Another fine interview with Ray, John and Nima. John is a little less tense this time, but lots of interesting information, especially from the Russian side:

As usual, I am sure they stole this technolgy. For sure this is the cloaking device used by the Klingons and Romulans!

I don’t see fusion ever working as a source of commercial energy, Mr P.

Almost 60 years ago, I used to have a buddy who was doing research on fusion at a lab, just after he had gotten his PhD at a university here in Canada. He would tell me how they had achieved fusion for about a billionth of a second, reaching the temperature of the sun, where it is continuous of course. And he was sure it would be commercialized in 50 years.

I don’t need to be a nuclear physicist to know that mother nature would never provide free energy on earth. Because the first law of nature is: There is no free lunch!

That was a superb interview with Ray and John. Thanks for posting that link, AHH.

As you noted, it was a must listen. I was familiar with Ray and Larry Johnson, but not John Helmer. His comments deserve a wide audience, whether one agrees with everything he says or not.

Need time to unravel all his points. Some things that come to mind:

    Russia sent a trojan donkey.

Trump is in danger, a la JFK.

That was an excellent introduction to AI, Amarynth. Looking forward to your tutorial, when you have time.
I wonder what happens if two AI apps start an argument with each other. I suppose you can set the level of verbal insults that they hurl at each other.

    Touching reminiscences, Mr P.
On the subject of animals, in the early fifties, as a kid in Tanzania (then Tanganyika), my parents were visited by a family friend who loved hunting, close to Serengeti. He was telling a story of how he was crouching through the tall grass, with his local guide behind him, looking for gazelles. Hearing a sudden noise behind him, looking back, his guide had taken off, and was up a nearby tree at lightning speed! He turned his head forward, and within a few inches of his face was the enormous head of a male lion. Both he and the lion were shocked, and he actually saw the lion’s whiskers twitch. I guess it was not dinner time, and both he and the lion jumped back from the shock, and ran in the opposite direction. What struck me was his description of the size of the lion’s head. He spread his hands way out, to show how enormous it was.
Yes, he did piss in his pants. I don’t mean the lion!

Wow, Mr P, sitting next to a wolf, that’s impressive!
I have come across wolves and black bears, in the distance, when I used to hike in Northern Ontario, in my youth. There was always the fear of not getting too close, and the advice from the locals was not to catch them by surprise, especially mothers with cubs.

I watched the Judge’s show that you linked, Mr P, and heard Ray’s comment about the “correction”. Ray, with his background, is not one to claim something lightly. This is getting serious.

I have been to Linz a few times for my engineering work, and seen Adolph’s birthplace near Linz. Although not fluent in German at all, I have to agree about the Österreicher accent. One of my Austrian client’s engineers was from North Italy, close to the Austrian border, and spoke fluent German. He told me the German spoken by Germans was harsh and sounded like garbage!

Another interview with a very courageous lady, still harassed by the medical “profession”:

Thank you for saving me the pain of watching it!
By the way Nima is Iranian-Brazilian:

Re: Sony Thang. I don’t think I have ever seen such a level of calm logic and clarity dispensed in such a deadly fashion in the English language, and that by a Vietnamese born person.

This is an unfortunate development, and is bound to come up again and again. There is no way I can see how to solve this,  unless the two governments get together and come up with a mutually acceptable solution.

Apart from salary inequities, which will always be there, there is also competence inequalities,  which I am familiar with.  A few years back, a friend of mine of Kashmiri ancestry, who was an officer in the army in an East African country, was  visiting me here in Canada. He told me the Chinese were training local African  men to drive the trains that China had donated. The men at the time could barely drive cars, and it was impossible to train them to drive the trains. So they decided to train women instead. Never heard back from him, so hope it turned out okay.

    Some observations from your reportage:
The banner behind shows the unity between the groups as they all have martyrs Raisi, Haniyeh, and Seyyed Nasrallah behind them.
What loyalty to the cause! Through thick and thin.

Russia does not intend to make mistakes based on trust in so-called Western partners, Putin stated.
As cold blooded as a king cobra! I was once driving through a jungle road, west of Bangalore, when we saw ahead of us what looked like a 12 foot snake crossing from right to left. My Canadian buddy shouted at the driver, who calmly came to a stop a few yards back from the snake. He said just relax, wait for it to cross, if you don’t bother the king cobra, it will never harm you. But if you poke it, it’s over.
