Memories, Music, Art & Pineapples

I received a wonderful note from A Blue Fella, talking about Ioan, who many will remember from The Saker days.  Our poet, our man who always had the right touch and the right words.  A wonderful artist and this image here is called Summertime in the Forest.  Ioan died and left many of us saddened.  Now and again I come across a piece of art from Ioan, and I remember him, deeply, and with joy!

So, this Blue Fella took some poetry and put it to music.  He writes:

Back in the days of The Saker I promised Ioan that I would put a couple of his poems to music. My oldest son suggested I learn from Udio about AI as he wrote a couple of songs with it.

Here are Ioan’s songs: the first is “Into the Night” kind of like old soul, David Ruffino comes to mind…

The next is Promise of Forever, I let my friend name it, reminiscent of Frankie Knuckles stuff. To be chopped up and “housed”.
I think I will go ahead and finish the album I started so long ago.
Shout out to Dimitar the Australian of Macedonian descent. He was good to Ioan as were you.  Here’s to Ioan!

The music fell on my ears as sweet and uplifting and loving and not heavy, ya know!    It wanted to nourish and refresh me, and left me content.  Enjoy!  Here’s to Ioan, who left loving footsteps on my heart.

I once talked about pineapples and how I love them and how beautiful they grow with the tiny pink baby in the center.  Ioan went and bought one, ate the whole thing, and wrote me a poem!  He had never had pineapple before.  Today I cut the last bit of a sweet one that was in the fridge – first in slices and then cubes and we ate the cold sweet cubed delight with two spoons.   Then I called some friends and ordered another one should they pass a fruit truck on their journeys.  Directly from the farm, not from the supermarket and thought about Ioan, eating a whole pineapple.

Such a nourishing afternoon for me … Lovely!  Thanks Brother Blue!

Such good writing. Listening to three music now. I use a paid program called Band-in-a-Box to use AI to play the rhythm section on jazz tunes… For learning.
