Graphite. Easy to make, any carbon source will do, but it takes a lot of kilowatts and a factory, which takes time to build and staff.  Carbon aplenty come from the waste stream from refineries, as petroleum coke – which is nasty stuff and contaminated with nickel and other stuff from the cracking process. This is sent in bulk to Korea and other “foreign” places and used in steel-making. Some graphite is mined, some is made. Often it’s contaminated with boron, which is right next to carbon in the periodic table of elements, and thus chemically so similar that it’s spendy to remove. There’s a wiki on the stuff. In nuclear work the boron is a killer of neutrons, and like a poison. Just a smidgeon and it’s useless for nuclear reactor use. That’s all I remember about graphite.

I was not in any sense up to date on the material, nor with the industrial consumption. I doubt there’s any significant need for graphite in atomic weapons, an important use, I suppose, but tiny amount. There are many millions of tons mined.

Graphite. I remember some months ago, maybe more than a year ago. we here watched a video presentation of the synthesis of graphene in a nice shop by a smart amateur.

One subsequent experiment by that intrepid feller involved mixing graphene with thermo-molded plastic, or maybe it was epoxy, old man forget. I forget the percentage, 5-10% ? Anyway it had a massive increase in the strength and added essentially no weight.

There is no war, there is fighting and vast killing and murder, but we are not at war, not yet anyway. And is speech interference with a war that does not yet exist? If rights are granted, they’re not rights, but permissions.  Crying “Fire” in a crowded theater, in the old interpretation, was given as an example of reasonably prohibited speech. But not if there really was a fire. Can mere speech even be an interference?

Because the forms are followed yet, a little, and because we see a big “crack down”, recognising that the “Free State” is shaking off what’s left, we note the German term for the process> Gleichschaltung. No doubt many will recognise that this term was in use in the period of World War Two, in certain parts of Europe. When, if, complete, the State will be free indeed. I think the idea is because the Brits gave the land of Israel to the zionists (and they called themselves zionist), they were of course in a state of being British subjects and as such colonized.  That is how this makes sense to me.
