Update – May 31

We are doing a few things. If you click on the search icon, you will find an improved search engine. It does work from top to bottom and I’m finding posts that I’ve forgotten are on the site. Try it, consider it is still in test and kindly let me know if it frustrates you. I like it, but then again, I’ve figured out how to use it.

Another new development. We’ve had for a while a China Writer’s Group forum on a free site, just to see how it wanted to develop. The decision now is to include it in GlobalSouth.co, but as a sub-directory, in other words almost an independent site. Soon we will have a new forum including the work of these intrepids. What remains to be done is to bring the old work into the new forum, and I hope that it could be completed in about two weeks.

The new registrations are still closed in that this allowed anyone to set up auto registrations. Please write me at the contact button and I’ll register you with pleasure. It is better at this time to keep this as a manual job.

Do remember to check at the Telegram channel on the freestanding commenting groups, https://t.me/GlobalSouthCo/46. Earthnet.net and a few others are regularly forwarding their content. Also remember that there is a wild and persistent effort going on now to silence everyone talking about the Palestinians. If we should be interrupted at the main site, that is our gathering spot.

The end of the month donations are coming in. Thank you so much for the Bitcoin donation. I do see it! In this coming month I’ll call for new donations but those that regularly donate should kindly ignore that call. There are prayers for you all the time, as I know it is difficult for some. I do trust we can maintain the human touch at GlobalSouth.co, even though we are growing.

Thank you so much for the wise commenting. So far we have managed to run a relatively moderation free shop, without falling into mass commenting chaos. Please know that it is much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the donations that are coming in. Blessings! I appreciate it deeply as I now can pay a young tech incase we need technical support. Most of your donations I personally respond to, but sometimes it takes a while before I get there.

I have closed down the registration page for new members. This is technical – It is easier to handle registrations individually than to deal with autoregistration bots that storm in mass.

Please write me through the contact button if you would like to register. The sane and insane are equally welcome but not mass killers of humanity.

We again have a flood of zionists wanting to join the commenting section.  Please understand that we are like those restaurants that do not give service to IDF soldiers or zionists.  We are like those countries that if they see an IDF soldier (war criminals) we call those that will arrest them.  We are not interested in hearing your lies, nor in your justification of a genocide.  The Palestinians are not Amalek or animals.  You are not God’s chosen, and God did not give you that land, and if he did, I just fired him.  (Now go and wet your pants in hopeless false indignation! and for heaven’s sake, go and educate and get some brain cleaner!)

If there is anyone reasonable lost in this swarm and wanting to join the site or the commenting section and wants to contribute to our conversation, and the system rejects you, please feel free to contact me on the contact tab and let me know.  I am not rejecting the reasonable people, but those who want to storm and are ugly, and you may get lost in that crowd because I do not spend a lot of time, and click one delete button with no compunction.   Understand these bastard swarms use auto processes to swarm, so we use auto processes to delete them.

What days in our world.  We are deep into chaos.

A few site notes. The need for technical support is still critical. There is some wonderful news, though. I received a donation that puts us in a position to tip a tech. Surely there is a motivated tech out there who could lend a hand? Kindly contact me.  I will not list what is necessary now but generally it is work that can be done in your own time and there are no hard and fast deadlines.

Huge thanks and many blessings for the donations that keep coming in.  You are all keeping us alive, advertising-free and independent.

To those who fill out the membership form, please give me an email address that I can work with. If not, you are simply rejected. We are an unmoderated site overall and would like to keep it that way. So, we want to know something about you before we give you access. The rule still is One Strike, and you are out. This allows us to remain unmoderated.

This is not a major update. We are still growing, but the rate has slowed down, and this is a good thing. Personally, I feel a little despondent because the task is huge. But then I receive a wonderful article or a kind note, and motivation soars again. The quality of chat is so excellent! And thank you for that. Thank you for keeping us unmoderated and intelligent.

Thank you so much for the donations.  I try to write a personal note to everyone but sometimes, specifically during the past weekend, I might miss you!  Blessings all!

There was a lovely comment with one of these, which I want to repeat:  “Keep up the good work you, AHH Mr. P and emersonreturn .. and the rest….”.  It is not just me, or AHH, but, all of you!  You are all deeply appreciated.

I am humbled and appreciate your heartfelt note as well as the others, all heartfelt and a source of encouragement!

Downtime this past weekend. 

AHH and I have a continuous joke.  Don’t wanna be famous!  We really only want to do our work.  But, our work has been so widely distributed that it was our turn to have to deal with gremlins in the system.  Please take note of the Telegram channel, as it is there that I will immediately report any gremlins and downtime.  It acts as our first level of backup to remain in communication.  There is a chat channel as well, and it is there that Nico played a motivating song, I think to keep me going through many hours of very little sleep.  He told me that Boots are made for Walking.

I’m convinced that our second level of backup has to be a full backup site, but alas, not enough donations to support that economically .. (dare I say … yet).

For new commentators. 

We are essentially a non-moderated site, but there are rules. I also follow a one-strike-and-you ‘re-out policy as a price for remaining unmoderated.  I don’t need the chaos that non-moderation brings, and I don’t need the policing that is needed to keep some semblance of order in such an environment.

Rules are so simple.  1) Behave responsibly, 2) Don’t fight with writers or fellow commentators, 3) Make your point clearly and be an adult if the response to your comment is not what you want, 4) Yes, rant, but do not take our space and our energy to rant just to get rid of your own frustration.  (Yes, regulars do that sometimes, but they are friends and are allowed!)

Let me give you a glimpse into my world, and you will see why I sometimes sound like the sour end of a sweet and sour candy.  Over the past years, I had to throw out very few commentators.  They leave by themselves.  I do receive nonsense, though, and here was such a bit of nonsense.

Why bother to authorize my comment if you just trash it then dont allow me to reply

Not making any friends denying basic facts and trashing comments and then talking faux free speech rubbish because the guy whose article whom you likely actually know nothing about is your friend. Quit wasting people time. Spent hours trying to reply to you counter comment and it was completely blocked even to access posting. Hurrah you are so liberal and free as long as you dont hear what you dont want to hear.

I don’t know this person, I did not see the comment (there was one with filthy language which the system kicked out), I have not needed to trash comments within the time period and as far as I know, I am not a ‘free speech talker’.  The problem here is situated between the chair and the desk and has a critical case of BS gas. If that filthy comment that the system kicked out was the one, then Viva the System!  The tolerances are very loosely set but there are some.

Recently, the term Situational Citizenship was discussed.  That is where we can take hands above our differences.  It was wonderfully liberating.  I work with those who consciously and with intelligence work for the betterment of humankind, who start in their own backyards, and can demonstrate their care for their own as well as the wider world.  We cannot prosper in an atmosphere of hegemony or in the currently unleashed chaos, only because one country wants to regain its hegemonic crown and does not care who it sacrifices for that objective.

We are growing into a rare and committed group here at GlobalSouth.co.  It is a deep joy!  Let’s keep our heads during the deliberately provoked chaos.
