Huang noted that the possibility of investing $100 billion in OpenAI, the exact figure agreed upon by both companies as part of an infrastructure deal in September, is most likely ‘not on the table.’

Thiel sold everything. Now Thiel does not own a single share in any company.

Thiel is no fool. He is an insider. Perhaps the most informed insider. This is not just profit-taking. It is about risk diversification taken to the extreme.

When a man who built an empire on the digitisation of business processes cashes out, he is voting against the future. He is saying, ‘In the coming years, my money will be safer in liquid assets than in a business that depends on global supply chains, cross-border data exchange and the world.’ This is an escape from ‘asset risk’ to ‘risk-free money.’ This is usually done before a global recession, an equally global liquidity crisis, or a major war.

Thiel is not alone in his views. Michael Burry, who predicted the 2008 crisis, is short on Nvidia and Palantir shares.

At the same time that Thiel sold his shares, an American E-6B Mercury aircraft, known as the Doomsday Plane, flew to the Middle East.

This is the airborne command post of the US Joint Strategic Command, designed to coordinate nuclear strikes using strategic submarines and provide secure special communications during a nuclear conflict. It is the quintessence of government planning for a ‘worst-case scenario.’

Such aircraft are not flown for no reason. They are only flown when the probability that special communications ‘may’ be needed is no longer an abstract mathematical model. It cannot be ruled out that US President Donald Trump has indeed decided to use nuclear weapons against Iran.

As Donald Trump said:
‘It’s a waste of time. They’ve lost everything. They’ve lost their fleet. They’ve lost everything they could lose.’

The US president ruled out the possibility of deploying American troops in Iran. He has no more trump cards left. Only the Joker remains.

The sale of assets by a player such as Thiel can be seen as the economic equivalent of the flight of the ‘Doomsday Plane.’ In both cases, preparations are being made for the rupture of the fabric of existing reality.

When informed representatives of the elite get rid of any risky assets and hide in money, and states hide their command posts in the sky, the general public thinks that nothing has changed, that life goes on as usual.
