Talk shows are talk shows and Russian talk shows are talk shows
Andrei Martyanov writes an explanatory piece on Russian Talk Shows, which is necessary reading. Gilbert Doctorow, whom I certainly had some words about in the past, enters the arena again.
Read the complete short piece at Andrei’s blog. We summarize here:
Russian “Talk Shows” Are Just That …
… shows–as in any talk show in the West the main task is to create a shouting match between the guests and not to find the truth. Those hosts, from Solovyov, to Skabeeva with her hubby, to others are complete hacks who have been exposed by SMO as people who are not in complete agreement with their heads and also played a significant role in promoting a 404 fifth column in Russia, while in reality giving a vehicle to either outright or shadow assets of SBU and other intel orgs.
He continues to explain the ‘root causes’ of Doctorow’s current rage.
As Sir Bernard Pares wrote about Russia 90 years ago:
“And knowledge alone is not enough without understanding, which is much more hardly won. To no country does this apply more than to Russia….This gap has to be filled, or will it cost us dear.”
It is so that Russia is infested with various levels of 5th columns. This is perhaps why Professor Karaganov and others find it so difficult to define a Russian Idea-Dream in a short vision statement. I’ve had commentary during the past week or so, that this overall objective is why President Putin set together a formal organization on ethnic affairs. I’ve had further comment that the Russian history between the period of Bolshevikism and now what looks like capitalism is not yet well integrated in the Russia civilization community. Like China, Russia is rolling their own, and wrestling with historical contradictions in order to flow that into a civilizational statement of vision, ethics and morals. It is an age-old question. “Who am I?”
Beyond Andrei’s take-down of the hack Russian talk shows, there are a few others that need to be mentioned. I don’t like to disrespect others, but please ignore Paul Craig Roberts on Russian issues. There is no need to be unkind, but quietly ignore. A broken clock may be correct twice a day, but it is not enough for our current world. Understanding takes time and effort, and most of all, an inquisitive spirit initially starting with Tabula Rasa, and intent on staring a truth in the face, no matter how uncomfortable.
We also see from another vector extreme criticism against Russia continuing, and that is Syria. Yes, we lost Syria to the hegemon, as is demonstrated in the US media today, where we have a prologue of the whitewash of Netanyahu through Ahmad Al-Sharaa, who, with a name change, a smart suit, and years of special British tutoring, became a western darling. It is painful to this day but we’ve had prologue on instituting leaders for others before. “The United States recognizes Interim President Juan Guaidó as the legitimate President of Venezuela. ” This will harshly expose the non-existent respect from the Trump team to their proxies. Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa: “At the end of our meeting, President Trump gifted me a red MAGA hat”. One could feel sorry for the upgraded Takfiri who will probably meet his end as other proxies met theirs with something sharp entering where no-one wants something sharp.
Russia did not lose Syria for us. The hegemon won this round, and that’s all. Overall, I am very concerned about the continual ‘Greater Israel’ encroachment in the entire West Asia region. Currently, the pressure is being withstood by Russia, China, and others at the UN Security Council. A positive picture is not emerging, but again, we must face this truth. Months ago, we had this little comment from Trump that we saw in one of the many gaggles with prestitute geese. Trump looked down at a map, and almost wistfully, with a childlike rapture on his face lifted his gaze and said: “Israel looks so small on the map.” That comment rang the bell. The hegemon wants to own everything. With evangelical passion, it wants zionist-israel to own West Asia.
From this point onwards, we can start talking about strategic regions, the confluence of trade routes, and the cradle of western civilization, once known as the fertile crescent. Then we can again talk about the level of brutality as illustrated and owned among hegemon and zionist and nazi and for that matter fascist. Again, we’ve had prologue.
Today, I want to talk about a future vision.
The world is changing. The Fertile Crescent is now mainly desert. Wars are desertifying areas that were not previously desert. Whatever the hegemon wants to win, this garden will be sand. The region owns oil. But the world is changing. While it will take years, hydrocarbons will be replaced by other forms of energy propulsion. The importance of trade routes is changing. The Belt and Road Initiative, the Northern Passage, The NorthSouth corridor and the old passage around South Africa are gaining prominence. You cannot fill up your jet, seagoing transportation vessel, or one of the many vehicles in China’s low-altitude economy at your local petrol gas station. Propulsion will be built into the vessel or vehicle. This is the next phase of EVs. Like a tortoise, we will carry our zoom with us.

China’s automakers soar into low-altitude economy. China’s low-altitude economy is expected to reach 3.5 trillion yuan ($487.5 billion) by 2035, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Attracted by this massive market, Chinese automotive manufacturers are rapidly expanding into the low-altitude economy sector. Several automakers have entered the flight-testing phase of their flying cars. The Govy AirCab represents a multi-rotor flying car design, with the upper section functioning as an aircraft and the lower section operating as a conventional vehicle. Its dual-mode system enables both ground-based intelligent driving and aerial flight. It is ideal for short-distance commuting and sightseeing.
To tie all this up back to Andrei Martyanov’s critique on Talk Shows, specifically Russian Talk Shows, when did you last see one of these discussing the fast-developing low-altitude economy? These Shows are like Neanderthals and dodos, trying to make sense of a world that is fast disappearing with the tools of this fast-disappearing world. China is building a low-altitude, next floor up for humanity. Imagine owning your real estate now in the low-altitude economy, where the Earth’s first floor is taking shape. Indeed, the sky is the new limit.
