Widely distributed in the western media :  Venezuela shipped their first oil to Israel.

NOT SO FAST!  Here is the actual situation:

Trump’s twisting Venezuela’s hand to attempt to turn US into a ‘petro-empire’, and with that restoring the petro-dollar.

Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA has reversed most output cuts, pushing the nation’s oil production close to 1 million barrels per day (bpd), according to Reuters.

🔴 Having kidnapped Venezuela’s legitimate President Nicolas Maduro, the Trump administration is trying to boost the nation’s oil production under its control

🔴 The US completed its first $500 million sale of Venezuelan oil in mid‑January, fetching about 30% higher prices than Venezuela did under Maduro. (Under sanctions, Venezuela sold to intermediaries at discounted prices).

🔴 Washington forced Venezuela into passing hydrocarbons law reforms in late January to open the oil sector to private and foreign firms

🔴 The US continues to hunt Venezuelan oil tankers: on February 9, the US military seized the Aquila II in the Indian Ocean, the eighth vessel captured since last year

🔴 The Pentagon is maintaining its blockade on other oil vessels leaving and entering Venezuela, curbing the nation’s sovereign oil trade

🔴 Trump has urged US oil companies to mobilize up to $100 billion to revamp Venezuela’s oil sector in as few as 18 months

By controlling energy sales, the US aims to reinforce the dollar’s dominance, selling hydrocarbons for greenbacks.  The US also keeps Venezuela under financial control as any revenue goes to US companies and from there they dole out pennies to Venezuela that in turn must be spent in the US.  “Donroe Doctrine” on steroids.

Max Blumenthal reports that the US holds a secret indictment on Delcy Rodríques, similar to the secret indictment that they held on Julian Assange: US holds secret indictment of Delcy Rodriguez, top opposition journo claims

We are waiting for a very brilliant article (I’ve seen a draft so I know it is brilliant), on the fact that the Monroe Doctrine claims the entire planet as America’s sphere of influence and the fall-out in terms of law.   Most of last year I repeated:  “We cannot live with this empire any longer”.  This year and so far, the repetitive phrase is:  “Gird Up!  We are in a Great Fight.”

Trump – India continues to import oil from Russia. “Now they’re buying very little. They’ve greatly reduced their purchases,” – stated the US President.

Yet Russia reports that there has been no reduction in deliveries to India and India has not reported anything of reduced oil trade to Russia.

The WSJ reports:  U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal that Trump administration officials discussed seizing additional oil tankers carrying Iranian oil to put pressure on Tehran, but backed away from the idea because of concerns about a near-certain backlash and its impact on global oil markets.

(WSJ. Reuters, Al Jazeera and others, must be taken with some grains of salt).

Americans dislike the UN because it requires persuading someone and seeking compromise — Lavrov in an interview with Empatiya Manuchi:  ‘They want to organize and decide everything.”

And possibly, the most disturbing statement:  “We cannot see any chance of denuclearization.  ‘We cannot speak of denuclearization while on the horizon there is the United States’ nuclear cooperation with South Korea and likely even Japan”.

Iran still is top of the pops in the media, shortly behind Epstein, which continues to produce.

We don’t know how accurate the following report is.  It may be planted against China but it certainly is a watch-list item.

The lack of US strikes against Iran and the increasing deployment of US military forces in the Middle East are increasingly being linked to China’s intelligence and network support for Iran, as well as the Chinese scientific radar vessel “Ocean No. 1.”

Following the deployment of the Type 055 destroyer and the Type 052 destroyer in the Oman Sea region to escort the research vessel’s reconnaissance ship, Western military experts believe that “Ocean No. 1” is likely tracking the movements of US Navy ships and submarines and sharing this information with Iran. Coupled with the fact that China is photographing and publishing satellite images of U.S. bases in the Middle East, there is no possibility of a surprise attack, which makes it even more difficult for the U.S. and Israel to launch a strike without casualties.

The sheer size of Iranian humanity marching in the streets to to commemorate the anniversary of the revolution’s victory is breathtaking.  The estimate is that 23 to 26 million people took part in today’s Islamic Revolution rallies across Iran –  Every city is involved and all of the Iranian leadership take part in the marches.  You won’t see any of this in western media as they cannot afford to.  Speaking to Press TV, Patrick Henningen said if the huge turnout of Iranians supporting their government were covered by Western media, their leaders would have to reevaluate their stereotypes of Iran.

Colombia’s President Petro says that he survived an assassination attempt this week.  This would be the second one.  He states that he had to flee by sea as his planned helicopter landing site was compromised.   He reports that he was under pressure of his life when visiting the US for a summit with Trump.

“The highest security is peace and dialogue between civilizations”

🇨🇴Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated that he intends to speak at the Munich Security Conference to widely publicize the message he conveyed to Donald Trump.

“I will deliver an opening speech at this conference on peace and global security in Munich, Germany. Commanders and prime ministers from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Arab world will be present. I will try to convey the same message of the ‘Pact for Life’ that I sent to Trump. The race is not for missiles; the race is for life. The highest security is peace and dialogue between civilizations.”

Africa, mainly North of the Sahara is blowing up in spots. The detail level is difficult to clearly represent as there are so many groups and insurgents and so many border and tribal uncertainties as a result of colonialism.  Femi Akomolafe on Nigeria:

In a response to an analysis, he says: “….. American intervention might start from the North, but why would it end there?”  He asks:  ‘Would Americans put boots on the ground, as they say, and do they think that a few Tomahawks tame the type of insurgencies we have in Nigeria?’  It is reported that there are 200 American boots on the ground in Nigeria alone under the guise of ‘saving the Christians’.
