🇺🇸/Iran: US threatens Iran with wider war if it doesn’t agree to “nuclear deal” the US already used multiple times to prepare for and carry out unilateral strikes on Iran.

There is no US policy or plan for “peace” with Iran – only death and destruction with the ultimate goal of shrinking the multipolar world further.

This is a wake up call for those who insist the US is “retreating” to the Western Hemisphere rather than ramping up its global war on multipolarism.

Attacking Iran is part of a wider strategy aimed at isolating Russia and China – while the US continues another strike campaign on Russian energy production/exports in an effort to ultimately cutoff, isolate, and cripple China economically.

This is all being done in the small window the US believes it needs to establish  AI dominance as the ultimate “force multiplier” giving it permanent primacy over the planet into the foreseeable future.

This seems like a bad idea.  Everyone knows how peace talks with the USA go…

Well well … old tactics. If all else fails throw Erdogan into the breach. Any path to ‘negotiations’ with Iran is good enough.

Iran has notified maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz that it will conduct LIVE-FIRE naval drills on Sunday and Monday, reportedly together with RUSSIA and CHINA.

Hey! What are friends for anyway?

full quote...JUST IN! Iran has notified maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz that it will conduct live-fire naval drills on Sunday and Monday, reportedly together with Russia and China. Al Jazeera says the exercises will be held near the Strait of Hormuz, while other sources report the joint drills will take place in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean.

Seems as though there might be some “over-lapping of zones…” 😉

🇳🇪🇷🇺🇫🇷 Sky News Arabia reports, citing informed sources in Niger, that the pre-dawn attack on Niamey International Airport and Air Base 101 was not just a routine militant assault, but a targeted operation aimed at a disputed uranium shipment.

The sources say a large uranium cargo was at the airport at the time and was likely headed to Russia. France reportedly objected, claiming the uranium belonged to Areva (now Orano), which was forced out of Niger.

The report adds that Niger had been on high alert for two weeks, with aviation officials meeting security agencies on 16 January 2026 after intelligence warned of an imminent attack by a commando unit from Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), believed to be hiding near the airport.

Additionally, “Africa Initiative” reports the attack took place overnight on 28–29 January and was repelled by Nigerien forces together with Russian instructors.

The outlet says the fighting began around 02:30 and lasted about an hour, with heavy gunfire inside the base area. It claims 15 attackers were killed and that the terrorists moved on motorcycles.

The dystopian tech news is wild today.  I read “A Wrinkle In Time” I think I’ll skip the orb.

I read it. EBW’s are used in detonating chemical explosives. Guys with too much time play with them at home…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY-nsfBLz5c   and  (better) https://youtu.be/agwKNLoU6g8  I’ve toyed with doing it myself, but don’t want to bother the neighbors (or the cops) with loud noises…

Getting a set of them to precise simultaneity and getting that set to detonate a complex shaped charge is not so easy, but it was done in 1944 “the hard way” by careful quality control…(Nagasaki and Trinity and Bikini) and of course Joe #1 in USSR.

I think the story: “Shock Wave Generator for Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program:  More than a Feasibility Study | ISIS Reports | Institute For Science And International Security” is probably pretty accurate, but alarmist – white propaganda. The only real difficulty lies in getting the “poot”, which takes some time, and very fancy engineering, and some pretty nasty chemicals. Iran has that. So does Japan, So does iirc Germany and France (iirc Germany actually makes the cores for the French bombs, but I may be mistaken). Isreal and DRPK, of course. There are some paths to poot that work, but cost too much or are too slow. I’ve been told over beers by engineer who worked on the project that isotope separation and concentration via electrophoresis scaled to practical levels, but was too spendy… They did that in a rented warehouse in Oakland in the 50’s. Ahbetcha it’d be fun these days now that the DNA can be customised. Yup, via living plants…nochit.

In modern nuclear bombs it has become desirable to make small bombs that are football shaped…to fit in, say, a cannon tube.  In these the shaped charge is non symmetrical…and only two EBW detonators are used… To get the shock wave to transition to symmetry as it reaches the core uses (I am told) a silicon rubber skin with groves for explosive detonating composition. The pattern for this is doublesupersecret…but a bright high school kid could probably figure it. I think it’s possible to even use one detonator in a Pu bomb, utilizing the silicon mat trick. That means a implosion design is possible that uses a dynamite cap and a fuze…or maybe a .22 cal blank cartridge… go figure!

There really aren’t any nuclear secrets of any significance. The hiroshima bomb did not need EBW’s or a shock wave…and it went to 12 kt. I was told that the South African bombs were fancy versions of Hiroshima design…and by the way what ever happened to those, anyway… Where are they now?

It is a massive chaos out there regarding Iran.  The Cradle seems to be keeping their heads and regularly repeating the Iranian statements.

Issue is .. you attack, you start a war for real and there is no way that we will step back this time (like the 12 day war).

A note: The source of this is Al Jazeera, so, it is really questionable – Russia, Iran & China to conduct Naval Drills in the Gulf of Oman on Feb 1-2 according to Al Jazeera.

CENTCOM Force Posture Update — 2026-01-30

Carrier Strike Group 3 CSG-3 (USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72) has reportedly moved into the blue waters of the Arabian Sea, putting considerably more distance between itself and Iranian anti-ship missiles. Little surprise here. This is the same position the USS Fraidy Abe assumed during its last deployment to the region in late 2024. (See the full story here: https://x.com/imetatronink/status/1999676851263013072?s=20) 3 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers accompany the carrier. (96 Tomahawk total missiles)

There are now 5 additional destroyers, 2 allegedly in the Persian Gulf (those guys are playing with fire), 2 in the eastern Mediterranean, 1 in the Red Sea. (160 total Tomahawk missiles) There is also assumed to be 1 Ohio-class missile submarine. (154 total Tomahawk missiles) There are also rumors that 1 Virginia-class attack submarine is in the region. (12 total Tomahawk missiles) Total Tomahawk missiles: 422 (Tomahawk estimates assume a standard load-out of 32 TLAMs per destroyer.)

I would still characterize this as a relatively modest array of naval power — especially given the USS Fraidy Abe has now apparently distanced itself from potential Iranian anti-ship fire. I find it very unlikely the Fraidy Abe will launch carrier-based airstrikes into Iran from such a distant stand-off position. In my view, CSG-3’s movements in the past several days strongly confirm my longstanding thesis that carriers are obsolete relics of a bygone era. Fact is, the Yemeni proved that thesis in 2024-2025.

On the other hand, US air assets have been considerably augmented in recent days. More tankers, more strike aircraft (including at least one F-35A squadron), more SEAD aircraft (E/A-18 Growlers). No credible indication of strategic bomber assets (B-2, B-52, B-1B). But they could appear with relatively short notice. It also appears that the US has transferred pretty much all its available THAAD and Patriot systems to the region. They’re obviously trying to prepare as best they can for an Iranian counterstrike — although both THAAD and Patriot had abysmal success during the 12-Day War, and both the US and Israel effectively exhausted their stockpiles of interceptors, which was the primary motivation for them begging Iran for a ceasefire.

So that’s pretty much where we stand at this point. “Negotiations” between the US and Iran have completely broken down — no surprise there, since the US is effectively demanding that Iran prostrate itself and submit to imperial vassalage. I figure the fireworks could start as soon as tonight, but it’s also possible that the whole thing gets called off at the last moment. Why would they call it off at the last moment? Because the whole thing is nucking futs.

Sure, I understand that virtually everyone around the world believes the empire can go anywhere it chooses and do anything it wants against any country on the planet — and that “third-world Iran” poses no credible threat to US military awesomeness. But I remain convinced the US attacking Iran is an extremely high risk undertaking.
