Daily Chronicles – sticky

Following are all the comments for May 20th

1) For the first time in the history of globalsouth.co, I have to ask for donations.

It’s not easy, but it is a have to!  Here is the info and it is a Paypal account.  https://sovereignista.com/donate/

Buymeacoffee is offline at this moment, but I do so appreciate the collective coffee drinking that happened there.  If you have an auto-donation there, please stop it for now!  Soon we will do it, just have to complete accounts and banks and verifications and mad-making stuff.  You should see these guys when I say I need to change telephone number, bank account, marital status and country.   I would much appreciate it if you could help out right now.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Mediators on Ukraine need to consider that Zelensky’s authority expires on May 20.  After this date, signing any documents with him loses its meaning, said Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya.  Russia, has mentioned that they like the Chinese plan for a new peace conference.  We now know why – Zelensky is out of the way.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Word for the day:  Erectionists (Biden says it is those that stormed Capital Hill – all those erectionists – I really did not know what he meant, but they say he meant ‘resurrectionists’, which is equally double-dutch to me.).

OK, we see the erectionists in action lol.  The US again …

U.S. AGAIN THREATENS ICC IF ISRAELI CRIMINALS FACE JUSTICE – Washington is drawing draft legislation as a “precautionary measure” to threaten PROSECUTORS and International Court’s officials against arrest warrants for Israeli officials war criminals.  Congressman Michael McCaul says legislation is being written and ICC prosecutor Khan has been “contacted”.  (They probably tried to threaten the life out the man as we’ve seen previously).  “We want to emphasize to him that going down this road of arrest warrants is a really bad idea and it will blow up the relationship” – McCaul.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

🔹🔹🔹🔹

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Does anyone understand the Indian elections?  I guess all that is needed to understand is that at least 2,354 political parties are registered with the Election Commission of India – an autonomous constitutional body – for the 17th House of the People elections. However, only around 500 of them are expected to field candidates.  And in the 2014 elections, 8,251 candidates from more than 460 political parties contested the elections.  One gets the idea that the current electoral system has burst its banks and is way too small for the number of people who want to vote in India.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

President Raeisi, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azarbaijan Gov. Malek Rahmati, Tabriz Friday Prayer Leader Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, & several other passengers, has been martyred in a helicopter crash in northwest of Iran.

My condolences and sympathy to the Iranian Nation, family and friends of the reported 9 people killed.

Under Raisi, Iran grew economically despite sanctions, joined BRICS, restored relations with Saudi Arabia, signed a 25-year deal with China, conducted a successful military operation against Israel, and defended Palestine as leader of the Axis of Resistance to name just a few achievements.

The multipolar world mourns.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Assange: Julian Assange has just won the right to a full appeal from the UK High Court, granting him the opportunity to present his case again to a British court before any US extradition process can move ahead.  London’s High Court has ruled in favor of Assange, granting the journalist the right to appeal Washington’s extradition request. Two senior British judges overseeing Assange’s case concluded that Washington’s submitted diplomatic assurances were not sufficient and have allowed the appeal against the extradition to move forward.

What this means:  So Julian stays in jail, another appeal goes forward and the process of killing by lawfare continues.  He is an innocent man.  Oh how they torture!  Stella Assange says, “The judges reached the right decision. We spent a long time hearing the US putting lipstick on a pig, but the judges did not buy it. As the family, we are relieved, but how long can this go on? The US should read the situation and drop this case now.”

There is an amount of jubilation going around.  The International Criminal Court (ICC) has announced applications or requests for arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant (Hamas) with regards to the situation in Palestine and Assange won the right to appeal.  People consider this a bit of a win.  We will talk about that.   ICC charges amount to wilful killing / murder, starvation, directing attacks against a civilian population, persecution and other inhumane acts.

What applications or requests mean is that all the judges must agree.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Following are all the comments for May 19th

This is shocking – President Ebrahim Raeisi (Iran):

🔹A helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raeisi (Iran) makes a hard landing in the city of Jolfa in the northwestern Iranian province of East Azarbaijan, reports say.
Bad weather conditions have made it difficult for rescue teams to reach President Raeisi’s copter

And the news is pouring in.  Hopefully, we will soon know what has happened and how President Raeisi is.  The helicopter was transporting President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azarbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, and several other passengers, Press TV writes.

🔹 Oh fer heaven’s sake, pray for the man.  We don’t need another dead leader.

🔹 UPDATE FROM RT:  Iran’s President Raisi is reportedly fine and is traveling by motorcade to Tabriz — Mehr News Agency (This was not confirmed anywhere and an hour later all of the reports mitigate against this information – thick fog, searching on foot, 40 to 60 rapid response teams searching on foot, and so on.  I’ll wait).

🔹 UPDATE:  Reporting is inconsistent and I am sticking to PressTV.  Their latest:  ” Rescue teams have reached the area where Iranian presidential copter made hard-landing”

🔹 Margarita Simonyan on her Telegram Channel says what we are all thinking:

“The helicopter of Raisi crashed accidentally due to fog, and Fico, a crazy old man shot, and Olof Palme, and Kennedy. Shit happens.  But it happens most reliably with careful professional preparation carried out by the masters of shit.”

🔹 UPDATE from PressTV

🔹 UPDATE:  This is now going completely nuts.  Biden is ‘rushing’ to the White House. He will attend an emergency meeting following his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter crash. and NBC: “Announcement of the death of the Iranian President and Foreign Minister could be made at any time.”

I’ll open a live thread if it continues this way.  There is a terrible feeling with flashbacks to Major General Qasem Soleimani.

🔹 UPDATE:  The world is praying.  Darkness is falling and in the fog and weather conditions it is cold:  https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2024/05/19/725875/humanity-raeisi-people-worldwide-pray-iranian-president-safety

🔹 UPDATE: from Maria Zakharova (It is clear that Russia does not believe this was an ‘innocent accident’.  Take a look at the end of her statement:  Russia is ready to provide assistance in searching for the missing helicopter of President Raisi in Iran and investigating the reasons for the incident, said Maria Zakharova.

🔹 UPDATE: Just a little earlier PressTV reported that the helicopter had been found, but that report was within seconds deleted.  The Iranian Iranian state TV now reports that the crashed helicopter has been found (RT reports this). There is no information on Raisi’s condition yet.  We wait a little as I don’t think we are in accurate territory yet.

🔹 UPDATE from GlobalSouth.co – AHH has updated his thread Chronicles of the Apocalypse with a lot of info, right wrong questionable, just everything that flows by.  It starts from this post onwards:  https://sovereignista.com/globalsouthforum/topic/chronicles-of-the-apocalypse-11-may-2024/#post-30838

🔹 UPDATES from RT, Sputnik and Tasnim (and these look like accurate reports)

Sputnik – Exact Location of Iranian President Raisi’s Helicopter Established – The exact location of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter has been established through a signal from one of the crew members, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said.

RT – Iranian media reports that Governor Rahmati, who was in the helicopter with the president, had managed to get in touch. He reportedly said that he was in a lot of pain and could hear the sound of sirens. The media has not given any information on Raisi.

TASNIM –Later on Sunday around 3:15 pm ET, Tasnim news agency reported that search teams were getting closer to the site and have been able to receive signal from the helicopter as well as from a cell phone belonging to an aide of Raisi. As was requested, Turkey is providing drones/helicopters with night visions to help in the search. They are also sending specialized search teams to help with the rescue operation.

UPDATE At the end of this day:  And, I don’t know what to make of it.  Well, actually I do.  From PressTV – there was some to and fro about some rescuers smelling gasoline and a lot of little bits and pieces.  But now …  ” IRGC cmdr. confirms heat source detected believed to be the wreckage of chopper carrying Iranian President”.  That helicopter did not sit down nicely and safely.  The drone from Anadolu Agency reports that the Turkish drone detected a ‘heat source’ that is believed to be the wreckage of the Iranian president’s helicopter  We will see.  President Putin had a meeting as well with his main men but tomorrow will do for that.  That helicopter did not come down normally – fight me if you wish lol.

Following are all comments for May 18th.

Fighting rages in Rafah amid intensified Israeli bombardments

🔹Heavy Israeli bombardments have rocked Gaza’s southern city of Rafah coinciding with the Western media fanfare that the first so-called humanitarian aid had entered Gaza via a US-built pier.

Attacks are relentless and the death toll is climbing.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

We have two reports on the Ukraine

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The West is risking further escalation by arming Ukraine and encouraging it to strike Russian territory, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

Ukrainian strikes on Russian cities have intensified since Kiev began losing ground in Kharkov Region.

“The profile of the American and British handlers of the [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky regime is clearly visible,” Zakharova told reporters. “They are not only providing longer-range missiles and heavy weapons, but are giving the green light for their use against Russia.”

“Once again, we would like to unequivocally warn Washington, London, Brussels and other Western capitals, as well as Kiev, which is under their control, that they are playing with fire. Russia will not leave such encroachments on its territory unanswered,” the spokeswoman stressed.

All I can say, is that I am on the edge of my chair in this respect. We can expect something from Russia and it cannot possibly be appeasement because of:

🔹Sixteen US Democratic lawmakers have joined Republicans to pass a bill that will force President Joe Biden’s administration to speed up approved arms shipments to Israel.

US lawmakers pass bill to overturn halt to arms transfer to Israel (https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2024/05/18/725789/US-Democratic-lawmakers-bill-arms-shipments-Israel)

Do read Mr Lavrov’s statements here on RT:

Speaking on Saturday, Lavrov cited an article by Russian political scientist Dmitry Trenin, who has written that “Europe as a partner is not relevant for us for at least one generation.” The minister said that he “can’t help but agree” and that Moscow is “feeling this in practice almost daily.” The senior Russian diplomat also claimed, without elaborating, that “many facts speak in favor of such a prognosis.”

“The acute phase of the military-political confrontation with the West continues [and] is in full swing,” Lavrov said, pointing to the nature of the narratives currently prevalent in the US and Europe.

https://www.rt.com/russia/597827-lavrov-europe-no-partner-for-generation/

For the rest, we continue.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The Ukraine and Richard Haas, President of the Council on Foreign Relations: He says clearly that now they want to redefine success for the Ukraine. OK, they do not want to say they lost and have a replay of Afghanistan or any of their other despicable wars, so now, we have to redefine success. You’ll have to unlock the paywall.

https://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/defining-success-in-ukraine-facing-russian-offensive-by-richard-haass-2024-05

In concept, to redefine success by rewriting initial objectives, when the wishlist meets reality, is a common excercise in business and specifically in projects. Just in this case, redefining success means admitting failure. (Excuse me for laughing very loud at this attempt to redefine success – it is because those that were involved were so very insistent that yeah! they’re gonna win, wunderwaffe and good NATO soldiers – Oh man! they’ve lying on their faces in the mud and tearing their clothes and covering mirrors and wailing and beating their breasts. Is it a very bad thing to laugh – I mean to laugh out loud in derision?)

Haas suggests different exit strategies, but none of them ‘exit’. He acknowledges that Ukraine simply is not in a position to liberate Crimea and its eastern regions through military force. This is because “the math is unavoidable. Russia has too many soldiers and a wartime economy capable of producing large amounts of arms and ammunition”. The new “definition of success” is a ceasefire where “neither country would be asked to give up its long-term claims”, meaning a situation akin to the one in Korea (which he himself acknowledges: “such arrangements have worked well in other contexts, including on the Korean Peninsula and in Cyprus”).

Haas writes that ultimately peace “might not happen for years or decades. In the meantime, though, Ukraine would be much better off than it would be if the war continued.” What he means, but does not get to, is the simple concept of a cease fire. OK, the subtext here is .. ‘We Wait for Putin to Exit’. Another very fine example of not understanding Russia, or supposedly his enemy, at all. Another very fine example of a empire apparatchik that did not take the time to go and verify that Russia already, and in various forms and spheres, exactly defined what the ‘exit’ for Ukraine must look like.

Btw, the BRICS leaders are not going to the Swiss so-called peace conference. Lula da Silva and Cyril Ramaphosa have sent their notes of thanks, but no thanks.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

We have to talk about the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and all those areas where Palestinians find themselves in the deepest travail. Israel is shooting the holy hell out of the Palestinian areas but this time, they’re getting it back in spades. The word out on the street is that the Israeli forces are suffering major losses, but of course, they don’t say it. I went though the Quds channel ( https://t.me/QudsNen ) this morning and you should do that too to get a clear idea of the human cost. Scroll to the bottom because it is very dense with information and read upward until your heart breaks apart for this segment of our humanity and you cannot decide whether to cry or to hate.

And for an idea of the full scope of what is happening, I went through the Resistance News Network that is about the best for a complete picture of all the resistance groups.
( https://t.me/PalestineResist ) . PressTV also reports as to the big picture. ( https://t.me/presstv )

🔹🔹🔹🔹

We have a massive informational rollout coming in this next week to complete the comments on the China-Russia summit, the sitting of the ICJ, and the results of a tumultuous, busy and crazy week, containing at least one attempt at assassination. The last word on that has not been spoken and Europe has had a fat slap around the face. Perhaps some even wake up as they understand clearly what this shooting of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico means. And if it is not clear, let us clarify – it has a simple message, speak against the prevailing model, and you too can be shot at – stay in your lane about the Ukraine specifically because the hegemon dearly wants that war to continue, and Russia is going to decimate NATO before the war comes to an end.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Julian Assange
– the results of the extradition to the US will be announced on Monday, the 20th of May. I have no hope that this extradition can be avoided and this is because the current one that considers itself exceptional, the fast falling empire, needs a victory and my fear is that this is a victory that is presented to them on a platter. I have no hope here.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

This is what is happening in Georgia which is at real risk of a color revolution now. We have seen this method of setting up a president too many times now:

🔹🔹🔹🔹

From the Summit, China and Russia, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin

The statement from the Russia/China summit deserves a lot of attention and much revisiting as nothing in there is a ‘5-minute’ issue.  It is literally taking the problems of the world today, and rebuilding.  The section on climate change and biodiversity is relatively shorter but punchy. As I said when I first looked at the document if you want to know what we are going to keep ourselves busy with and what the world is going to look like, study this document. I will collect these comments and section in one document after they’ve had their time here in the Daily Chronicles.  Today I would like to look at the section on biodiversity and global warming. It is not what we would expect and here is the full section with the most important in bold:

– The two sides took measures to address climate change and reaffirmed their adherence to the goals, principles and institutional framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Paris Agreement, especially the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities. Both sides emphasized that financial support provided by developed countries to developing countries is crucial to slowing down the increase in global average temperature and adapting to the negative impacts of global climate change. Both sides oppose erecting trade barriers on the grounds of combating climate change and linking climate issues with threats to international peace and security.

– Both sides appreciate the “Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework” adopted at the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity hosted by China, and are willing to promote the harmonious development of man and nature and contribute to global sustainable development.

– Both sides are determined to increase efforts to control plastic waste pollution on the basis of respecting the national conditions and sovereignty of each country, and work with all parties to formulate legally binding instruments to deal with environmental pollution (including marine pollution) caused by plastic waste.

– Both sides expressed serious concern about Japan’s discharge of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean, and demanded that Japan safely dispose of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water in a responsible manner, accept strict international monitoring, and respect the requirements of relevant countries for independent monitoring.

In short summary, climate change is not only warming.  It contains the building blocks of our world in all aspects and on a high level, these are the issues that we need to attend to.  We all have the same responsibilities, but we can differentiate to make the whole load of responsibility easier to handle and even legally circumscribe issues like pollution.  Don’t go and confuse this issue with trade and start threatening peace and security in our world.  In this way this summit and documentation attempts to depoliticize the issue of climate change and consider biodiversity, pollution, and not doing things like dumping Fukushima water into the ocean, as part of the solution sets which are underpinned by a developed model. It is a great combination of visionary issues underpinned by action items. It is worthwhile taking a look at the model.  It starts with finance and goes on to water which is already a meaningful progression.

Yes, I like it.  Now we shall see if anybody pays attention.
