ParticipantMelania Trump made history by presiding over a United Nations Security Council meeting, becoming the first spouse of a world leader to do so. The meeting focused on children in conflict, emphasizing the importance of education and technology for peace, amid ongoing military actions involving the U.S. and Iran.
Fox News NewsweekSo the spouse of the illegal attacker of a sovereign nation sets a precedent while illegal act is ongoing … ? Did she mention that her husband is CiC of the monsters who two days ago killed over 150 young girls between the ages of 6 and 12 while they were at their desks in school, along with their teachers? and a short time later killed 0bout 20 young school girls playing volleyball? … technology for peace? Did Lewis Carroll write this?

In another matter…. y’all know about “one time pads” – properly used encrypted in OTP message traffic is absolutely unbreakable. Numbers and letters are sent by radio, brodcast. Anybody can listen. The identity of the sender is often unknowable, likewise the holder of the OTP “book” can be anybody…or there may be several holders, or none, in which case it may be a spoof, or maybe the OTP fella(s) were busy. Often the same message is sent several times, just to make sure it gets recieved. It’s interesting. I used to copy the number station from Cuba…nice Spanish lady reading numbers… So what about it…why am I mentioning this?
Ah! New station! Evidently Iranian…

KeymasterThe video I saw of one of the F-15s did not look like an S300 missile to me. As in, whatever hit the plane was so small it didn’t appear on the video. I suspect we are looking at an Iranian air-to-air combat kill, with the American planes not even knowing the Iranian plane was there due to EW.

Participant“Iran is prepared for the long haul” by Gaddam Dharmendra, who was India’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran from 2019 to 2023.
https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/iran-is-prepared-for-the-long-haul/“A short note on the current situation”
https://aftershock.news/?q=node/1593439
“As expected, the United States, represented by Trump, was unable to stop Russia and pause the hostilities in the same way that the Minsk agreements were suspended.
Receiving increasingly desperate kicks in the butt from Israel, the United States, represented by Trump, took off with both feet and, holding hands with Israel, jumped into a deep, huge, almost full cesspool.First, the kidnapping of Maduro, which was supposed to be a show of intimidation, but in reality turned out to be a fig leaf and finally dispelled doubts about Trump’s sanity.
Now there’s the attack on Iran, resulting in the destruction of American bases and an endless shame. In response to the destruction of American bases, the United States wipes its nose, drives the aircraft carrier away, and shoots down its own planes for good measure.
Israel, in a desperate attempt to get out of this mess, is attacking the refineries of BRICS members, hoping that this will cause serious discord between them. It may even resort to terrorism, as it has done in the UAE.
Then it will be more fun.Suddenly, the majority realizes that Israel’s watchdog has become decrepit and toothless. They can beat it with sticks and feet until it retreats to its kennel.
As for Israel itself, its existence on the world map is already in question, as it has been left without protection. Almost the entire world has questions and debts to settle with it.Europeans will suddenly discover that they are being watched not only by Russia but also by countries in Africa and the Middle East. They may even have time to say, “Oh.” If they weren’t so stupid, they would realize that having billions of euros doesn’t mean they have the resources to produce weapons, ammunition, or catch up technologically. If they weren’t so stupid, they would understand why they are being gently but unstoppably disconnected from their resources.
The solution to the Ukrainian issue will finally begin to accelerate, as the fools in the form of Netanyahu and Trump, with their idea of a great Israel, will finally resolve the issue of Russia’s southern border security.”
**When Iranian missiles and drones hit three AWS facilities, including data centers DXB61 and DXB62, they not only disrupted streaming services but precisely targeted the digital nervous system of the US military’s artificial intelligence architecture in the Middle East.

ParticipantCraig Murray: The War for Greater Israel — 3/3/26
Craig Murray is an author, broadcaster and human rights activist. He was British ambassador to Uzbekistan from August 2002 to October 2004
What long-term lessons China, Russia and the Global South are learning from the abandonment by the entire West of the principles of international law, we shall see in the decades to come.
Snips —
It would appear that we are going to witness an aerial campaign to destroy Iran’s civilian infrastructure, as in Iraq where 65 percent of clean drinking water, 50 percent of hospitals and clinics and 80 percent of electrical generation was destroyed by “liberation” by the NATO powers. The object is the destruction of Iran as a viable state.
The attempted obliteration of Iran is part of a systematic attempt to eliminate by physical force all pockets of resistance to American hegemony.
We have seen Rubio’s astonishing assertion of Imperialism as a positive force. Matthew Lynn in The Washington Post exemplified the new Western doctrine. He mocked China for its pacific policy. He argued that for China to build infrastructure for the Global South was futile because the United States might simply seize, blockade or destroy any infrastructure by military force. This he viewed as not shameful, but a great triumph.-

It is reported that a certain destroyer was hit while refueling from an American tanker. The strikes were allegedly carried out using the “Ghadr-380” and “Talaie” cruise missiles. ParticipantWASHINGTON BOMBED THE CONCLAVE. WHY THIS WAR IS BIGGER THAN THE WAR WITH IRAN
Evgeny Poddubny, war correspondent, deputy general director of VGTRK, author of the @epoddubny channel. While the global media discusses events in Iran in the language of geopolitics—ballistic trajectories, oil prices, the balance of power in the Middle East—almost no one is attempting to view the conflict from the perspective of a minaret. Meanwhile, it is precisely theological perspective that explains why this conflict will not end with the fall of the Tehran regime and why its consequences could be far greater than Western strategists imagine. After all, from the perspective of the clerical establishment, attacks by Jews and Americans are not a war against the state, but an attempt to destroy an entire religious-political civilization.
For a Western observer, Qom is a provincial Iranian town, one of many targets on the coalition’s strike list. For 200 million Shiites worldwide, Qom is what the Vatican is for Catholics and Jerusalem is for the entire Abrahamic world. The mausoleum of Fatima Masumeh, sister of the eighth Imam, Reza, is located here, and around 20 million pilgrims flock here annually. But the pilgrimage is only the visible part. Qom is, above all, the world’s largest Hawza Ilmiya, a Shiite seminary system founded in 1922 that produces thousands of theologians who then travel throughout the Shiite world—from Lebanon to Pakistan, from Bahrain to Afghanistan. It is in Qom that the body of Shiite law is formed, and it is from here that the “marja’ at-taqlid”—the supreme religious authorities, the “sources of emulation”—issue fatwas binding on millions of believers. A blow to Qom is a blow to the nervous system of the entire Shiite world. And this blow was dealt twice, both times hitting the building of the Council of Experts of the Islamic Republic. The Council of Experts is not a parliamentary commission or a bureaucratic body. It is a gathering of 88 senior clerics, the sole authority authorized to elect and oversee the Supreme Leader—the Rahbar. The second blow came as the council members gathered precisely to elect a successor to the assassinated Khamenei . Translated into language understandable to Western readers, the coalition bombed the conclave of cardinals as a new pope was being elected.
The entire architecture of the Islamic Republic rests on the doctrine of velayat-e faqih—the “guardianship of the Islamic jurist.” This concept was developed by Ayatollah Khomeini, and it is the supporting structure of Iranian theocracy. According to it, during the Occultation of the 12th Imam—the Mahdi—all political and spiritual power belongs to the most knowledgeable faqih, who acts as the Hidden Imam’s viceroy on earth. The Rahbar is neither a president nor a dictator in the traditional sense. He is a link in the chain connecting the community of believers with hidden divine guidance.
Now let’s look at the sequence of the coalition’s strikes: Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed, Defense Council Secretary Shamkhani was assassinated, and the building of the Council of Experts was destroyed during a meeting. This is not an “elimination of the military leadership” or a “regime change” in the usual Western sense. From a Shiite theological perspective, this is an attempt to sever the very chain of succession of spiritual authority—to destroy both the Hidden Imam’s viceroy and the mechanism for appointing a new viceroy. This is a blow not to the state, but to the institution of marja’iyya—the system of supreme religious authority that existed long before the Islamic Republic and will outlast any political regime.
Western strategists are apparently counting on demoralization. The logic is clear: the leader is killed, the infrastructure is destroyed, the leadership is destroyed—which means the enemy must break

ParticipantI doubt he will really change his opinion beyond milquetoast -I watched Sal at the beginning of the tariff war, thinking he’d be like Kevin at ICB. Quickly stopped when realizing he’s an idiot “centrist” like shitlib pearl clutchers or maga anti-zio performance artists- he kept condemning the houthis because they fired on civilian ships violating the blockade (again, businesses don’t care about people, and he clearly doesn’t understand or care to investigate capitalist logic or understand any part of asymmetric warfare). See his post of “why are they letting Chinese BYD go through?” and him getting roasted on his whataboutism and ignorance in the comments.
He may have some decent info on the logistics of the sea, but he can’t keep his western brainworm from infecting his takes. If he can’t literally say outright in the above video that the US violated everything about UNCLOS, war, geneva conventions, then he has jack shit worth listening to. His only use is as a technical filter for admittedly info starved folks, but he’s a moronic filter at that. He himself stated that you can collate all the info he provides from publicly available, real time data- the links are all openly available. Go in knowing what you are getting- it’s the same when listening to the lineup of white guy former cia/military western analysts, that are so popular in the western speaking world on alt media- they can’t help but still cling to their self images of western white supremacy they’ve been indoctrinated with.

see Belgando “The Argentine cruiser ARA General Belgrano was sunk on May 2, 1982, by the British nuclear submarine HMS Conqueror during the Falklands War. The sinking led to the death of 323 Argentine sailors,[ almost half of all Argentine casualties during the conflict, and sparked controversy, as the attack occurred outside the exclusion zone established by the British government around the islands. In the UK, some commentators have suggested that the action may have been motivated by political considerations, such as undermining peace talks or bolstering Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s popularity among the British public. ParticipantYes, it did. We discussed the fact of delusion way back in Saker days. But the suddenness is important. Look at Kuhn’s “Structure of Scientific Revolutions” (there’s a wiki)…and consider what science means… It includes the social space, what “everybody “knows”…and that is in this case “regional”… In nazi zone what is known might have had some validity at one time, but now it is false. As Kuhn argues, “knowing” evolves in steps, not a steady or gradual way, but as paradigm shift. Our speaker is in that transition, which shocks him. The old is dead, the new being born…as some put it. One amusing feature of Salty Sal will come when he too displays shock as his foolish canon turns to rancid dust…which is one reason for my interest in Sal.

Iran hit Israel with the Khorramshahr-4 missile, a warhead with around 1,500 kg of liquid fuel, ballistic missiles and a “Kheibar Shekan” warhead, meaning “Breaker of Khaybar”, with 500 kg of explosive solid fuel and the Khorramshahr-2, with multiple warheads (sub-munitions), a warhead with 1,800 kg.

ParticipantFrom Locals…
“Alon Mizrahi, an Israeli journalist and one of the most respected Jews in the world:
“We are witnessing history. Iran, to everyone’s surprise, is destroying American bases so thoroughly, on such a large scale, and with such determination that the world is not prepared for it.
In 4 days, Iran has managed to expand its military dominance in the region. Iran has destroyed the most valuable and expensive military bases, property and equipment worldwide.American bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are among the largest military installations worldwide. It took trillions of dollars to create these facilities over several decades. We are talking about the fact that the bulk of military spending, which has been spent for more than 30 years, has turned into smoke.
We see radars that cost hundreds of millions of dollars each being destroyed in an instant. We see entire military bases abandoned and burned, devastated and destroyed. And I’m telling you, as far as I know, the United States has never suffered such destruction in its history, except maybe in Pearl Harbor, but that was just one attack.
No enemy in a conventional war has treated the American military the way the Iranians are treating the American military right now. It’s hard to believe. The military situation is so serious that censorship blocks almost any new information about this war. If you’ve noticed, we’re getting less and less information every day.
Thirty-five years ago, during the first Iraq War, we were shown endless footage from Iraq. Smart bombs and cameras were new back then, but every night we were shown night shots. We hardly see any videos now.
Understand this! Supposedly, this is the world’s largest military power with the world’s largest air capabilities, and within 4 days of the U.S. launching an offensive, and supposedly breaking through Iranian defenses, we don’t see any signs of American dominance in the Iranian sky. Where are all the videos of our planes flying over Tehran or any other part of Iran, for that matter?
American soldiers can’t even dream of setting foot in Iran. And to understand how desperate this war is, on the fourth day, you’re already hearing the craziest proposals and ideas from the Trump administration. They’re suggesting sending military escorts to oil tankers leaving the Persian Gulf. What are you even talking about?! Do you want to send American ships into the range of thousands of Iranian missiles? Right now, no one can pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranians have been preparing for this for decades. They are flaunting the idea of arming Kurdish militias to invade Iran. What the hell are you talking about? Have you seen a map of Iran? It seems that the Trump administration has never seen a map of Iran! Do you know how vast it is? What does it mean to invade Iran? Do you think that a militia of 10,000 people can invade Iran? Or even 50,000? Or 100,000?! Iran will swallow them.
The US and Israel have already lost this war. The US and Israel can kill millions of civilians in their homes. They have powerful bombs and they can blow up buildings, but they won’t win this war. Iran’s military infrastructure and weapons are buried deep underground throughout Iran. Neither the Americans nor the Israelis have the ability to achieve any of this. They are in a complete mess.
They have started something they have no chance of finishing. When this is over, the United States will never return to Western Asia. There will be no American presence in the Middle East. I am telling you this with confidence.”

Sir Khalaf Al-Habtoor, my heart is squeezing as your heart is squeezing. Our children are scared, our mothers are crying, and the sky of our region is colored with smoke that is not our fault. This pain is real, and no one denies it. But pain alone does not make reality, and anger if directed to the wrong address will not protect us from the next blow. You ask Trump: ‘who gave you the right?’ And I am asking another, perhaps more difficult, and perhaps even more painful question: who gave our leadership the right to bet the future of the peoples of the region on the promises of a country that history has proved, time after time, that it has no allies, but only interests Let me remind you of what doesn’t need reminding: the Shah of Iran, 1979: Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Washington’s closest allies in the region. He built his army with their weapons, opened his oil to their economy, fought their battles on behalf. And when he fell He didn’t even get a phone call. They let him die alone in exile as they negotiate with whoever brought him down. Saddam Hussein, the nineties: the same man whom Rumsfeld shook hands with in 1983 and provided him with intelligence information in his war with Iran, was the same one who later hung him in front of the cameras. A tool was used and then thrown away. Hosni Mubarak, 2011: thirty years of absolute loyalty to Washington. Guarding Camp David, securing the Suez Canal, and fighting terrorism on behalf. And when the street came out Obama said in a public speech, without the slightest modesty, “he must go”. Neither Trump, nor Biden, nor Obama is gone. Mubarak left alone. Kurds, 2019: the same Kurds who fought ISIS with their own blood side by side with American troops. Trump himself, yes himself, withdrew his troops with a tweet, leaving them under Turkish shelling. He didn’t bat an eyelid. Afghanistan, 2021: twenty years of promises. And billions spent. And the result A humiliating chaotic withdrawal, Afghans falling from the wings of airplanes as they cling to dreams let down by their own making. Do we need more evidence This is not a conspiracy theory. This is a documented history. America does not betray its allies, simply because it has never considered them allies. They are tools on a chessboard, moved when they work and removed when they expire. So why did we bet on the same losing horse Let’s be frank: the 2020 Abraham Accords were not a peace initiative in the true sense. It was a deal of interests presented in an elegant diplomatic wrapper. Of course, we sided with Israel, not because our peoples demanded it, not because the Palestinian issue was resolved, but because Washington wanted it. Promises of F-35s, recognition and partnerships were made to us. And what happened Israel has guaranteed Arab cover for its policies. Washington has secured a new Gulf loyalty. And we We have lost our credibility in front of the Arab Street, and we have distanced ourselves from our geographically closest neighbor, Iran, to ally with two countries that are thousands of kilometers away from us and do not share borders, waters, or history. The Foreign Ministry, the leadership, had to read the history before it read the texts of the agreements. The week that revealed everything but let me tell you what is more painful than the distant history. Let me tell you about the week before the strikes. Just a few days before our skies were on fire, the UAE Embassy in Tel Aviv held a Ramadan Iftar. Ramadan breakfast. In Tel Aviv. At the time when the Muslim children of Gaza were dying under Israeli shelling, without tents to shelter them, without water, without food, without even a shroud to wrap in. Children of our blood, religion and nation, killed by the weapons of the state at whose tables we sit, share dates and exchange smiles. What message did we send to the world that night What message did we send to Gazans breaking their fast, if they find something to break it with, under the rubble of their homes As if that wasn’t enough, just days before the strikes, the UAE’s foreign minister traveled to Washington and posted photos of himself with Israeli officials under the title “combating anti-Semitism”. The fight against anti-Semitism. The children of Gaza do not even have a tent to protect them from the cold. While mosques are bombed and hospitals are destroyed in the name of”self-defense”. This is not diplomacy. This is a complete detachment from the reality of our peoples and their suffering. Every decision that led here, these strikes did not come out of the blue. It did not fall on us from the sky without premonitions. Every step, every decision, every photo, every breakfast, every handshake, was a brick in the wall that surrounded us today. When we chose normalization, we ignored the fact that Israel does not want peace, but a cover. When we chose to fully align with Washington, we ignored the fact that America sees us not as partners, but as tools. When we had breakfast in Tel Aviv, we ignored the blood of our brothers in Gaza. When we went to talk about the fight against anti-Semitism, we ignored that there is a genocide happening before the eyes of the world. Every decision was a choice. And each choice could have been different. And each different path could have avoided us where we are today. The Strait of Hormuz, a neighbor before a distant ally, does not separate us from Washington. It separates us from Tehran. The missile does not require a visa or a diplomatic permit. It was the duty of sovereignty, not out of weakness, to build a balanced relationship with Iran. Not love for her regime, not approval of her policies, but because this is the logic of geography that does not change with the change of presidents in the White House. Germany and France fought two World Wars, The number of their dead is in the millions. And today The closest partners. Because they realized that the neighbor stays and the empires go. Instead, we have chosen to turn our backs on our neighbors and side with a historically transient superpower, and today we are paying the price for that choice. You say, sir, that the Gulf countries have contributed billions to peace initiatives and ask where they have gone. And I say: the more correct question is why did I pay in the first place Did you pay to build schools in Palestine To rebuild what was destroyed by the wars in Syria and Iraq Or did you pay a price for Washington’s complacency and a ticket to the White House admissions club When you pay billions to buy security from a country that has sold every former ally to it, you are not buying security. You are buying a postponement of the crisis. The crisis has arrived today. To the leadership, honestly and unequivocally Trump behaves as any great power behaves: according to its interests. We shouldn’t be surprised by that. The guilt is not the guilt of the wolf that preys, but the guilt of the shepherd who opened the door and left. It was the duty of our leadership to read history, to keep a safe distance between cooperation and subordination, and not to put all our eggs in the basket of those who openly admit that they put “America First”, that is, we are necessarily not even second. It was the duty of the State Department to build bridges with our neighbors before it built towers with temporary allies. The duty of the leadership was to protect its people from being drawn into a conflict created by distant powers who do not care who pays the price. I conclude with what Cyrus the great said more than 2,500 years ago: “no one can rule by violence forever. True governance is built on respect for peoples, on justice and on the wisdom of those who know that the strength of a nation is not in its weapons, but in the freedom of its people and the independence of its decision.”Our sovereignty is not protected by arms deals, nor by alliances with those who sit on the other end of the planet. Our sovereignty is protected when our decision is in our hands, when we know that geography does not change, but the promises of Empires evaporate like a mirage in our desert. People don’t forget who let them down. And history is merciless to those who have not learned from it.
ENDE

Israel typically relies on three main sea terminals (Haifa, Eshkelon and Eilat) for its oil and fuel imports, though their operational status fluctuates. Eilat is practically closed due to Houthi in Red Sea.
Israel is geographically isolated and lacks direct pipeline connections to Arab neighbours for fuel imports. Israel remains entirely reliant on marine imports, mostly sourced from Azerbaijan (via Turkey) and Kazakhstan (via Russia).
With the Eilat terminal offline, all imports must now enter through the Mediterranean, making the ports of Haifa and Ashdod critical and highly vulnerable targets for current missile waves. The Haifa refinery was reportedly damaged in early March 2026, while the Ashdod refinery has faced separate maintenance-related shutdowns, forcing Israel to rely more heavily on expensive refined fuel imports.
If you look at the hard math instead of the optimistic military briefings, Israel is essentially a high-tech engine running on a very small, very vulnerable fuel tank. Officially, Israel maintains a Strategic Fuel Reserve designed to last roughly three months. However, that estimate is for “normal” times.
In active combat, the IDF’s fuel consumption triples. Tanks, fighter jets (F-35s), and armoured bulldozers are “fuel hogs,” the effective military reserve is closer to 30–45 days if all imports are cut, which is just an optimistic feeling. Even if they have fuel in the tanks, the NIS 9.5 billion per week cost of the war is unsustainable.
No tanker captain wants to sail into a port being hit by cluster munitions. If insurance companies stop covering ships heading to Israel, the deliveries stop even without a physical blockade. Once the civilian pumps go dry or prices hit 10+ NIS/litre, the internal pressure on Netanyahu will be greater than the external pressure from Iran. Most military experts believe Israel can maintain “high-intensity” operations for about 4 to 6 weeks without a guaranteed, steady flow of new tankers.
The businessman Trump knows that if Israel runs out of fuel, the war is over in a week. To prevent this, the U.S. is currently the only guarantor. The U.S. Navy is forced to provide armed escorts for tankers traveling from the Mediterranean. This is an incredibly expensive and risky “Berlin Airlift” style operation. The U.S. is reportedly diverted fuel from its own Strategic Petroleum Reserve to supply the IDF, which is a major point of contention for American voters facing $85/barrel prices at home.
Hmmm…

Participantfollow-up from James …
About 40% of Israel’s oil comes from Azerbaijan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline to Turkey. While the oil is there, Erdogan is under massive domestic pressure. If Turkish voters see more footage of the Minab school massacre, they may demand Erdogan shut off the terminal at Ceyhan. No one can guarantee this flow if the Turkish street explodes in protest.
Even if the U.S. Navy says a path is “safe,” private insurance companies (like Lloyd’s of London) often refuse to cover ships entering a zone hit by Khorramshahr-4 cluster missiles. If a ship isn’t insured, it doesn’t sail. The U.S. government would have to underwrite the insurance themselves—essentially gambling taxpayer money on every single tanker.
The plan by Iran and Russia is to make the risk higher than the reward.
Russia provides the intel to hit the ships.
Iran provides the missiles.
China provides the economic alternative.
Ultimately, no one can guarantee a steady flow if the Mediterranean ports (Haifa/Ashdod) are under constant fire.Posted by: James | Mar 6 2026 13:20 utc | 999
