A source from inside the Russian Government delegation to Turkey for the negotiations, said the quiet part out loud today, about Ukraine.

I will report this verbatim.  He said:

“I hope everyone can understand why the Russian President didn’t come to Turkey or even consider the EU proposed Ceasefire.

This is a waste of our time.

Just look at the Ukrainian side, unorganized, and making unproductive statements “Crimea is Ukraine.” We aren’t here to argue, you are here to sign a neutrality peace deal and there is no negotiations over it;

• 4 regions and Crimea are accepted Russian
• Neutrality (No NATO)
• End to the killing  and discrimination against ethnic Russians
• Denazified

These are permanent statements by Russia and are not changeable.

Did the Ukrainian side miss something?

We are all for peace, but we have the might to keep the SMO going, not you. The only ones to suffer will be the Ukrainian population.

Russia Detains Oil Tanker That Left Estonia, Report Says – Bloomberg

Russia detained the Liberian-flagged oil tanker Green Admire, which left the port of Sillamae and was sailing through Russian territorial waters, Estonian Public Broadcasting said Sunday, citing the Estonian Department of Transport.

The vessel is owned by Aegean Shipping of Greece and carrying shale oil on board. It was following a previously agreed route and its final destination was Rotterdam, according to the report.

The incident happened three days after Russia sent a plane in connection with Estonia‘s attempt to stop a Russian shadow oil tanker.

Ships leaving the port of Sillamae typically pass through Russian waters as the route is safer for large vessels than the passage between shoals in Estonian waters. Estonia’s Department of Transport said that it was the first such incident and that it will direct ships arriving in and leaving Sillamae through the territorial waters of Estonia to avoid a recurrence, according to the report.

Meantime…Cuauhtémoc. Of this event Sal did speak. He remarked that the sternway on looked as though she was going astern under power as she made the bridge. He did a close-up zoom thing… Yes, it does look that way. I suppose she was going astern when the tug pulled her away from her berth and let go, and then  Cuauhtémoc instead of going ahead, continued astern. Assuming a modern engine set that sounds like either mechanical problem and/or engine orders snafu. When the survey is done I hope we’ll get to read it. For myself, I used to warm engine and test reverse and ahead before letting go the lines…. So I imagine that the tug’s lines ought to have been kept until she was going ahead and making way. Since the wind was blowing brisk toward the bridge, that would seem to have been the best plan, no chance of the ship overrunning the tug with that headwind. I wonder if traffic in the East River was a consideration. And tug’s time is spendy, economy may have played a part too.

Another Egyptian Prof told me more recently, when I asked, “do you know Egypt is next after the Palestinians and Gulfies?” He nodded in misery. I asked, “are you ready?” He shook his head in greater misery.

I wouldn’t be AT ALL surprised if both the duplicitous Pakistani Yanqui Generals, and the Egyptian Eunuchs, were helping their side break down Chinese tech and prepare their side to dismantle China through classic betrayal. These elites are entirely anti-human, ahistorical, small-minded, and solely interested in preserving their power at all costs. fwiw, i found the share from HistoryLegands worthwhile.  i learned a lot about the confrontation & the weapons involved as well as how to read such events with the clinical methodology of a coroner; a talent wholly foreign to me yet its value is slowly dawning, for i found myself welcoming the host’s evaluation of both sides.
