Michael Chertoff was the senior Justice Department official on duty at the F.B.I. command center right after the September 11 attacks. I recall his photo in newspaper the day after (9/11) opening his front door to gather newspapers, in text I read he (Chertoff) used the term… red flag immediately went up for me … (and the rest is history as they say.)
