wiki:  [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_campaign ] “In February 1915, the Allied fleet failed to force a passage through the Dardanelles. An amphibious landing on the Gallipoli peninsula began in April 1915. In January 1916, after eight months’ fighting, with approximately 250,000 casualties on each side, the land campaign was abandoned and the invasion force was withdrawn. It was a costly campaign for the Allied powers and the Ottoman Empire as well as for the sponsors of the expedition, especially the First Lord of the Admiralty (1911–1915), Winston Churchill. The campaign is considered a Turkish victory.”

Nearly three weeks of attacks on Iranian military targets and the elimination of the political leadership have not yielded the desired result. In the beginning…we read…

      ARGON

There are the so-called inert gases in the air we breathe. They
bear curious Greek names of erudite derivation which mean
“the New,” “the Hidden,” “the Inactive,” and ‘the Alien.”
They are indeed so inert, so satisfied with their condition, that
they do not interfere in any chemical reaction, do not combine
with any other element, and for precisely this reason have gone
undetected for centuries. As late as 1962 a diligent chemist after
long and ingenious efforts succeeded in forcing the Alien
(xenon) to combine fleetingly with extremely avid and lively
fluorine, and the feat seemed so extraordinary that he was given
a Nobel prize. They are also called the noble gases—and here
there’s room for discussion: as to whether all noble gases are
really inert and all inert gases are noble. And, finally, they are also called rare gases, even though one of them, argon (the
Inactive), is present in the air in the considerable proportion of
1 percent, that is, twenty or thirty times more abundant than
carbon dioxide, without which there would not be a trace of life
      on this planet.

      and so on…laced with stories…

Brian is getting a bit myopic (if not just wrong) on his “Hamas” bad thing- he doubled down in his post on it- the assessment that “following the money” is actually how it operates and that Oct 7th would be a self-inflicted Gaza flattening, is too influenced from his spending so much research time via think tank and policy papers. He doesn’t view this from the aspect of political Islam, the muddled realpolitik of Syrian collapse, and the broader overview of the entire war (ie Gaza/Tufan Al-aqsa as Stalingrad, and this is operation Bagration with China/Russia playing the role of Overlord in supply logistics). It’s a level of imperial doomerism that western analysts keep reverting to that Iran and the axis of resistance simply doesn’t fall into because of the importance of political Islam- suggest to read Indi.ca’s edited collection of “Reading Resistance” from their own words to understand what drives their positions and how they carry it out https://indi.ca/books/

And I would argue he’s headed in a wrong direction with his initial analysis here – that Iran’s air defenses are somehow more degraded than before- many of the mapped strikes on Iran are still primarily along the west, and still standoff- the assertion that they have better air penetration and THAT is the reason they are using cheaper JDAMS doesn’t actually make sense. It actually implies they have LESS viable air access- being shorter range means they would need to get CLOSER to their targets to be as effective as the more expensive weaponry they are trying to save/reshuffle from other bases. Iran’s air defense was never going to be great- many of Periol’s posts in the chronicles thread lay out why, (and Brian is right in that the training for SU300+ and others from China would require better training that there just wasn’t time for- Stanislav Krapivnik is convinced that any of the Russian batteries there are all being manned by Russians on the ground). But just as many western analysts have pointed out that dropping JDAMS primarily on the western regions are actually proof the air defense is working- they can’t risk sending the pricey toys further in because they risk getting shot down and wasted, not to mention fueling planes now not being able to transit places like Iraq and the F watevers being busted by “friendly fire”.

I highly recommend reading and internalizing the words of martyr Basil Al-Araj (page 131 of the collated work at the link above). Essentially 7 rules to follow in supporting the resistance-

        1. The Palestinian resistance consists of guerrilla formations whose strate‐
gies follow the logic of guerrilla warfare or hybrid warfare, which Arabs
and Muslims have become masters of through our experiences in
Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Gaza. War is never based on the logic of
conventional wars and the defense of fixed points and borders; on the
contrary, you draw the enemy into an ambush. You do not stick to a fixed
position to defend it; instead, you perform maneuvers, movement, with‐
drawal, and attack from the flanks and the rear. So, never measure it
        against conventional wars.

        2. The enemy will spread photos and videos of their invasion into Gaza,
occupation of residential buildings, or presence in public areas and well-
known landmarks. This is part of the psychological warfare in guerrilla
wars; you allow your enemy to move as they wish so that they fall into
your trap and you strike them. You determine the location and timing of
the battle. So, you may see photos from Al-Katiba Square, Al-Saraya, Al-
Rimal, or Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, but do not let this weaken your
resolve. The battle is judged by its overall results, and this is merely a
        show.

        3. Never spread the occupation’s propaganda, and do not contribute to
instilling a sense of defeat. This must be focused on, for soon, we will start
talking about a massive invasion in Beit Lahia and Al-Nusseirat, for exam‐
ple. Never spread panic; be supportive of the resistance and do not spread
any news broadcast by the occupation (forget about the ethics and impar‐
tiality of journalism; just as the zionist journalist is a fighter, so are you).

        4. The enemy may broadcast images of prisoners, most likely civilians, but
the goal is to suggest the rapid collapse of the resistance. Do not believe
        them.

        5. The enemy will carry out tactical, qualitative operations to assassinate
some symbols [of resistance], and all of this is part of psychological
warfare. Those who have died and those who will die will never affect the
resistance’s system and cohesion because the structure and formations of
the resistance are not centralized but horizontal and widespread. Their
goal is to influence the resistance’s support base and the families of the
resistance fighters, as they are the only ones who can affect the men of the
        resistance.

        6. Our direct human and material losses will be much greater than the
enemy’s, which is natural in guerrilla wars that rely on willpower, the
human element, and the extent of patience and endurance. We are far
more capable of bearing the costs, so there is no need to compare or be
alarmed by the magnitude of the numbers.

        7. Today’s wars are no longer just wars and clashes between armies but
rather are struggles between societies. Let us be like a solid structure and
play a game of biting fingers with the enemy, our society against their
        society.

Finally, every Palestinian (in the broad sense, meaning anyone who sees
Palestine as a part of their struggle, regardless of their secondary identi‐
ties), every Palestinian is on the front lines of the battle for Palestine, so be
careful not to fail in your duty.

Thank you for taking the time to review Brian’s video, it saddens me that he is doubling down on the Hamas thing.  Reading your excellent post reminds me that many of the people we read for insight into the news are not actually part of the Resistance in their heart and soul.

The one thing I will say about Brian’s take on Hamas is that it’s understandable for someone familiar with America to think money defines everything.  In America, that’s true.  America and the West in general are deeply corrupt in ways that are difficult to comprehend, because it’s so artfully ignored by the corrupt and owned media landscape here.

But it’s not true everywhere, or it is not true in the same way.  One of the underestimated aspects of the Iranian people in this war, and the Houthis, and the Palestinians before them, is that living without luxury makes hardship easier to bear.  When you have no money, you have fewer scruples about taking money when it shows up, regardless of the source.  But not caring too much about money means you don’t care too much if it goes away.  Westerners are used to holding their money tight, and have long accepted subservience to the wealthy in order to keep the money flowing.  They obsess over where the next dollar is coming from.

Remember too, that wealthy Westerners think they can use their money to control you.  Just because they think it doesn’t make it so.

A word about natural gas…at the “source”, the taps into the geology, the “wells” the gas is not pumped out…it’s under natural as-found pressure. So? Well, if it leaks out and mixes with air it’s combustible…and very large fires are possible…and ugly… With this in mind…

Israel Strikes World’s Largest Gas Field South Pars: Tehran Issues Urgent Evacuation for Five Gulf Energy Hubs

Ahemtink the dominoes are fallin’  Possibly the well-heads may also be breached, even experience zipper effect and from intense heat rupture one another…a thrilling spectacle, no doubt…and the biggest fire in history? Neh, maybe…

      https://indianexpress.com/article/world/israel-strikes-south-pars-gas-field-iran-qatar-evacuation-oil-prices-10589257/

      At Locals:https://theduran.locals.com/member/Bryan_Moir (writes)

South Pars is the Iranian half of the South Pars/North Dome field—the largest natural gas reservoir on Earth, shared with Qatar.

Together, it produces roughly 18 billion cubic feet of gas per day and underpins a significant portion of global LNG supply.

Qatar’s side of the field feeds export terminals that now help sustain Europe’s energy system after the loss of Russian pipeline gas. South Asian economies depend on that same system but with far less financial flexibility.

      This is not regional infrastructure.

      It is global infrastructure.

      Why This Strike Is Different

Most military actions in this conflict have been tactical or symbolic.

      This is neither.

Striking energy infrastructure of this scale moves the conflict into a different category—one that directly touches the global economy.

It is the difference between hitting a military base and hitting the system that keeps entire economies functioning.

      From Chokepoints to Supply Loss

For years, the focus has been on the Strait of Hormuz—the fear that Iran might close a critical shipping lane for oil and gas.

      That is a transit risk.

Transit can be disrupted, rerouted, or mitigated, however imperfectly.

What we are now seeing is something else:

      Supply disruption.

When production or processing infrastructure is damaged, there is no workaround. No alternative route. No immediate replacement.

You don’t detour around missing supply.

      You absorb it.

The Logic of What Comes Next

Iran has already signaled that it may target energy infrastructure belonging to those aligned against it, including Israeli facilities and assets across the Gulf.

This is not escalation for its own sake.

      It is reciprocal logic.

If one side targets the economic foundation of the other, the response is likely to mirror that choice.

And once that pattern begins, the war ceases to be contained.

      It becomes systemic.

      Global Consequences

      If this dynamic continues:

Europe faces renewed energy instability and industrial pressure

South Asia risks being priced out of LNG markets entirely

      Global energy markets tighten sharply

      Inflationary pressures return with force

This is not abstract. It is structural.

      Final Thought

Closing the Strait of Hormuz would disrupt the global economy.

Damaging South Pars threatens the supply that economy depends on.

      One creates pressure.

      The other removes oxygen.

And for the first time in this conflict, the line between regional war and global economic impact is no longer theoretical.

Ahemtink that game of tit for tap does not  stop with ordinary explosives. As Pepe said he was told, “Total war”…and that can only be the case for every “player”… I remember that Saudi has newkillerbombs, it’s said and assumed (quietly). I remember the “Israelis” have them too… I doubt very much that the US has not brought theirs too… aboard the carriers, and flyin’ in from airstripone (UK) … as the video have been showing… I note that Pepe said the US and “Israel” did it. History and the situation strongly imply that total war means atomic explosives. These desperate fellas believe in the bomb… How soon? Equinox, maybe sooner… How many?  Looks like AHH’s eschatology was pretty accurate… We shall have to accept what comes.

One of the rumors I’ve heard is that there is some panic on the Israeli side because the nuke codes went missing in the strike that took out Netanyahu.  Israeli rumors are like dirty water, I don’t like to go near them, and this one especially seems to be laying the groundwork for a false flag.  Not a lot we can do about it but watch though.

Codes of Secure Communication Infrastructure in Israeli Army Leaked – World news – Tasnim News Agency

The term “code” is inaccurate. They mean encryption. Encryption of data from a determinate source is 100% de-cryptable

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israel’s war management is facing a crisis after some specialized groups in the field of communications cracked the codes related to the secure communication in the Israeli army, Tasnim has learned.

They did so after obtaining information related to the companies and hardware used in the field of communications in the regime’s army.

The information obtained shows that the Zionist regime’s army has used telecommunications hardware produced in Italy, Germany, Austria and France.

Most of the internal communications and conversations of the Israeli army’s remote wireless system with the command and control system, which are one of the main and important structures in the management of the battlefield for this regime, are carried out through an encrypted Internet telephone system through the infrastructure of these four countries.

After the leak of this infrastructure, the coding related to communications has also fallen into the hands of some cyber experts.

The Israeli army has announced that it is aware of the leaked information and wants to implement a new system of communications, while changing this system is by no means an easy task and cannot happen in the short term.

It is not clear since when Israeli military communications were being intercepted by “those who should”!

Tasnim will publish other information on this matter soon.

It is unwise to threaten to murder people. Some say that such threats lead to the pre-mature death of those who threaten… a form of self-defense. And worse, sometimes after threatening to murder, some third party takes advantage of the obvious, and dispatches the threatened person…thus the foolish speaker of threats becomes a prime suspect… With this obvious advice in mind consider a foolish woman…

IDF threatens ‘elimination’ for Russian leaders who ‘wish Israel ill’

IDF threatens ‘elimination’ for Russian leaders who ‘wish Israel ill’
      > Israeli military spokeswoman Anna Ukolova has drawn outrage in Moscow after threatening that Russian authorities who “wish Israel ill” could be subject to “elimination,” while suggesting Israel could hack into Russian closed-circuit television cameras to identify and track targets.

      > Asked by a journalist with Russian radio broadcaster RBC whether Israel had access to Russian traffic cameras, Ukolova declined to answer directly but warned that “Khamenei’s elimination shows our capabilities are serious” and that “no one who wishes us harm will be left aside.”

She added, ominously, “I hope Moscow does not wish Israel ill right now – I’d like to believe that.”

Interesting that the lady threatens everyone for their wishes alone…does she have some sort of supernatural ability to know what people wish? Or perhaps simply some sort of ego problem…maybe she imagines she’s special…. 😉

There are incorrect assumptions, such as that Iran will simply watch…until the island’s men are hostage…the assumption that Iran would, if the invasion took place, not simply destroy the utility of the island, and the marines…the assumption that the Imperialists could re-supply, etc…  But what’s really interesting is the assumption that Orange Clown Act will try to do it. The timing of an announcement often implies the direction of subsequent events, or actions… Here we see  https://youtu.be/eT5fRM6272A  Zakharova speaking of the fact that modern Germany is no less nazi than the Third Reich…but sneakier… The transcript is in German, and the voiced (english)  translation not very easy to hear… but let’s ask why now?  Iran is making noises about Rammstein, possibly there’s a connection… and since Krautland is occupied, let’s ask about the nazi character of the occupation….We may perhaps be aware that the UN Charter provides that if any of the former AXIS Powers returns to a fascist belligerency, the resort to the Security Council is not required – essentially, for example, if Germany is determined to have resumed the war, Russia is free to resume the necessary actions to “correct the German errors”. Ahembetcha this is being discussed.

At a recent press conference, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova brought to light an astonishing truth about the Federal Republic of Germany and its politicians—a truth that simply leaves one speechless. Welcome to *Nachrichten Aktuell*. Let’s take a direct look at this.
The post-war history of the German Foreign Ministry has proven to be equally peculiar. Upon the founding of the Federal Republic’s Foreign Office in 1951, thousands of former Nazi functionaries returned to government service.
According to the Commission’s calculations, during the first two years of the Office’s existence, 42 percent of high-ranking West German diplomats were former members of the aforementioned Nazi Party.
This figure represented an even higher percentage than that found under Hitler and Ribbentrop.

      Forwarded from Colonelcassad:

** Iran has begun charging transit fees for ships through the Strait of Hormuz, establishing a “safe corridor” for approved carriers, Lloyd’s List reports. According to the publication’s sources, one operator paid approximately $2 million for the transit of its tanker.

At least nine vessels have already transited the strait under this scheme. However, it is unknown how many of them paid for transit, as in some cases the parties limited themselves to diplomatic intervention. The payment mechanism also remains unclear, given the current sanctions against Iran.

Given the US’s inability to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, this scheme is entirely feasible.

** According to Turkey, during Iranian strikes on the As-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Iran destroyed three Kuwaiti Air Force Eurofighter fighters and heavily damaged two Italian Eurofighters.
Earlier, an Italian MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and attack UAV was destroyed at the same base.

** Satellite images show Iranian strikes hit a MIM-104 Patriot air defense site at Riffa Air Base in Bahrain, damaging two hardened shelters.

** The CEO of Qatar Gas stated: “We’ve incurred a $20 billion loss on a facility we built two years ago for $26 billion.” He said the country would lose 12.8 million tonnes of LNG per year over three to five years, representing about 17% of Qatar’s liquefied natural gas exports. Force majeure may have to be declared on long-term contracts of up to five years for LNG supplies to Italy, Belgium, Korea, and China. Condensate exports would decline by approximately 24%, liquefied gas by 13%, oil and sulfur by 6%, and helium by 14%. To resume production, military action must first cease.

** Chinese AI startup MizarVision publishes high-resolution satellite imagery of every US military base, every carrier strike group, every deployed F-22 fighter, every THAAD battery, and every Patriot missile site in the Middle East. The images are accompanied by AI-generated captions, geolocation, and annotations.

The data is updated in near real-time. The first major release was on February 20, eight days before the US launched its operation in Iran. MizarVision published images showing the deployment of American aircraft to Ovda Air Base in southern Israel, the deployment of fighter jets in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the buildup of naval forces in the Arabian Sea.

By March 1, the publications had expanded to include detailed imagery of bases in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE, with AI-generated labeling identifying specific aircraft types, air defense configurations, and troop concentrations. One release cataloged nearly 2,500 individual US Army installations in the region.

The imagery came from two sources. The first was China’s Jilin-1 satellite constellation, a network of over 100 commercial Earth observation satellites operated by Chang Guang Satellite Technology, whose data is used by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Most Jilin-1 satellites are designed for regional imaging with submeter resolution, capable of identifying individual aircraft on runways and distinguishing THAAD and Patriot battery configurations from orbit. The second source is commercially available Western satellite data from providers such as Maxar and Airbus, aggregated by MizarVision.

      Forwarded from Older than Edda:

** The Iranian war is characteristic of the United States because they have managed to simultaneously accumulate several fundamentally unparalleled vulnerabilities in their starting position. First, they are fighting a strong country, and on its home turf. A strong country, in this case, is a statement of a simple fact: Iran is not a country where the government can be changed by kidnapping or assassinating its leader. To do so, the country must be occupied by ground invasion, physically removing those exercising power, and installing occupation administration officials in their place. This, too, is no guarantee of success: local elites could set the ground under such an administration ablaze. But in any case, it is the only option.

Second, in the event of a ground operation necessary to establish an occupation regime, the United States faces a severe communications deficit. The acute shortage of roads through the desert and the blockade of the Persian Gulf by Iran make it impossible to count on the unimpeded deployment and supply of the necessary forces, but the enemy will very likely have information about all American moves.

Finally, Iran understands that the only way out of this situation is by imposing its own game on the enemy. And it has plenty of such opportunities. This means that strikes on key targets in the world’s largest oil production center will continue.

** I’m looking at what’s happening in the Middle East and coming to the conclusion that I was sorely mistaken about Iran. I thought all the big words spoken before the war were bravado, seasoned with an Eastern love of grandiose phrases, but it turned out to be the opposite.

Now Iran is naming peace terms, but in essence, it’s demanding the US surrender (the payment of reparations from America cannot be interpreted any other way), and I’m not sure that Trump won’t ultimately agree to Tehran’s terms. Especially since these days, defeat can be called a victory, and you can claim to be a great peacemaker.

** The Epstein coalition’s war against Iran in its current form has clearly reached a dead end, and continuing it with the same methods threatens to leave the Middle East oil industry in smoldering ruins. This is especially clear given the recent airstrike on the Haifa refinery, which produces more than half of Israel’s fuel.

Little by little, apparently to avoid unnecessary noise, the US has begun to build up its strike force. In addition to the Marines already dispatched from Japan to the Middle East, another US landing group has arrived in Iran from San Diego.

A radical solution to the Iran issue is only possible by significantly curtailing the enemy’s ability to wage war and support its own military industry (and what remains of it can only be destroyed with a nuclear bomb).

Under these circumstances, the United States is forced to consider the possibility of a landing in the south of the country, but this immediately raises the question: for what purposes and with what forces?

The number one goal is to cut off Iranian oil exports. To cut them off so that Iran cannot use them at all. This requires taking control of Kharg Island, where tankers from countries that purchase hydrocarbons from Iran still sail. But sending an amphibious force to Kharg Island via Hormuz means risking losses on a scale the United States hasn’t dreamed of since Vietnam, and in terms of ships, since World War II.

To take Kharg Island, or at least stake out the possibility of doing so, it is first necessary to land on the islands in the Strait of Hormuz in order to (at least partially) attempt to reduce Iran’s ability to attack ships passing through Hormuz. Without reliable targeting, the effectiveness of missile launches and drones could be significantly reduced.

If the issue were limited to the islands in the strait and Khar Kom, a small force—literally a couple of Marine expeditionary units (up to 5,000 personnel total)—might be sufficient for the US: with the support of carrier-based aircraft, the islands would be taken.

But the oil industry in the region also needs to be protected from drone and missile attacks, the coordinates of which are well known to the Iranians and can be targeted without additional targeting. This immediately increases the demands on the contingent—specifically, both its size and equipment.

In this case, the US would need to land on the mainland, deploying air defense and missile defense systems capable of intercepting Iranian drones and missiles immediately after launch. But such systems themselves require cover from both the air and ground, and here the US risks falling into a Vietnam War-like trap, since the more resources deployed, the more resources required to ensure all this.

What initially seemed like a limited operation for a small contingent could turn into a full-scale war for a force of 200,000 or even more.

And the only way out of this war would be by admitting defeat. Whether they are willing to take this risk will become clear after the decision is made (or not) to storm the islands in Hormuz and land on the coast. The Americans remember Vietnam very well, and only the lazy are now not reproaching them for risking a repeat of it.

The more interesting rate move would be the UK 10-year, currently just below 4.95%, which is 50bp’s higher than one month ago. The BoE is losing control of the Gilt market.

      “Middle East Eye2 hours ago
India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is blocking the release of Oscar-nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab because of the threat it could pose to the relationship between India and Israel, according to a report by Variety. Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania’s docudrama tells the story of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl in Gaza who was deliberately killed by Israeli soldiers after they fired 335 bullets inside the car from which she was waiting to be rescued. The Voice of Hind Rajab’s India-based distributor, Manoj Nandwana, told Middle East Eye he had submitted it for central approval in February, in anticipation of a March release. However, the CBFC blocked the film, reportedly telling Nandwana that “if it gets released it would break up the India-Israel relationship”, according to the Variety report. Nandwana told MEE that the denial was “bad timing”, as the film was screened to the CBFC on 27 February, just a day after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted his state visit to Israel. The distributor said he was not surprised by the decision given that the film had been banned from screenings at film festivals across India, including in Goa, Bangalore, Pune and Kerala. Badie Ali, co-founder of Watermelon Pictures, the Palestinian-American film production company that supported the film’s production, told MEE: “When we heard the Indian film board’s justification, that releasing this film could damage India-Israel relations, our first thought was: since when is a five-year-old girl’s cry for help a diplomatic threat?” “Indian audiences don’t need to be protected from a true story,” Ali added. “Censoring this film doesn’t serve India’s interests. It only tells the world that Hind’s story still frightens those in power.” Ben Hania, the director, reacted to the Indian board’s decision on Instagram, writing: “Is the honeymoon between the ‘world’s largest democracy’ and the ‘only democracy in the Middle East’ so fragile that a film could break it?” ENDE

Kuwait zone very spendy magic airplanes kaputski...   “reports from multiple sources have indicated that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has successfully neutralised five Eurofighters at Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The strike is reported to have destroyed three Kuwaiti Air Force Eurofighters and severely damaged two Italian Air Force Eurofighters. This follows the confirmed destruction of an Italian Air Force MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and attack drone at the same facility, and strikes on Italian ground forces at facilities in Iraq by Iranian-aligned Iraqi paramilitary groups. These operations have highlighted Italy’s often overlooked but significant role in supporting U.S.-led operations against adversaries of the collective Western Bloc, which have been disproportionate to the Southern European state’s military power and the size of its economy.”

Iran Warned It Will Sink USS Ford With 5,000 Sailors If Trump Hits Tehran Power Grid

He who warns is excused, they tell me…

      see…….

On March 13th, a Pentagon memo leaked outlining a strike plan titled “Tehran Power Grid Neutralization.” The plan: hit 12 power stations around Tehran with precision munitions. Effect: 9 million people without electricity for 3-6 weeks. Goal: cripple Iranian command and control. Risk assessment buried in the memo: “High probability of Iranian retaliation against U.S. naval assets.” On March 14th, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami responded directly: “If the United States strikes Tehran’s power infrastructure and puts our capital in darkness, we will sink the USS Gerald R. Ford with every sailor aboard. We have the missiles. We have the targeting data. We have the will.

The USS Ford carries 4,539 crew plus 2,500 air wing personnel. Typically 4,500-5,000 people aboard at any time. If Iran sinks the Ford, it becomes the deadliest single day for U.S. military since the Battle of Antietam 1862—worse than Pearl Harbor’s 2,403 killed. This is not hypothetical. This is Iran’s top military commander naming the specific ship, the specific consequence, the specific number of lives.
Iran already hit the Ford once (March 11th—drone struck flight deck, fuel fire, 400 evacuated). Proved Aegis defense cannot stop sea-skimming threats. Iran has Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missiles with cluster warheads: one missile becomes 10 submunitions at 7km altitude. Launch 20 missiles = 200 submunitions. Aegis engages maybe 150-160. But 40-50 get through. Forty warheads hitting a carrier = sinking with 5,000 aboard.

Iran’s warning track record: warned Strait of Hormuz closure—closed it. Warned U.S. base strikes—hit Prince Sultan (Saudi), Al Dhafra (UAE, 7 F-35s destroyed). When Iran warns, it follows through. Pentagon memo leaked March 13th. Iran’s threat issued March 14th (12 hours later). Someone inside Pentagon wants this debate public. Trump now faces impossible choice: authorize strike and risk 5,000 lives, or back down and prove threatening American casualties works as deterrent.
Trump’s advisors divided. Some support strike: “cripple Tehran, end the war.” Others oppose: “humanitarian catastrophe, unacceptable retaliation risk.” Trump reportedly asked: “If they sink the Ford, what do we do?” Answer: full-scale war (possibly nuclear) or withdraw from Gulf entirely. Neither politically survivable. UAE just gave U.S. 48 hours to leave Al Dhafra. Saudi wavering on Prince Sultan. Qatar nervous about Al Udeid. Gulf coalition collapsing. Trump’s decision on Tehran power grid could determine if U.S. wins or loses entire Middle East posture.

SOURCES: Reuters leaked Pentagon memo March 13 2026, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami press conference March 14 2026, USS Ford crew specifications, Khorramshahr-4 technical capabilities, Pearl Harbor casualty records.
