Eurasian Economic Forum Plenary Session
The Big News: The Eurasian Economic Union, and specifically Belt and Road, is integrating with BRICS.
Karl Sanches grabbed all of the speeches and discussions on his website: https://vk.com/@580896205-eurasian-economic-forum-plenary-session
(Thank you Karl! That was a marathon of work!) Please read it on Karl’s site.
We then ask the question: Why the extensive and detailed transcripts with readouts? It is to kick off the integration process.
I was writing about BRICS when this news came out. My thesis was that BRICS is still too fragile in terms of just the sheer administrative load, not to talk about the vision, mission, objectives, and task distribution, to take in all of these members in one shot. At the moment, BRICS consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa with both Brazil and South Africa under attack from hegemonic forces. We all know that China is also under attack and Russia of course and India is being romanticized to get back to the so-called democratic UN and NATO and EU. South Africa is in the dark, with power outages generally more than 12 hours every day, and no hope yet in sight. Both Brazil and South Africa are, to say the least, economically not healthy.
Another aspect of the flight to BRICS is that the countries are desperately fleeing the possible economic fallout of a US default or crash of some kind, as well as desperately fleeing to what is considered today as a safe harbor from hegemonic plunder and neocolonialist pressure. This makes for a situation that is flammable. As the Global Times stated: The US would rather see the world end than lose its supremacy. This move, this integration/coordination of BRICS/Belt and Road/Eurasian Economic Union is a supremacy-losing move.
30 (At the last reporting) countries have applied to join the BRICS. The South African BRICS Sherpa (BRICS Ambassador at Large) stated: “We are continuing to work on the BRICS expansion concept,” Suklal said. – The final meeting of the Sherpa with this agenda will be held on May 29-31. Following its results, the conceptual report will be submitted for consideration to the BRICS foreign ministers, whose meeting will take place on June 1 in Cape Town.” Mr. Lavrov will be at this meeting. “Official and informal requests about joining the BRICS come all the time,” said Suklal – The corresponding requests follow almost every week.” In an April interview with an Indian TV channel, Suklal said that 19 countries are seeking to join the BRICS, of which 13 have submitted relevant applications. However, in a conversation with a TASS correspondent, he has already mentioned 30 countries.

You can see that this process is now gathering speed. Integration with the Eurasian Economic Forum with initially increase the load of so many additional BRICS members, but then, because of the greater platform, work will be done easier. Of course, not all applicants will be taken in at the same time, but nevertheless, many organized hands make the task easier.
Currently, BRICS is economically bigger than the G7. The moment of US “unipolarity” and the economic dominance of the G7 is in the past. May I state my joy and wishes for a good integration! and my wish to continue writing a chronicle on this stupendous change in our world.
BRICS+ includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and soon Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and 13 other applicants. This multipolar alliance is bigger than the G7. It will end US hegemony and the US dollar as a reserve currency. The expiry date of US empire is set. No escape. pic.twitter.com/pKd8wqGazJ

Yes Amarynth, the plot thickens. And great work by Sanchez too! I will just make a few personal observations… #1The graph for BRICS vs G7 with the distinctive X-shape looks impressive, but it really only tells a fraction of the story because so much of the so-called “GDP” of the G7… Read more »
Yes, there is a great noise of a great falling! I detest it that we are still working with hegemon numbers, but, that is what we have now. And even then the principle, the G7 is toast, becomes clear. Putin called for non-western rating agencies. I was reading some Russian… Read more »
Well said Col! Your comments are invariably more informative and succinct than entire articles on the topic. Thanks for the clarity you bring. At essence is the conundrum of “western mesmerism,” — their all-powerful Narrative which shapes global perception to turn reality on its head. And these mechanisms of misleading perception… Read more »
