No More Elections, say some creepy guys
This is interesting as a concept. As a concept I believe that we have to look for a better way to elect/select/appoint leaders. The world is complex and these days we cannot have a peanut farmer or such like just walk into governing a country.
It is so that the source of one of these ideas is a little worrying. This is probably not what we need.
World Economic Forum (WEF) Founder Klaus Schwab, and Google co-founder Sergey Brin had a discussion.
Schwab says that future technology will eliminate the need for elections.
“Digital technologies have an analytical power – now we go into a predictive mode. Why do we need elections, when we know what the result will be?” – Schwab says.
“Why do we need to have elected leaders at all?” – Brin asks, when you can have all the decisions made [by predictive A.I assumably.]
And just like that, authority is not of the people and for the people but an unseen and accountable machine running a set of algorithms.

At least when a peanut farmer ran the U.$., AFAIK we got through four years *NOT* bombing other countries, an exception to the general rule. Those that came after were worse. As for inflation, supposedly the Fed miscalculated and expected a recession to happen on its own in ’79, but… Read more »
