ParticipantFive prophecies about the conflict in Ukraine that have begun to come true: https://www.kp.ru/daily/27671/5060224/ “The beginning of 2025 has dramatically changed the alignment of world politics. The US changed its tune and began to advocate for ending the conflict in Ukraine (which it itself provoked and fueled for three years). A “thaw” began between Washington and Moscow – negotiations on improving relations. And Russian troops, with a phenomenal breakthrough, practically drove the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region.
And the closer the situation is to the denouement, the more real the feelings are – the prophecies of Vanga and Nostradamus, clairvoyants, Orthodox elders and even filmmakers have begun to come true! ….

ParticipantInteresting scenario at 7:35. At the same time, there is now an awful lot of talk about negotiations and we actually have to wait and see how Russia will play it. What I wonder with so many interviews and which are often repetitive is whether it contributes anything substantially to awareness or whether it is just about generating income. I don’t mind the latter, but I actually always prefer to look for awareness.

Mr P
ParticipantYou will note that Gilbert reports from Belgium that the nonmilitaristic tradition, the mood, has given way under the propaganda of Die Bormann-Bruderschaft (aka the EU) of von der Lyin’ , given way to a marshall anti Ruskie passion, more or less. Even to supporting a draft! Mon Dieu!
I note that like zone 404, if the Europeans make war on Russia, then their apprehension that Russia will attack the EU, becomes fulfilled. Calling General Zhukov...must the Red Army go all the way next time, all the way to the sea? Is that the deeper lust in the psyche of Europe?
Dovetailing to this report, Frau Sara’s newsletter from 13 March> It begins (yes double meaning!)
“What is being negotiated today in the Bundestag is the most insane arms buildup package and the greatest electoral fraud in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany. Mr. Merz, of all people, who portrayed himself as the great guardian of public finances during the election campaign, is now presenting his voters with a boundless, debt-financed arms buildup. And the SPD, which just a few weeks ago was still portraying itself as a peace party, will now rush through unlimited war loans in order to continue the USA’s losing proxy wars on its own. In my speech in the Bundestag, I will explain why I find it audacious that the very parties that are carrying out this villainous act here seriously call themselves parties of the democratic center, and why we as the BSW clearly say: NO to these war loans!”

Dealing with the delusional.

Russia decided it will need to draw pictures and use simple photos to better convey Russia’s position because the delusional of the West are incapable of understanding spoken and written words. This simple photo was recently provided to the US special envoy Stephen Witkoff.
Unfortunately even this did not get through the thick skulls of the delusional clowns. The US administration thought Russia was telling them “The US is #1!”

Rus is beginning to utter plainly what the Fate is. And what seems pretty obvious. The Europeans insist on making war on Russia, and thus on their own “reformation”, to put it politely. We might say the same for Project Orange.

ParticipantRivers and left/right.
The general rule is
“As a general rule of thumb, when you’re heading from open water to inland water, or heading upstream in a river, you’ll want to keep the red markers to your right and the green ones to your left.
So, when you’re heading from the ocean into a bay, or from a bay into a creek, harbor, or port, the red markers belong on your right side.
Hence, the old saying “red right returning.” Sometimes you’ll see an aid to navigation that has horizontal bands of both red and green. These mark the junction between two channels. In this case, the color that’s highest on the marker indicated the preferred or primary channel.”The right side of a river is thus the mariner’s right when going up stream, his
back to the sea.In this image above it seems that right is called left. I am confused about this in the terminology we get from zone 404….and since the Black Sea is connected to the world ocean, the Rule red right would seem to apply, sometimes it seems as though left is right, so to say…
Maybe the Russian conventions, which would be extensive I’m sure, with respect to river navigation, are different…
I welcome comments. Perhaps the problem is between my ears 😉
-

AHH
Keymasteri remember an easy convention the Russians use.
Their PoV is the direct opposite you describe: from the vantage of one sailing down a river. So as the Dneiper flows generally southwards into the Black Sea, the left bank would be the eastern bank, abutting Novorossiya, and which the Russian army now approaches from the Donbass.. and the right bank would be the western bank, closer to Rummy’s Old Europe..
Perhaps the Anglos deliberately have a different standard than the continentals, being the eternally proud exceptional peacocks?? Like the weights and other measurements.. everything’s inverted and reversed and backwards, like the satanic bible
Talking of standards, the internet archive found one of my all-time favorite Saker posts, where Jungle Borrel wept to Madeline Albright about the central focus of this hybrid world war: the loss of the prerogative of the combined West to set standards (whether innovation, science, reserve currency, technologies, narratives, media control, etc etc) and for which they fight the return. See the comments too
For those can’t access:
“November 24, 2021
The EU High Representative Josep Borrell has just made a very telling admission, check out this video. Here is the interesting quote (at about timestamp 29:00, stress added): “And we western people, US and EU, we have been ruling the world because we were the standard setters, we were fixing the standards, we are the masters of how technology was working. And from steel-mills to trains, railways to everything warfare, we were the standard setting. If we are no longer the standard setting, we will not rule the 21st century.”Ahhh, finally!!! You heard it from a top level and very official representative of the West: the current tensions are about maintaining the western hegemony over the world. Back to the (1930s) future… QED.

Mr P
ParticipantThanks y’all.
Oh how stupid a poor memory can make one! I now recall the US system. It’s like this…it’s true that coming from the sea one keeps to the right, the starboard (so far as possible), and likewise going to the sea one keeps to the right (so far as possible). Noting that it’s sometimes necessary to pass oncoming traffic starboard to starboard, depending on for example the draft and depth. HOWEVER! The right and left banks are named as if the mariner was drifting down to the sea… thus the right bank is on the left, the portside, of a boat headed upstream, and the right bank is on the right side, the starboard side, sailing downstream. I actually have a certificate from the coast guard with perfect test results on this (from 1980?) …but old fellas disremember sometimes. Withal, the red bouys are on the left side of the river, the green bouys on the right. And the mnemonic for the colors is that port wine is red…the danger side. When a river bifurcates it can get complicated, and in estuaries tide sometimes reverses the flow… 😉 which can if you don’t know you position by keeping a plot and if visibility is poor, result in thinking you’re on the correct side of a river. I never had a radar (but sure wanted one, majorly neat!), and found myself in such a situation. Dropped the hook and looked at the tide tables and the clock and the current. Yup, wrong side of the channel. And there was ship traffic on that river… so I called the coasties on the RT to find out if there was a ship in the channel. There wasn’t. I waited for the fog to lift, tooting the horn regularly while unseen fishermen made their irritation pretty plain.

ParticipantI remember that there are at least three standards for fire hose connections! One’s Russian, and the US has another…but I forget the third. KeymasterI don’t know .. do we know what is considered upstream and downstream there? Perhaps search UNCLOS. I looked at the Australian system just for a moment and their markers are yellow and black .. But I did pick up that there are different systems – they say Western Australia uses an internationally recognised uniform coding system of navigation marks known as the IALA buoyage system A. So now we know, there are different systems.
That could be a start.

re: raccoons as pets:
in high school there was a kid who had a pet raccoon. it slept with him, he hand fed it, he’d rescued/nipped it from the brood. it didn’t need a leash but followed everywhere he’d go. one sad day he moved quickly, without thinking, & the pet took firm hold of his achilles & bit clear through. wild things being what they are.
once returning from a long day harvesting, my father glanced in the rearview mirror of the old blue plymouth, not expecting anything but dust, & there was a wolverine staring him straight in the eye. the animal took up the entire rear window, staring @ him sharp as a sniper. father, eyes locked on the mirror brought the car to a drifting stop, slowly gunslinger cool dropped his hand from the wheel, opened the door & slid out.
wolverines were always around but you never saw them. hardly ever left so much as a track in the snow.

ParticipantRacoons…are quite fond of fresh chicken, and eggs, garden vegetables, and quite willing to fight a dog. They are also beautiful. In Anoxia zone they are often, I’m told, carriers of rabies. They’re dangerous. All our fat laying hens “disappeared” …. And there’s a shortage of chicks now, people stand in line to buy the few chicks the Farm & Feed can get. We found a nice Mexican family that breeds chickens…a Mexican Rancho (I swear it was just like Mexico! A visit to the twilight zone…met the whole family, shaking hands rather formally with the men, and doing my best to say polite things in Spanish, admiring the orchard, stroking the old dog…Mrs P picked out 6 tiny hens from a cardboard coop in the livingroom. Just now they’re chirping under a lamp in our “cave”. Anoxia used to be in Mexico, and I think it still is. I wonder how racoons feel about electric fences… There are plans… 😉 And a robust chainlink enclosure…
The racoon reminds me of river otters. Like racoons, they have hands. Once rare, they abound in the Sacramento Delta, and will slither into an unattended boat, krap everywhere, and open everything openable, like a gang of juvenal delinquents…and steal a striped bass off your line and show it to you triumphantly. They too are beautiful, and get as big as a small seal, or medium sized dog. Their constant movement makes them difficult to see properly. People shoot them. I’ve seen that. Then they’re not beautiful.

Participantahh, Mr.P i used to love the hen house, the small chicks best of all. my chore was feeding the chickens, turkeys & geese. the geese took me for their own & would surround me, protecting me from my older brothers. i’d spend entire afternoons along the creek with the geese & ducks & family pup.
about raccoons: a bowl of ammonia works. smelly as they are they are very smell sensitive. o/c it helps not to have hole they can slip through, &, yes, they are smart with nifty pickpocket hands. once i had a family ensconced in the garden shed. the fellow i hired, told me, if you take a kit, the parents will scoop the remaining & abandon the ‘home’. so he took a pretty kit to a nearby wildlife rescue & the parents did indeed collect the remaining 3 & abandoned the shed.
i’ve a huge old cherry that every summer will bring a huge old raccoon soon as the cherries are lime green & far from ripe & he’ll take 2, maybe 3 days to strip every cherry. his agility, flexibility can be hypnotizing. he’s deliberate, methodical & never leaves the crows or me so much as one, no matter how we clamour or harass, the ground below is thick with the stones, the sum of all he cares to share.
best of luck, & hello to Mrs.P

KeymasterSorry I gotta vent Mr. P
This is unfiltered poppycock!
Exchange Z-NPP for Odessa? When ALL Russian leaders kept emphasizing since Sep 2022 that Zaporizhzhia oblast is inviolable territory per their constitution, and ALL its 1991 borders must be vacated by nazis?? And why bargain for Odessa with the Losers (pretending to be mediating for another bunch of losers) when it shall fall without a fight like an overripe fruit??
He has imbibed more risible AZE narrative and internal psyops, with the drowning pretending to have ANY cards and be in ANY position to make ANY demands, much less as deranged ones as this. I doubt they will even bring it up with Russkies, knowing the score of the correlation of forces and the mood of their “partners”. This is strictly bilge water pumped for internal consumption
Even his overall premise is deeply flawed. Sell 404 for Iran? When 404 is just about expired and will fall like Odessa into Russian laps? For a neighbor essential to future prosperity like the INSTC and a reliable anti-imperialist ally? In the middle of an existential war of civilizations, which both Orthodox-Islamic duo consider as part of the prophesied Armageddon? LOL. And that Iran lacks its own offensive wherewithal to sink the US Navy?! At this point even Grenada could sink any component of US Navy, with the proper “outfitting and guidance.” Iran’s relationship with Russia is only essential for DEFENSIVE purposes, especially diplomatic, political, economic, AD, Electronic Warfare and ISR.
These channels have lost such perspective and utility. This is why I avoid most “tactical channels”, either on Russian or Islamic Axes of Resistance. Hysterical, presumptive, gullible, and invariably drowning in data and imperial gaslighting due to lack of historical appreciation and information management. They’re easy pickins for the Empire, helping disseminate memes-du-jour

ParticipantYeah. I agree, Mrs P and I discussed it, it makes no sense. It may be what the Orange guy has in mind, though hs chips are worthless. I certainly did not intend to endorse the idea that Putin would agree. Obviously the deal is the deal, so the call must be to manipulate the Orange guy, ’cause it can’t have any significant effect on the Russians. I’ve said before that the propaganda builds a negative template, it’s usefull for understanding. For the same reason I listen to the BBC, briefly, most days, and the US NPR a little. A little is all I can take. My take was expressed by the joke call to Stumpy… Watch the oil price… The nazis are gunna try for Iran, and maybe even nuke both Yemen and Iran, ‘specially if capital ships are destroyed. The clue in the video is that Russia already controls access to the Black sea. They can close it anytime. Real world politics is not New York richcat politics… The fat fella is going to find out. Sorry I upset you. I’m too subtle in my posting sometimes. I expect both straits to be closed pretty soon, Yemen will close theirs, and the Iranians will close theirs. I am wondering about the rolling stock of tankcars for the just opened rail to China.

2:09

the need for external power sourcesThe first law of thermodynamics states that, when energy passes into or out of a system (as work, heat, or matter), the system’s internal energy changes in accordance with the law of conservation of energy.
The second law of thermodynamics states that in a natural thermodynamic process, the sum of the entropies of the interacting thermodynamic systems never decreases. A common corollary of the statement is that heat does not spontaneously pass from a colder body to a warmer body.
The third law of thermodynamics states that a system’s entropy approaches a constant value as the temperature approaches absolute zero. With the exception of non-crystalline solids (glasses), the entropy of a system at absolute zero is typically close to zero.
It requires work to make a car go. That’s force times distance. There are friction losses, generally as brake radiation, but also in the rubber tires, the bearings, and so forth. Radio frequency radiation available in ambient environment is orders of magnitude less than the work necessary to run a car, and there’s no differential, no enthalpy-entropy delta. Like they teach plumbers, “water” runs downhill…
It sounds like a scam. There have been many perpetual motion free energy scams.
Now then, a magic carpet… 😉

ParticipantThat’s an unfortunate thumbnail, I hope he didn’t choose it deliberately (he does like to shock). But it’s actually from the UK, taken during a recent trip this English expat with 13 years in China took, going back to the old country. Needless to say, he was shocked, viscerally taken aback at the decay, and the fear on the streets.

(first watching this i thought, ‘how is orange going to build battleships w/o steel?’ as kevin continued, i began to wonder, ‘O, yes, so orange’s team has decided to buy direct from china, putting an end to all the middling around tariffs & sanctions…but china? surely won’t want to directly help orange build weapons, ships & planes?’)

ParticipantFrau Sara gives a blunt speech…”explodes with anger! Enough is enough!”
subtitles in english and transcript in Kraut. Ten minutes.
The camera pans the nazis, the quisling compradore class, squirming a little, and nervous, as the guilty do when faced with truth.
I wonder, assuming AfD remains powerless and that the course of the Geman State continues to full catastrophe, (Der Staat setzt seinen Weg zur Selbstzerstörung fort.) what will follow after the crash? Zakharova was recently asked at interview if Russia would assist if Germany fell to dire situation, to collapse and we assume violent disorder, starvation, and so forth. She avoided the question, reminding that Germany had attacked Russia and so on… The question was repeated re-phrased, several times. Finally she gave a resigned unenthusiastic reply: “Yes”, she said, We will help”. Of course this may mean that in the Fullness of Time Germany will come under the wing of Russia, as it seems, Bismarck realised she must. Seen that way, Frau Sara would seek to avoid the blood and go to the outcome. History seems to suggest that revolutions are seldom without blood and terror. Still, it’s good to try to achieve the result without the pain, eh?

ParticipantAt Chronicles inter alia the idea of colonizing Mars is raised. The criticism there of such an idea may miss the point. By limiting the idea to “colony” of a self sustaining character other possibilities are avoided. Getting to Mars surface from earth surface and landing a 500+ ton rocket, and returning and landing on Earth with the same giant rocket, may well be entirely feasible. It was planned. They even planned to take a bulldozer along.
see searchterm “project orion atom rocket”
Here’s one example of the findings> https://oriondrive.com/index.php
The drive system is, I admit, a bit messy. But there have been major improvements. Orion was going to use really crude systems. I note that such a spacecraft would be able to minimize radiation exposure due to both the shielding it carries, and due to the brief flight times. Radiation exposure with long flight times of chemical rockets and economical orbits is a BIG deadly problem.
But to Mars…If the trip is 6 weeks (it would be) and the payloads in the 100’s of tons, who needs a colony? A base could be supplied easily. Not, then, “colonization” but occupation… General Ripper, no doubt, and Werner too, would be joyous.
Do read the stuff on Orion, and bear in mind, that was then…
