Daily Chronicles

The Daily Chronicles are snippets of the most important news across the world for this and each day as it rolls in – as such, this thread is non-structured with the latest news on top. The rough theme: Breaking some beaks!  The sheer size of the lashback against the US and NATO countries.

“The Provencal poet Guillem Figueira savagely denounced both the French and the Albigensian Crusades:

  • Deceitful Rome, avarice ensnares you, so that you shear
the wool of your sheep too much. May the Holy Ghost,
who takes on human flesh, hear my prayer and break your beak

Figueira was a Languedoc troubadour active at the court of Frederick II in the 1230s, having fled from the Albigensian Crusade. His most famous work was the sirventes contra Roma, written in 1229 in Toulouse while it was being besieged by the northern French crusaders. The Dominican Inquisition banned any singing of his song.

Iran’s President Raeisi calls for OIC emergency meeting after Israel raid on al-Aqsa Mosque

“During a telephone conversation with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo on Thursday, Raeisi demanded that the 57-member body convene an emergency meeting in order to arrive at a joint decision on how to defend the rights of innocent Palestinians and confront the Tel Aviv regime’s crimes and atrocities.”

Rocket Strikes – Israel, Lebanese territory

There are reports of shelling into Israel (North) from Lebanese territory.  Here, from Ria Novosti.   Yandex works for me for easy translation.

From RT India:

Israel Retaliates with Artillery & Rocket Shelling of Southern Lebanon

Air raid alarms sounded across northern Israel on Thursday afternoon amid reports of a rocket barrage fired from Lebanon (https://t.me/RT_India_official/15682). At least one projectile has been intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome system, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed.

The Israeli Magen David Adom rescue service said at least one person was lightly injured by shrapnel, while a woman was hurt while running for a bomb shelter. There were no immediate reports of material damage.

Shortly after the rocket attacks, the Israeli military shelled southern Lebanon with artillery, two Lebanese security sources told Reuters. They confirmed at least two rocket attacks on Israel had originated from the country.

I looked and oh, woe is me.  This is Trump after his day in court.  It is a political witch hunt of course, but he brags about the extra-judicial killings that he did.  And then, he says that involved also is the espionage act which they are looking at him for.  That is the very same act used to keep Julian Assange slowly dying.  Why and how can we even have one moment’s sympathy? One rule must stand for us and another rule for the rest. Chickens coming home to roost and another reminder to the world that our move away from the hegemon is the right one – this is evil returning to its source and it is not very choosy on what and to who it returns to.

China, Russia, Iran, North Korea have joined together in a destructive coalition, Trump says.  It would have never happened if I were your president.  And so on.  He says there is no case.  There was no case to kill Gen Suleimani.  There was no case to missile Syria.  There was no case to deny a pardon to Julian Assange.  Keeping the oil of Syria is theft.  And this is but a start.

The US legal system is weaponized against their own now.  This is but another depiction of a rules-based-international order.

The Arab League said it would hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday afternoon over an Israeli police raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Sweet Pepe!  Still giving ’em hell as per your instruction.

SmoothieX12 is funny today.  “He says WTF,  I don’t even know how to interpret this shit anymore. It defies human logic. ”    http://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/2023/04/wtf.html

It’s WARP 1, 2, 3 …..  →  There is information overload, and let this day go by to see what gets absorbed into nothingness and what stays the course.    (Trump is the greatest theater ever and USAmericans are beating up USAmericans outside the courthouse .. ♦)

April 4

We see the number of KIA Ukrainians at about +400 per day, every day.

April 4

WARP 1, 2, 3 ……

The message from China to Von Der Leyden (EU) and Macron in the run-up to their visit is friendly but sharp and pointed.

“if the EU wants to enhance autonomy and maximize its own interests through a real balance between China and the US, it should think more of pragmatic interests in cooperation with China rather than having ideology, abstract values or another major power dominate the agenda.”  China will take no nonsense but there is gossip that France wants to trade in yuan.  We will see.

April 4

Be aware of this kind of provocatory BS.  The western spin is that she is a ‘victim of the brutal Russian regime.’  Attempts to divide Russia (geographically and of course socially) are in full swing yet again.

Suspected St. Petersburg Bomber Becomes Darling Of Western Media – Daria Trepova, suspected of giving the figurine allegedly containing an IED to Vladlen Tatarsky, has quickly become a hero in Western media.  Many outlets report that Trepova is but an “activist” and “pacifist” and claim that she was set up.

Internal to Russia, the dividing lines between the factions are beginning to be delineated quite sharply.  This is a sub-set from Elena Panini at https://russtrat.ru/:

Yesterday’s comments by particularly stubborn liberals (Volkov, Smirnov, Naki) and the loud silence of “cautious” liberals mean a new level of escalation of the internal conflict.  This, of course, is not a civil war, but this is already a crystallization of irreconcilable socio-political groups in society, which in the future will treat each other as enemies. With all the ensuing consequences.  There can be no more compromise between them. There are no more opponents. There are enemies.  3. The events of yesterday bring the final line under the “liberal era” in Russia. The prospects for this movement no longer exist.

Like all countries, Russia is not a homogenous mass, always in agreement.  Terrorism on your own territory (St Petersburg no less) cuts into the social being.

Flake

The US Ambassador, with the last name of Flake, met with the opposition, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, in the runup to the Turkish elections “as part of continuing conversations with Turkish political parties on issues of mutual interest between our two countries”

Erdogan  “We need to teach America a lesson in these elections.”  “Our doors are closed for him, he can no longer come in. Why? He needs to know his place,” Erdogan said. “Shame on you, think with your head. You are an ambassador. Your interlocutor here is the president.”

April 3

India – Don’t interfere.

🇮🇳EAM Jaishankar takes swipe at West believing it has ‘God-given right of commenting on internal matters of other countries’.   India’s External Affairs Minister was speaking at a ‘Meet and Greet’ event  – just days after the US and Germany waded into a row over the Lok Sabha disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.https://t.me/RT_India_official/15417

April 3

Japan

Even Japan joined the modern beak-breaking business: “Japan has broken away from US allies and buys Russian oil at prices above the ceiling”“The US has rallied its European allies around a $60 a barrel cap on Russian oil purchases, but one of Washington’s closest allies in Asia is now buying oil at prices above that ceiling. Japan forced the US to agree to an exemption, saying it was necessary to access Russian energy, since Japan is dependent on Russia for fossil fuels. While many European countries have reduced their dependence on Russian energy resources, Japan has stepped up purchases of Russian gas over the past year. This is the only G7 country that did not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine. Oil purchases, albeit US-sanctioned, are undermining the unity of the US-led effort to place a global cap of $60 a barrel on Russian oil purchases. In the first two months of this year, Japan bought about 748,000 barrels of Russian oil for a total of 6.9 billion yen, according to official trade statistics. That’s $52 million, or just under $70 a barrel.”
