wire reporter loses it on camera over Israel still being bombed during the “ceasefire.” The circus eats its own.

Do you see progress? I only see the miasma. We can analyze all day. But what will not change is this: it is the same trajectory as the “Spirit of Anchorage” talks with Russia. The same as the Gaza Peace Deal—announced, applauded, abandoned. Two examples. There are more.
Are people beginning to understand this?
The idea is abundant, fertile war.
We are being poisoned. Our calm natures cannot remain calm. Our basic pragmatism cannot remain pragmatic. Our fledgling attempts to reach out, to understand, to accept—are being dissolved in acid. Our humanity is being dismantled, piece by piece, with a smile, rarara, and a press release.
There is no more middle ground. There is no more reach for being good humans. There is only this: the choice to feel it, or to become part of the miasma.
