    GAZA LIVE BLOG: DAY 74

GAZA LIVE BLOG: Massacres in Rafah | Israel Besieges Baptist Hospital | Resistance Kill More Israeli Soldiers | Ansarallah, Hezbollah Escalate – DAY 74

▪️Israel is intensifying its attacks on all Gaza regions, including Rafah in the south, Bureij in the center and Jabaliya in the north.
▪️This escalation comes at a time that media reports continue to speak of ongoing talks, involving Arab mediators, about a possible prisoner swap.
▪️Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance continues to engage invading Israeli forces at several axes, with most battles currently taking place in Khan Younis and Jabaliya.
▪️According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 19,453 Palestinians have been killed and 52,286 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7. Palestinian and international estimates say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
🔻Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, a member of the Ansarallah politburo, said on Monday that his group will be able to confront any coalition formed by the United States that could deploy to the Red Sea.
“Even if America succeeds in mobilizing the entire world, our military operations will not stop, no matter the sacrifices it costs us,” al-Bukhaiti said
🔻According to Bloomberg news website, “a fleet of drones that are available online for as little as $6,500 filled the skies above Israel’s $1 billion border fence.”
🔻 The Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah said on Monday that it would respond to the targeting of civilians in Lebanon, Al-Jazeera reported.
In a statement on Monday evening, Hezbollah said that it fired missiles at the Kiryat Shmona settlement in response to Israel’s targeting of a funeral in the town of Ayta ash Shab in southern Lebanon.
▪️EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell has condemned what he described as Israel’s indiscriminate targeting of civilians in Gaza in a post to social media on Monday, declaring an urgent need for a “humanitarian pause.”
“We are witnessing an appalling lack of distinction in Israel’s military operation in Gaza,” Borrell wrote, citing the recent deaths of “worshippers, three Israeli hostages, and hundreds of other civilians” at the hands of the Israeli army.
“Far too many civilians have been killed in Gaza, as pointed out among others also by the French, German, and UK foreign ministers,” the diplomat continued 🤥

74th Day of Brutality: Israeli Occupation Forces Continue Genocide in Gaza Strip
    https://english.almanar.com.lb/2004235
▪️In a devastating display of aggression, the Israeli occupation forces persist in their atrocious assault on the Gaza Strip for the 74th consecutive day. Launching numerous air strikes and artillery shelling, unleashing a barrage of fire and orchestrating horrendous massacres against innocent civilians, these forces are shamelessly executing a genocidal campaign. This relentless oppression is exacerbating the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the region, resulting from the prolonged siege and displacement of over 90% of Gaza’s population.

🔻Yemeni army targets two more Zionist-related ships
    https://en.mehrnews.com/news/209722/Yemeni-army-targets-two-more-Zionist-related-ships
▪️Yahya Saree, a spokesman of the Yemeni forces, said on Monday that the attacks were carried out in response to the Zionists’ aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman said that the attacks targeted two vessels namely Swan Atlantic, carrying oil, and MSC Clara, carrying containers.
He noted that the attacks were carried out after the two vessels refused to respond to calls from the Yemeni Navy.
▪️Yemen’s defense minister has said that the Yemeni Armed Forces will turn the Red Sea into a graveyard of the US-led coalition if the alliance decides to take any action against Yemen.
▪️Once the flight tests and final standard tests are completed, Iran will begin mass production of its home-made training jet, according to a senior official with the Ministry of Defense.
▪️Iran’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations says the United States is responsible for all crimes that the Israeli regime is committing against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

    🔸Forwarded from Older than Edda:
To be honest, I don’t really believe that the United States will be able to assemble, and most importantly, use at least some kind of coalition against the Yemeni Houthis. At the moment, the Houthi military organization, both technically and in a purely combat sense, is stronger than the Iraqi army during Desert Storm, and preparations for Desert Storm cost the Americans a lot of labor.

We also do not forget that the US Army of 1991 is not at all the same army as in 2023. I think the most that the Americans will do is launch several cruise missiles and report that they hit an area with Houthi missile launchers. Democracy has triumphed, and the Red Sea is safe.

The Houthis, in turn, will wait for a theatrical pause and strike, underh very good video control, at another tanker, dry cargo ship, or even try to attack warships, and maybe the American base in Bahrain.

    Forwarded from Colonelcassad (Adequate Z):
The tight knot in the Red Sea is tightened literally every day, and the more, it seems that the former hegemon has no good answers to this challenge in principle. A statement in the night about the creation of an entire coalition, which will, like, ensure the safety of navigation, does not look like an answer, but for now looks like a shock of air, and one way or another will come down to one of the scenarios below.
▪️Continue to sit through it is impossible:
against the backdrop of large and growing consequences for traffic and pricing, this would mean signaling the whole world that the ‘hegemon’ is a former one.
▪️It is impossible to put pressure on Israel so that it folds as quickly as possible and passes off what has been achieved as victory. Moreover Netanyahu will probably kick up, not wanting to go straight into political corpses, and the Republicans will eat for this, and most importantly, this will be an acceptance of the very conditions that the Houthis put forward from the very beginning. That is, another form of defeat, and no less for Americans than Israeli.
▪️Of course, they can try to bomb the Houthis from the sea or air. The result is by no means guaranteed: the Houthis have many years of experience in successful operations against an adversary dominating the air. In any case, the threat to shipping (remember that the Houthis’ maritime reconnaissance and target designation means are Iranian, that is, quite adequate) will persist not for weeks, but for months. And a serious risk for Western naval groups in the waters. And an equally serious risk of escalation both in terms of targets and geography, up to and including the Strait of Hormuz. And there is an absolute guarantee that if anything goes wrong, the Republicans will again eat you alive.
▪️An intervention in Yemen not only has all the risks of the previous scenario multiplied many times over, but it also takes many weeks, if not months, to deploy an invasion force and build logistics. Such time obviously doesn’t exist, so the script goes to waste purely on want for time.
▪️The former hegemon, perhaps, no longer has any other solutions. You can, of course, call Putin and ask him to come up with something, with his experience of impartially untying the most difficult international knots. But it would be impossible for Americans to flog themselves even more strongly even if they wanted to, so they will choose from the four points above.
▪️Putin, meanwhile, casually noted that the Northern Sea Route would now be more efficient than Suez. Trolling is top-notch 😉

“Gaza and the Dangers of Jewish Paranoia”
    by Ron Unz
    https://www.unz.com/runz/gaza-and-the-dangers-of-jewish-paranoia/
“Although the subject is generally avoided in our politically-correct age, for many generations it has been known that different groups suffer from different social maladies, probably due to a complex mixture of innate traits and cultural factors…
European Jews have been prone to paranoia, perhaps the inevitable outcome of having spent more than a thousand years living as small, often highly-exploitative minorities among generally hostile host populations…

Benjamin Netanyahu: the Gilgul of Amalek
    by MICHAEL HOFFMAN

“Authors Note: This essay may strain the patience of those seeking quickie “bites of info.” I aspire to write for those in search of knowledge born of sustained reflection and study. For so complex a subject as the Kabbalah, anything less than providing sufficient background as stepping stones to an esoteric destination which might otherwise seriously perplex and astound, would compound the misunderstanding and misdirection which too often proliferates online.”

    by Alistair Crooke
    https://www.unz.com/article/they-can-wait-at-leisure-whilst-netanyahu-labours-and-errs/
“…This man in the wheelchair and with the rickety earpiece – Sheikh Ahmad Yasin – was the founder of Hamas.
And what he said to me that morning has come to upend the Islamic world today.
What he said was: “Hamas is not an Islamic movement. It is a liberation movement, and anyone, be they Christian, or Buddhist – or even I – could join it. We all were welcome”.
Why was this simple formula somehow so significant and connected to today’s events?

    GAZA LIVE BLOG: DAY 73

GAZA LIVE BLOG: Israel Bombs Al-Shifa, again | Awda under Siege | HRW: Hunger as a Weapon | 100 Killed in Jabaliya – DAY 73

▪️Over 100 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza.
▪️Scores more were killed in Israeli bombardments of other parts of the Gaza Strip, while several were killed in renewed Israeli strikes at Al-Shifa hospital.
▪️Meanwhile, four more Israeli soldiers were killed in fierce fighting as the Resistance continues to repel Israeli military advancements.
    ▪️GAZA’S HEALTH MINISTRY:
19,453 Palestinians have been killed and 52,286 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7.
During the past hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed 16 massacres.
▪️The World Health Organisation has called for an immediate ceasefire as it condemned the destruction meted out by Israeli forces at the Kamal Adwan hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
▪️Several Prisoners from Gaza Died inside Israeli Detention Camp – Haaretz
Hundreds of Palestinians who were detained in Gaza during the ongoing Israel’s invasion of the besieged Strip have been held for weeks at a detention facility in southern Israel, where several of them have died under unclear circumstances, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported on Monday.
Haaretz also reported that “the Israeli army presented only 71 out of more than 500 detainees before the Israeli courts”.
▪️The Israeli army acknowledged on Monday that five of its soldiers were killed on Sunday night in battles taking place south of the Gaza Strip
▪️Israel is using starvation as a “weapon of war” in Gaza by deliberately denying access to food and water to Palestinian civilians, Human Rights Watch said on Monday.
“The Israeli government is using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare in the Gaza Strip, which is a war crime,” the human rights organization said in a statement.

▪️✡️ In Israel, they proposed clearing Gaza and turning it into a museum, like in the Auschwitz concentration camp.
📝 “Send all Gazans to refugee camps in Lebanon and raze the entire sector to the ground so that it becomes an empty museum like Auschwitz,” said David Azoulay, the head of the city of Metula on northern Israel
The rapture with which in Israel they talk about the destruction of the Palestinians, as well as the terrifying analogies, suggest “unlearned lessons of history” on the part of the Jews there.
▪️❗Politico reports that the strike group is led by the aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower, which was recalled from patrols in Persian Gulf
💬What scenario awaits the Middle East if the Yankees strike Yemen?
▪️🇺🇸🇾🇪 The US and the EU may start a new war in Yemen – New Straits Times
The States may “not see the atrocities of the Zionist apartheid regime against the Palestinians” and start a new war in Yemen, writes a Malaysian newspaper .
📝 “This will create another Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria,” – the article says.
USA earlier threatened to strike Houthi targets in Yemen in response to attacks on ships sailing to Israel. So, the risk of expanding the conflict in the Middle East remains and can disappear only if the international community guarantees the residents of Gaza an independent Palestine with the 1967 borders.
▪️🇵🇸 The Pope called Israel’s actions in Gaza terrorism
According to him, the news he continues to receive from the enclave “carries pain.” The Pontiff said that unarmed civilians are becoming victims of bombings and gunfire.
He also said that the parish of the Holy Family, where there are no terrorists, came under fire, and there are only families, children, wounded, and nuns.
📝 “A woman and her daughter, Nahda Khalil Anton and Samar Kamal Anton, were killed by sniper fire, and others were wounded. When they tried to wash themselves,” the Pope said.
✖️ In addition, the house where Mother Teresa’s sisters lived was damaged.
📝 “Some say: “This is terrorism, this is war.” Yes, this is war. Yes, this is terrorism. The Scripture says that “The Lord, ceasing to fight to the ends of the earth, broke the bow and broke the spear.” Let us pray to the Lord for peace!” , the pontiff added.
🤦‍♂️ The Pope stubbornly does not call the IDF’s actions in the Gaza Strip genocide. Apparently, “this is different.”
▪️❗The conflict in Gaza is not even halfway through. There are “weeks and weeks” of fighting ahead – UN Deputy Secretary General
According to Martin Griffiths, the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is entering a phase where disease and hunger are beginning to be the main cause of “deprivation.”
❗️ The UN is also outraged and disappointed that the selectivity of IDF actions promised by Israel and the United States in the south of the sector has not been ensured.
Of course, the Organization will not do anything about this 🤔
▪️🇮🇱🇱🇧 Israel prepares a plan to invade Lebanon to push back Hezbollah – The Times
The Israeli army wants to “push back Lebanese movement forces north of the Litani River, a line of symbolic significance for both sides” , writes the British publication.
📝 “The Israeli doctrine is to transfer the war to the other side. There can be no return to the status quo before October 7th. The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces approved the plans and determined the readiness schedules,” the IDF said.
❗️ However, the decision on whether to transfer ground troops across the Lebanese border remains with Netanyahu and his cabinet. Hezbollah has shown itself to be a rather serious opponent for the IDF, and an invasion of Lebanon will obviously unleash a large-scale massacre in the Middle East.
✖️ So it is unlikely that Israel has seriously decided to open a second front after Gaza – probably this is another intimidation of the Shiite organization associated with Iran.
▪️🔴 It is reported that the Israeli Air Force struck the city of Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon. The footage shows that the arrival was in a building located several tens of meters from the funeral procession.
The number of dead and injured is still unknown.
▪️🇺🇸🇶🇦The CIA director in Warsaw holds talks with the Prime Minister of Qatar and the head of the Mossad
William Burns is trying to come up with a new way to interact with Hamas on the issue of releasing the hostages. Earlier, IDF soldiers shot and killed three hostages “by mistake.”
American and Israeli officials said that a previous negotiations reached a dead end regarding the issue of the remaining female hostages.
🇮🇱Tel Aviv insisted on their release before considering other categories, including elderly and infirm men.
Hamas claims that the women hostages are soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, which The United States and Israel deny.
❗️We must not forget that the IDF “compensated” for the release of dozens of Palestinian prisoners by arresting several hundred (and maybe thousands) of other Palestinians West Bank

    Death and Destruction in Gaza
    by JOHN J. MEARSHEIMER
    https://mearsheimer.substack.com/p/death-and-destruction-in-gaza
What Israel is doing in Gaza to the Palestinian civilian population – with the support of the Biden administration – is a crime against humanity that serves no meaningful military purpose. As J-Street, an important organization in the Israel lobby, puts it, “The scope of the unfolding humanitarian disaster and civilian casualties is nearly unfathomable.”

GAZA LIVE BLOG: Israel Intensifies Bombing of Gaza | Scores of Civilians Killed in Deir Al-Balah, Jabaliya, Khan Younis | Israeli Officers Killed – DAY 72

▪️At least 12 Palestinians were killed and 20 others wounded when Israel bombed a home in the Deir Al-Balah refugee camp in central Gaza.
▪️This was one of numerous overnight strikes that targeted all regions in Gaza, including Jabaliya in the north and Khan Younis in the south.
▪️Meanwhile, fierce fighting continued unabated, focused mostly in the east Khan Younis area, as Palestinian Resistance continued to propel Israeli advancement.
▪️According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 18,800 Palestinians have been killed and more than 51,000 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7. Palestinian and international estimates say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
▪️France’s Foreign Ministry has condemned an Israeli airstrike in Gaza that led to the death of one of its diplomatic staff in Rafah.
Following her arrival on an official visit to Israel on Sunday, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called for an “immediate and durable” truce.
The diplomat also expressed concern over the rising civilian death toll in Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli military operation in the Palestinian enclave 🤥
▪️The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported alarming conditions at Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical center in Gaza, describing its emergency department as a “bloodbath.”
▪️’It is Terrorism’ – Pope Francis Condemns Attacks on Civilians in Gaza
Pope Francis condemned an attack on the compound of the Catholic parish, “where there are no terrorists, but families, children, people who are sick and have disabilities, and nuns.”
“A mother, Mrs. Nahida Khalil Anton, and her daughter, Samar Kamal Anton, were killed, and others were wounded by the shooters while they were going to the bathroom,” said the Pope 🤥

The video is a look at the history of the region from early on. In particular about the British motivation for settling Jews in Palestine. It’s long, about an hour. Introduction –
All too often, the question of Palestine is framed as an eternal conflict arising from ancient ethnic or religious hatreds, with questions regarding the origins of the state of Israel and the legitimacy egitimacy of land claims reduced to matters of scriptural interpretation. Such views entirely omit the actual history of Palestine and the Zionist movement. The colonization of Palestine, a process still playing out before our eyes to this day, has definite historical origins at the turn of the 20th century, when Zionism was born and the encroachment of Palestinian land began.
Historian Rashid Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University.

    https://caitlinjohnstone.com.au/2023/12/16/all-the-propaganda-is-splattering-against-a-solid-wall-of-reality/
“The western empire churns out propaganda narratives about what Israel is doing, and those narratives are crashing headlong into raw video footage and concrete facts in ways you don’t often see…

Here are some examples of made-up narratives:
    • October 7 was an unprovoked attack
    • This a war of defense and Israel has a right to defend itself
    • Jewish people can’t be safe unless they have a homeland in which they receive preferential treatment over other ethnic groups
    • There cannot be peace until Hamas is eliminated
    • All civilian casualties are the fault of Hamas

Here are some examples of objective reality:

    • Raw video footage of civilians who’ve been burned, mutilated and ripped apart by Israeli military explosives
    • Photos of dead children who’ve been killed in Israeli airstrikes
    • The objective fact that journalists are being killed at a historically unprecedented rate in this onslaught
    • The objective fact that children are being killed at a much higher rate than in other modern conflicts
    • The objective fact that Israel is laying siege to a civilian population while systematically displacing them en masse and destroying their healthcare system

▪️During the fighting in Shegaya, the IDF accidentally identified a number of hostages as enemies – the IDF opened fire on them, and they were killed.
This is a sad incident, and the IDF is responsible for everything, what happened,” said an Israeli army spokesman.
Israeli media report that the three young men are Yotam Haim, Samer Talalka and Alon Shamriz, were able to independently escape from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip. However, when they approached the Israeli soldiers, they mistook them for militants and opened fire. The IDF has already ordered an internal audit.
❗️This blatant case once again confirms that Israeli soldiers, who have received complete carte blanche for violence in Gaza, shoot at literally everyone – even completely unarmed civilians and their own compatriots. After this, there is even less faith in the “careful and targeted” assaults on Palestinian hospitals and “Hamas bases” located under schools and residential buildings.
✊Hundreds of Israelis protested in Tel Aviv after the shooting of hostages
Earlier, IDF soldiers shot three hostages during fighting in Shejaiya, mistaking them for Hamas militants. Protesters demand urgent measures to return the remaining hostages from captivity, and also want Netanyahu’s resignation.

🇾🇪The Red Sea is essentially blocked, and this will greatly affect the world market.
The Red Sea is the eastern funnel of the Suez Canal, accounting for about 22% of international container trade and about 10% world oil trade🛢
The fact that Maersk is suspending all sailings on the Red Sea is significant as they operate 15.3% of the world’s container ship fleet. ranking second after the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), which controls 18.6%.
In the last 24 hours alone, three commercial vessels were attacked, leading to disruptions in supplies to Israel, which means the Israel-Hamas conflict has already gone beyond the borders of one country.
🤔 Off the top of my head, if the Red Sea really ceases to be part of global supply chains, the price of oil will jump significantly, which will alsocause prices for everything to rise, and inflation will leapfrog Covid times (due to the blockage of the Suez Canal, hypothetically).
The overall picture shows that in a couple of weeks, the Yemeni Houthis can influence the world market much more seriousthan all the economic sanctions of the West against all their opponents combined.
❗️Keep in mind the departure of American aircraft carriers from the Persian Gulf (perhaps this is a regrouping to counteract in the Red Sea region).
🔴 But here there is a nuance – having entered into a confrontation with a country in the Middle East, the United States will give the green light to the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” and the Syrians and Iranians to respond, but this time fully at US military bases and oil fields throughout the Middle East.
▪️Hamas again posted a video of the destruction of Israeli tanks
It can be noted that Palestinian militants are using urban space extremely effectively. At the same time, the IDF continues to abandon tanks to slaughter without providing infantry cover.

▪️❗️Spokesman for Hamas’ Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida:
The enemy is still gambling with the lives of the captured soldiers, not caring about the feelings of their families. Yesterday, it deliberately executed three of them and preferred to kill them rather than liberate them.
This blatant criminal behavior that the enemy practiced and continues to practice against the captives in Gaza, is a desperate attempt to get rid of the burden of this file and its entitlements.

▪️The daughter of the King of Jordan dropped medical supplies to the south of the Gaza Strip
For the fifth time, the Jordanian army has airdropped medical equipment into Gaza for a Jordanian field hospital. This time, Princess Salma, daughter of King Abdullah II, took part in the operation.
🤔Probably, its participation in the operation can be perceived as a signal to the entire Middle East, and above all to Israel, that Jordan supports the Palestinians with all its hands and feet. However, no one really doubted this.
▪️Yemen’s Houthis attacked another cargo ship in the Red Sea – US Department of Defense
It is reported that a container ship of the German company Hapag-Lloyd is floating under, hit by a shell from Yemen. A fire started on the ship, but there were no casualties – Liberian flag

🤔There are two American aircraft carriers on duty in this area, which cannot do anything against Yemen (or do not want to, because this will lead to escalation and they will be directly drawn into the conflict).
Today, the Houthis hit two bulk carriers in the Bab el-Mandab Strait.

▪️We’ve all heard of the news about the Golani unit that was eliminated by Al-Qassam brigades, but some of us are unaware of Golani and it’s dark past in Al-Shujaiya neighborhood.
“The curse, the nightmare, the disaster” all nicknames allocated to it by Israel. But why?
    ▪️🇾🇪 Yemeni Armed Forces statement:
The naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out a military operation against two container ships:
    ○ MSC Alanya
    ○ MSC PALATIUM III
They were heading to the Israeli entity and were targeted by two suitable naval missiles.
The process of targeting the two ships came after their crews refused to respond to calls from the Yemeni naval forces as well as fiery warning messages.
The Yemeni armed forces reassure all ships heading to all ports around the world except Israeli ports that no harm will befall them and that they must keep the identification device open.
The Yemeni armed forces will not hesitate to target any ship that violates what was stated in its previous statements.
The Yemeni armed forces confirm that they continue to prevent all ships heading to Israeli ports from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas until they bring in the food and medicine that our steadfast brothers in the Gaza Strip need.
