A little note I received … I have no comment on this as I don’t know.

There no longer is any doubt around the missile test fired into Siberia by Iran. 10,000 km ICBM, straight ballistic missile, to serve with a nuclear warhead which appears to be coming from North Korean tests. Whether the nuke warhead exists or not doesn’t matter. The missiles does, and that means they are 80% to deterrence.  A warhead without a missile is useless. A missile without a nuke can still carry a very heavy conventional warhead and the range and speed make it indefensible to the US. Thus, deterrence will be in their posture. NK is the model.

Meanwhile, Putin is working all the back channels to deal with Trump. Can’t go through the Oval Office. They filter everything. And CIA has to be avoided. The cryptocurrency market today has a value of $2.73 Trillion. 

Compare that with the Dollars that are sloshing around across the world, not even to talk about the US debt.  It dwarfs the crypto market by many orders of magnitude.

The national debt clock racks it up at 38 Trillion .. 38,000,000,000,000.  The markets hold massive amounts beyond that.

So, it is not cryptocurrencies per se that is the problem or if it is, it is small.  There is much more evil in the US dollar than in all the cryptocurrency markets combined.

We always read about the crime because it is titillating, but we do not read about the solid cryptocurrencies that are used today by countries and people that are fine and good.  Again, we have to point to China and their CIPS .. half of Africa live on the MPesa and the other half on CIPS.  Brazil lives on their PIX.  Russia’s internal system is called MIR.  And we are not touching yet the cross border settlement mechanisms now.  This is a massive business.

Satellites don’t operate just fine, they bang into things, they have limited lives, their orbits have to be adjusted constantly, they have fuel limits, the atmospheric drag varies with insolation and tides, especially for the low altitude birdies. A mathematician I know, knows a guy who “flies” satellites for a living…orbital calculations and most economical strategies. But the density of debris and machines in orbit grows exponentially….a non-linear difficulty…so even if they did work just fine now, they won’t work fine in the near future. On the satellites and what can go up and what can work there. We’re lost if we do not watch China. They are on the way to two satellite ‘super-constellations,’ CTC-1 and CTC-2, totaling 200,000 satellites – all networked. Starlink’s long-term target is 42,000. So the two superconstellations are a netcentric design, one does not fiddle with one or two for positioning, but with batches in a certain segment of the space defined as applicable for geostationary satellites. Their three ‘weather satellites’ or ‘earth monitoring’ (ha) up there are fully networked. I am still convinced that it is these ones that helped the Houthis with targeting – very quietly but there were dots that could be connected.

This satellite system from Musk is what Putin and Zi Xinping refer to when they speak about space having to remain a non warfighting domain. Of course, it is not going to remain this and between Russia and China, concern has been expressed about the so-called Golden Dome. The suspicion is that it is not a defensive system (if in fact it is designed even at this stage).

In terms of temperature control: The Chinese Space Station, Tiangong is modularly designed. Anyone, those that are invited, can go and hook their module to share resources. I don’t believe it is farfetched to think such a module could have temperature controls. Of course the Tiangong must have to keep the taikonauts at a livable temp despite controls within the space suits. My original remark was that Musk’s story about AI in orbit was impossible, a lie, therefore it had a purpose, it was misdirection. An excuse for some other sort of machine. That aligns with your suspicion that “golden dome” is a weapon, etc. The US space station has held up remarkably well…but fatigue due to thermal stresses has taken a toll… the sun-side is on the outside, blistering hot, the shade side very cold…metals don’t do that very well, and what’s hot, after a while, gets cold…thousands of cycles of thermal growth. Temperature management is a big deal…getting rid of waste heat…it’s all complex thermodynamics, radiation coupling and emissivity stuff… I have confidence in the Chinese engineering, and their metallurgists…I would not be surprized if they’d developed alloys just for this problem. The Kessler “syndrome” is as real as anything can be…and machines to “clean” are discussed…I suppose the Chinese are working on that…but cascades of collisions are already a problem, especially in low orbits. These are not geosynchronous…they can’t be. Geosynchronous orbit is about 24,000 miles up…but even there there are asymmetries in drag… probably mostly tidal forces. The birdies must correct position. Ahbetcha they plan to use ion thrusters or related reaction devices, “tiny rocket motors”…electric, they use no appreciable fuel… 😉 I assume the CTC-1 and CTC-2 groups are in the high orbits…roughly 24k.  It takes plenty more energy to put birdies in high orbit… ‘spensive.  Networking at 24k is pretty clean due to the signal to noise ratio being favorable. Birdie A antenna is “looking” at birdie B, and no other radio transmitter, and so forth, nice clean spectrum and plenty of it.
