I’m Patrick Lancaster, reporting from the Kursk region, where Russian forces have pushed out Ukrainian troops and encountered foreign mercenaries on the battlefield. In this frontline report, we hear what Russian soldiers have to say about POWs, including Americans and Polish and how Russia views captured foreign fighters under international law.
If you listen to the emphasis from both Patrick and the Russian soldiers, we can take it that these ‘Amerikanski’ were not mercenaries, but soldiers. This is one of the reasons why Trump asked to treat them humanely. Well, at least in this area they are dead.
