Here is an interesting thread regarding slavery. In brief, it says that white people didn’t invent slavery, it was practiced through the ages by many nations and regions. Not only that, but whites themselves were severe victims of kidnapping and enslavement, including in the US.

Will Schryver retweeted the thread by Chad Crowley, who cites some books as sources, and I have to assume they in turn have their cited sources. I’m not scholar enough to know better, but this thesis turns on its head the guilt that whites are taught, guilt used as a weapon against them, while the equivalent guilt of others is never taught, but hidden from history. If the thesis is true, it makes a huge difference to some things that I am still turning over in my own mind.

Here are some brief excerpts (my emphasis):

“…slavery is older than Christendom. It is older than the modern West. It is older than any nation now standing. It is not a deviation from human nature, but an expression of it. Crowley expands on these points with much detail. If all this is true – and I guess I will have to research to know, because the ramifications are so profound – it becomes clear that whites were treated quite as badly as any other slaves, sometimes worse. But it’s a testament to the lifetime of one-sided teaching that I’ve grown up in that I feel uneasy saying and even thinking this.

It’s said that 3 of the 4 sailships (and probably all four) were fitted with variable pitch propellers…which seems to make sense on a sail ship because they can “feather” when the ship is under sail, thus removing quite a lot of drag… It’s speculated that the pilot advised “ahead” but the prop stayed in astern…the fellas in the engine space might not know the ship was going astern, as the shaft (usually these are visible) would always turn the same way. Maybe a coupling fell off…  It might have been a good idea when at the dock and testing engine ahead and astern that somebody went to the stern and looked at the propwash…  but even that doesn’t mean it will work next time, does it?

Ahbetcha the engine order was full ahead when they saw the bridge looming, assuming that the tidal flood and winds was carrying the ship into danger, and making the assumption that the prop was going ahead.

Most probably don’t grasp the implications… as a general rule nuclear stations tend very approximately to make about 1,000 MW each. They can be smaller, or bigger of course. So what’s a MW? It’s about 1,340 horsepower…(an EMD G16  (General Motors product) locomotive was a typical 1,800 horsepower…so estimate 1000 locomotive engines as a very rough equivalent plant output) Rancho Seco near Sacramento was 913 MW (it’s gone now). Depending on design, the fuel is probably enriched uranium – maybe 3% or so. In use the fuel gradually transmutes into various other metals, (and gases too, like iodine). Then the fuel is removed and “reprocessed” chemically. Among the by-products is plutonium…there are forms of Pu that make good bomb material, and forms that don’t, good design and operating procedures makes mostly non-bomb Pu. The Iranians are proposing then, to build maybe 20 nuclear power stations. Very sensible choice. I expect the plants will coordinate design with sound Russian designs, which are said to be the best in the world.

It’s also a political choice. The nazis are going to scream about “Iran planning to make Plutonium!” 

Iran is poking a finger in the nazis’ eyes. 

There can be no agreement to stop enrichment, none whatsoever…and their power plant plans make this emphatically clear.
