The Aframax tanker Karachi, carrying Abu Dhabi’s Das crude, has become the first non-Iranian cargo to transit the chokepoint while broadcasting its AIS signal, suggesting that select shipments may be receiving negotiated safe passage.

According to #MarineTraffic data, the 237-metre crude oil tanker entered the Iranian Exclusive Economic Zone on 15 March at 11:33 and crossed the Strait of Hormuz at 14:43.  Times are UTC.   The vessel is currently sailing in the Gulf of Oman at around 9.6 knots, having successfully passed through the strait with AIS active.

Trump is now begging NATO to help open the Strait of Hormuz threatening that he helped them with Ukraine and ‘NATO will have a very bad future’ should NATO not help with unblocking Hormuz.  There is of course much trolling and a suggestion for Trump is why does he not call on the Israeli Navy to ‘open the straits’)?

The Iran war consists of AI, says Trump. According to him, the “Fake Media” is cooperating with Iran, everything is AI, and media outlets should be charged with treason. (How about if you cannot win a war, then win an imaginary one). “They showed about 250,000 people in a square saying how much they love (Ayatollah) Khamenei. Totally AI generated. Jared Kushner is reportedly seeking about $5B for his firm Affinity Partners, courting sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, the New York Times reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Riyadh alone has already poured $2B into the fund.

Affinity Partners, founded in 2021, manages $5B+ and holds stakes tied to Israel’s defense sector, including companies connected to Elbit Systems and Israel Shipyards.
