I cannot but see it as another tactic to give Netanyahu a break as the IDF is in a dead stop at the Northern border, their soldiers get killed and injured don’t want to fight any longer, specifically in Gaza. There is no way that Netanyahu can supposedly ‘meet his war objective’, which was to remove Hezbollah from the map. In this piece there is no mention of ceasefire in Gaza, and as far as I know, Hezbollah will stand firm on that point.

Unless things change, or we have more information, this is further political adventurism to save Netanyahu until Trump takes office.

Hezabollah closed out their tally sheet today with 31 operations. Hezbollah’s targeting operations are pinpoint to the israeli war machine. They don’t kill women and children, although they do attack illegal settlements. In the north, the settlers will not return. In fact more settlements are being denuded of people, either they leave themselves because they cannot stand any longer Hezbollah’s attack, or the israeli government takes them out. We are in the time of israel having ‘won against Hamas and won against Hezbollah’. That is an utter lie.

For today, we do not have yet the combined number from the complete resistance. There is a violent and brutal war.

We heard from one of the israeli channels that Trump said that once he is in, the weapons spigot will be opened. (Israeli channel – they lie). But this one I take seriously. There is a lot of talk about about cease fire. Bear in mind, it will be buying time for Trump to be inaugurated. I do not think anyone in the region will fall for it. Israel wants a short ceasefire.

There are no negotiations.  The talk of progress in negotiations remains, as of today, merely progress in discussions between the Americans and the zionists. They discuss among themselves, decide they are making progress, and then decide to leak to the media that they are advancing. So far, no one has presented any document to the Lebanese side.

Does this mean negotiations are not happening? No, they are ongoing, but for now, they are entirely one-sided. They will remain so until a proposal reaches Beirut.

We have seen this scene repeat time and time again in Gaza. The Americans talk about being close to reaching an agreement. On one occasion, Joe Biden set a date to stop the war (while he was eating ice cream). Each time, the Americans and “israelis” presented surrender terms to the Palestinian resistance, then blamed them for the failure of negotiations. They did so even when Hamas agreed to an American proposal months ago, only for the Americans to backtrack. This happened again when Lebanon agreed to an American-French proposal for a truce to pave the way to halt the war on Lebanon and Gaza (September 25).

Are we witnessing a maneuver? Possibly. The enemy may have decided to escalate the war, not merely as a negotiation card, but because its project is to expand the war.

In conclusion, we should treat statements by the zionists and Americans about progress in negotiations as a maneuver until proven otherwise. This way, we will be surprised by positive developments rather than betting on them and clashing with reality.

What we can rely on is the battlefield, the adaptation of the resistance and its fighters in adapting to the nature of the confrontation, and breaking the enemy’s will on land, at depth, and in politics.
