      Then, later we got programmable calculators and computers – Chinese started out with an abacus.  Same story – it’s a devil – it’s a terrible monster  – it is going to (add whichever calamity you can think of, but brainrot may be one of them).  I had a colleague that (early 1990’s) wrote a scholarly article that email will fail as a communication method.

      Then, we got networks and oy vey – we’re going to have broccoli growing out of our heads – all these cables and all these connections and so on – remember how people panicked about 3G and 4G and these standards – they are still panicking about wide area wireless communication.  We’re on 6th generation now, and it is only now that we can decently communicate at speed and suitable for space – earth communication.

      Cell phones – same trajectory.

      You can follow a similar trajectory on farming – farming technologies now will astound someone from the early 1900’s when they still believed a chicken cannot lay an egg if there is not a rooster.

      Similar in medicine – bear in mind there are still a vast amount of people that believe a virus does not exist.

      There is a vibrant and working alternative economic system still in heavy development now.  It is like the shadow fleet.  Those who do not learn it will remain in the banksters’ hands because they hand away an opportunity that came into the hands of humanity if we are willing to work for it, be really careful, and understand what we are dealing with.  The UNIT for BRICS is walking back into the abyss now and there is some rescuing to be done.

          Musing in old age, George Blake is said to have opined that Communism failed because Man had not evolved enough, yet. I am not so sure it’s failed, more like dormant, I suspect. We’ll see how it goes after the war is settled….will Communism re-arise? And re-arise evolved? Nevertheless I take Comrade Blake’s view seriously – and wonder about cultural evolution, which is to say structures and institutions that might keep decadence at bay, insure that such people are placed in appropriate occupations. Can incipient decadence be detected in the young? Can it be corralled? What is the role of capitalism in the nurture of decadence? I note that Marxist Theory is unfinished, and communist organizations continue to exist and have power, and that these are dynamic “machines”, evolving.

        Without the technical expertise i can still understand and get where youa re coming from. For a period of time i had a lot of contact with Americans about 10 years ago including with the banking scenario of an organisation i was working with. I was gobsmacked to discover they were still writing cheques and waiting for them to clear for sometimes even months when in Australia we  had sophisticated and fast electronic banking and shopping for so long that nobody had a cheque book anymore. They literally had no concept of my astonishment (and were not even the least inquisitive as to how or why either – this part was scary)
        For me after so long using electronic funds the jump to crypto in terms of everyday money use will not feel any different when and if it happens it will still be with the touch of a button. I don’t need to understand  the tech i only need to know it works – that’s pretty much how people feel. There were years of objections here to EFT but then suddenly even my 90 year old mother was shopping online.

        Perhaps what i experienced in the US is a factor in fire and brimstone fear of the evolution of electronic money: they were still writing cheques when most of the world were embracing (to different degrees) the new tech. America is a truly backward country in so many respects, its sad but true. However i still respect and admire the generosity of spirit of ordinary Americans  and their desire to cooperate and make a difference in the world. I hope this aspect of their culture stays strong while their dreadful ruling class tries to destroy the country.
