Daily Chronicles

The Daily Chronicles are snippets of the most important news across the world for this and each day as it rolls in – as such, this thread is non-structured with the latest news on top. The rough theme: Balls in the air!

This news day is only just starting.

April 27

And then, they lie.  Maria Zakharov’s response.

US Ambassador to the Russian Federation Lynn Tracy: “Russian journalists who were supposed to accompany Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on a trip to New York as part of the Russian chairmanship of the UN Security Council could fly under their own power after obtaining visas.”

Maria Zakharova: Lynn, you’re like Annalena Burbock and Liz Truss, aren’t you? Do not know what a 360-degree turn is and that the Black and Baltic are different seas? Or are you just blatantly lying?

Russian journalists could not “fly under their own power”, because there are no direct flights from Moscow to New York for a long time at the dubious mercy of the American authorities, and with transfers, they would have reached only by the end of the stay of Sergey Lavrov’s delegation at the UN headquarters. And you returned the passports without visas to half of the journalists.

Didn’t the staff tell you, Lynn? Here I fill in the gap. Don’t let your subordinates fool you.

Issuing visas after the departure date has passed is a favorite trick of the American authorities. So I was given a visa to work on the UN Committee on Information last year on the basis that I would not be in time for the meeting, when representatives are expected to speak.
The first time I came across such an attitude of the American authorities towards journalists was a long time ago – in this way they squeezed out a TASS correspondent from the USA: they did not extend his visa, and when the agency decided to replace the staff correspondent, they issued a visa on the same day.

Everyone knows a lot of such examples, and the US ambassador shamelessly spreads fakes anyway.
Ugh.

April 27

Punishment has started for not processing visas for the Russian delegation at the time of FM Lavrov’s visit to the UNSC.

The senior diplomat of the American diplomatic mission in Moscow, summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on April 27, was given an official demarche with a note of protest over the provocative actions of the US diplomatic mission, which disrupted the visa processing for media representatives from the journalistic pool of S.V. Lavrov, who was supposed to accompany him on a trip to New York as part of the Russian chairmanship of the UN Security Council.

It is especially emphasized that such sabotage, aimed at preventing normal journalistic work, will not remain unanswered. In this regard, the US Embassy has been informed that his request for a consular visit on May 11 of an American citizen E. Gershkovich, who was detained on charges of espionage activities, is being rejected.

Other possible retaliatory measures are currently being worked out, of which the US side will be duly notified.

The US is planning to park nuclear armed missiles in South Korea.  There was a question this morning at China’s regular Foreign Ministry briefing:

Beijing Daily: The US and the ROK issued the Washington Declaration on April 26 local time as one of the outcomes of President Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to the US. The Declaration says that the US will upgrade the extended deterrence it provides to the ROK, including through enhanced consultation over a nuclear crisis, increased military exercises and training activities and table-top simulation, the establishment of a new Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG) and further expansion of the US regular visibility of strategic assets to the Korean Peninsula. Sources said the US is planning to deploy a strategic nuclear submarine in waters off the Korean Peninsula. Do you have any comment?

Mao Ning: The US puts its own geopolitical interests before the security of the whole region. The US has been a source of tension through exploiting the issues on the Korean Peninsula. The US behavior is a result of its Cold War mentality. What the US has done stokes bloc confrontation, undermines the nuclear non-proliferation system and hurts the strategic interest of other countries. It has also increased tensions on the peninsula and jeopardized regional peace and stability. This is the very opposite of the goal to denuclearize the peninsula and we are firmly against this.

China and her pandas.  The giant panda YaYa is back in China from the Memphis zoo, and it is headline news. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202304/27/WS644a3196a310b6054fad02f9.html

China did bring these wonderful and striking animals back from the brink of extinction and it is now a form of cultural pride!

This is what it looked like at the airport where YaYa arrived.

Argentina ditches Dollar to pay for Chinese imports.  Argentina says it’ll pay for $1 billion of April’s Chinese imports in Yuan instead of Dollar, following April, $790 million of monthly imports will also be paid in Yuan.  Buenos Aires says this will help country’s dwindling Dollar reserves.

There is much news that Erdogan, after fainting on a television broadcast, is really ill.  The last is that his wife and family members were asked to come to the hospital.  This is completely unsourced except that everyone saw him fall over on the broadcast.  After 10 minutes or so, he came back, apologized and said he has stomach flu and cannot continue.

(Needless to say, he may just be sick, or he was made sick.)

April 26

Mr Lavrov getting a bit of his own back while being stormed by media at the UN.  “Nice Dress”, he says to one journo, bringing it right to where it should be – it’s all in the presentation, but there is no substance.

So Xi Jinping spoke to Zelensky. They are kicking their understanding of a peace process into a top objective. An article will follow soonest.

Threats of sanctions continue

Kazakhstan may face consequences if it continues helping Russia evade Western sanctions, the US and UK envoys told reporters in Astana on Tuesday, demanding Moscow’s ally in Central Asia comply with their embargo over the Ukraine conflict.
“The Kremlin has tasked its intelligence services with finding ways” to dodge the sanctions, by setting up shell companies or middlemen in third countries, Assistant Secretary of Treasury Elizabeth Rosenberg claimed at the press conference. If Kazakh companies participate in these schemes, this will expose them and the country to the risk of secondary sanctions, she added, according  to EFE news agency.
The US and its allies have “launched a global push” to “crack down on sanctions evasion,” according to Rozenberg, who was in Astana with Deputy Commerce Secretary Matthew Axelrod and UK Foreign Office representative David Reed.

South Africa gets rolled again.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa made a mistake when he said the country would leave the International Criminal Court (ICC), his office said on Tuesday.

“This clarification follows an error in a comment made during a media briefing held by the governing African National Congress (ANC) on South Africa’s status with regard to the ICC,” Ramaphosa’s office said in a statement on its website.

“Regrettably, the President erroneously affirmed a similar position during a media session today.”

The presidency affirmed that South Africa remains a party to the Rome Statute, the ICC’s key document, and will “continue to campaign for equal and consistent application of international law.”

So after that, they have to keep the populace quiet and they are studying or considering the possibility of amending national legislation, which concerns the immunity of persons accused by the ICC.

BRICS is the target and South Africa is the easy prey.  If we accept Pepe Escobar’s view that Brazil is being used as an erstwhile 5th column now within BRICS, and South Africa is clearly the easy prey, then BRICS is down to RIC in terms of real power base, and we count a victory for the hegemonic forces.  The new BRICS members will of course take notice of the internal BRICS fragility.

April 25

How wonderful!

April 25

South Africa is in a crucible and sitting on two chairs will not do it for them any longer.  Ramaphosa had a press conference and announced that they will ditch the ICC.  But membership takes 12 months to ditch and South Africa’s own constitutional laws accept the Rome Statute of the ICC.  Ramaphosa was lame and said South Africa will withdraw because of “unfair treatment” by The Hague-based court.  Yes I know the jury is out, but I cannot see for the life of me that Vladimir Putin will visit the BRICS meeting in these legal circumstances.  It appears that South Africa will violate both its treaty obligations to the ICC and South Africa’s own law if they try and push anything through before the BRICS meeting to try and clear the way for Putin to visit.   They are in a crucible as the rank-and-file South African, besides a few that are western-oriented, will not forgive Rampahosa for missing this ball.

The best outcome that I can see, is that other African countries withdraw from the Rome Statute as well and South Africa leads the way.

Ever wondered what happened to Juan Guidó? He walked out of Venezuela and crossed the border to Bolivia on foot.  On his arrival there, they promptly expelled him.  He is now on his way to the United States, where nobody wants to have anything to do with him.  This is then the fate of another failed US project to appoint a President for Venezuela . a fake politician in liege to the United States.  It is becoming so that one can start feeling sorry for them.  But this also expresses the commitment of LAC to not fall for these fake projects.

We can be sure a similar process will happen to Zelensky.

Our eyes will be on Russia and Mr Lavrov’s visit to the UNSC. Two comments from Pepe Escobar’s Twitter stream:

Lavrov at the UNSC today/ tomorrow will be a howler. Preamble: US refusal for visas to Russian media. “A country that calls itself the strongest, smartest, freest and fairest, chickened out.” Then: “We will not forget or forgive it.” Today: open debate on multilateralism.

and

BRICS+ will be led by the RICs. “B” is caged, forced to behave as a 5th column. “R” and “C” are fully aware of the game being played.

April 24

Russian Ministry of Defense: On April 21, the Iskander complex attacked the mercenary deployment point in Konstantinovka, killing up to 60 militants of the so-called “Georgian Legion”.

Among them are those involved in the brutal torture and murder of Russian servicemen near Kiev in March last year.

It is a good day to take a look at the Russian MoD report.  It is two pages today and Carnage to the Nth.

(I did not have the emotional fortitude to ‘count the coup’ as the KIA rate is decidedly higher).

April 24

The countries: Brazil, Chile, Nigeria and Kazakhstan are on the EU’s planned buffet table.

From PoliticoEU, they are scamming up schemes to woo these countries away from Russia and China.  https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-schemes-up-sweeteners-to-woo-countries-from-russia-and-china/

China Daily EU Bureau Chief/columnist Chen Weihua (陈卫华)immediately declared this ‘totally nonsense’.

April 24

Seymour Hersh – get ready for some kneejerking.  “You cannot excuse what Russia did.  They started the bloodiest war since WW2.”  It is strange as Hersh knows what his country has done.

Interview by RT’s Going Underground: Seymour Hersh on his BOMBSHELL Report of Zelensky Embezzling $400 Million from US Aid to Ukraine.  (His numbers are understated). “On this special episode of Going Underground, we speak to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh on his new report that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage have been embezzling $400 million from US aid allocated for fuel purchases, as well as buying diesel from Russia. He discusses the CIA’s knowledge of the corruption and how Zelensky was allegedly reprimanded by CIA Director William Burns which led to the firing of dozens of generals and officials, mainstream media attacking him for not revealing his sources on the report, the presence of the most elite units of the US military on Ukraine borders amid the escalating risk of war, mainstream media exposing and helping the US government target Jack Teixeira, who is accused of leak documents from the Pentagon and much more.”

April 24

Tomorrow there will be a scheduled quartet meeting between Defence Ministers of Syria, Iran, Russia and Turkey to attempt to broker a resolution to the Turkish unlawful military intervention and annexation of Syrian territory.

One comment on social health and not the normal brief here at GlobalSouth.co:  Sexual regression, infantilization, and unable to deal with sex as adults, they seek out and seduce children and injure and trivialize them.  Please seek out a society where this is not the norm because we are in for a few decades of newly broken adults.  These people are psychologically sick, they make me sick, and societies should move them to a separate and quarantined live-in facility.

Naked transgenders* for 8-year-old children – decline or progress of European civilization?

While Russian society is fighting for the health and morality of our children, the West continues to corrupt and injure the immature psyche of minors, calling all those who disagree hypocrites.

So, in Britain, the Netherlands and Denmark, they launched show and a cartoon, different in names, but similar in essence. The British show (https://www.channel4.com/programmes/naked-education) “Naked Education” “educates” schoolchildren by having naked mentors show them their bodies and talk to children about their penis. In the Netherlands, eight-year-olds are being taught body positivity by showing (https://www.dailywire.com/news/dutch-tv-show-presents-naked-transgender-adults-to-children-one-participant-describes-gender-reassignment-surgery-as-euphoric) nude transgender people on TV shows. In Denmark, they show a cartoon (https://www.dr.dk/drtv/episode/john-dillermand_-john-dillermand_227290) that touches on the theme of shame and pleasure from the body, with the largest reproductive organ, whose name translates as “Penis Man”.

In Germany, advocating early sexualization, they came up with the “Primordial Game” program for kindergartens! Its essence is that any adult can pay 200 euros and squeeze other people’s children as much as they like, while the parents of the children are not even aware of what is happening. And in Spain they are sure that “talking about sex education is the right of boys and girls, regardless of the opinion of their family. They have the right to know that they can love and have sexual relations with anyone they want.”

The struggle for progressive practices in children’s education in democracies has gone too far. The organizers clearly do not realize that they are seducing children, chasing the early development of sexuality and conveying information about intimate characteristics and social minorities.

In short, I just want to ask: are you completely crazy there ?!

*Propaganda of LGBT and gender reassignment is prohibited in the Russian Federation.

A little military stuff from China. It is seriously concerning that the world is militarizing, excepting LAC, who holds to their mantra, a Zone of Peace.

The Sudan time-line is a beauty, is it not ?

The perfect example of the joke about playing chess with a pigeon — it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies off.

When Seymour recites the cant >“You cannot excuse what Russia did. They started the bloodiest war since WW2.” It is not so strange, I think…he himself telegraphed the deal he’s made when he tells us explicitly “I’m a prisoner of my sources.” It’s just the silly and obscene ritual cant of the… Read more »
